Nothing yet, checked their press release pages and deb site. Have also reached out to them on Twitter. I would of thought they'll be vaguely quick as developed a Nexus but you never know. I think most manufacturers will announce release schedules next week with the release off Marshmallow into the wild.

Not very polite, just asking if anyone had heard and a good discussing to be had. Google shows nothing fur it anyway.
L was rushed out by Google then fast tracked by all manufacturers easy too quickly. I'm willing to bet everyone takes their sweet time to make sure all the obvious bugs are quashed before releasing M for their devices

Here here, it took a while for most devices to get a nice stable build. Though L was a massive change up from KK, M is more of an incremental release. I'm hoping LG will be releasing soon as poer prev comments of having a good amount of time with the code.

I see no way the 2015 X gets O officially. But it can be rooted so it will likely be available that way.

It isn't necessary!
Every Android devices can be rooted.
The device should be capable of the upgrade then only any official or unofficial ROMs can be made for it.

I believe that was my point. As for every Android device can be rooted, I'm sure there are examples of that not being so. Right now the Moto Z Force Droid cannot be rooted.
The Z Play get? Would be great
I don't really believe that article (yet).
It now also has a "(received)" behind some devices. Is Android O really already rolling out?!
Also there is not source of any kind provided...

Yup!
But maybe this is correct because Motorola have decided to give Android O to G4 plus and and G5 plus.
well...ill believe it when i see it. they also told us the droid ultra/maxx would be getting successive updates that never happened. know what we got instead? "here, have a discount towards a new phone"

And do you have a source for that information? Or did they just tell you?
Ok stop with these thread already. I know i'm upping the thread for you but this is non-sense.
Even if any Moto phone is getting android O, if at all, it's going to be more than a year from the RELEASE of android O anyway.
Look left. Do you see my avatar? Yeah, I'm gonna be like that before any of this happens.
vietkao, please click unsubcribe for all threads containing Android O in the title according to your statement for at least half a year and let others discuss what they want. It is known there can't be any facts at this time, but like the linked article says, there are valid speculations which devices could be eligible for the update. You may tell that it makes no sense at this time (I think it does, it may change my recommendations to friends and family which device to buy!) and then we may discuss this, but "stop the thread" is not appropriate. Thank you in advance
and XT1635-02 ???
@tute123456, you are aware that XT1635-02 is listed as Moto Z Play in the "probably supported devices list" in the OP, aren't you?

I've heard that the Moto G5 is getting 7.1.1? Is this correct? I'm waiting for the update! To confirm this. Thanks in advance
please don't open threads like this - iv heard that i'm going to win the lotto next week - doesn't mean its going to happen
As to is this correct? How do we know? Your're the one telling us - Members of xda don't know what is going inside Motorola and only know what is publicly released by them.
its not informative and there are plenty of other update type threads already - we don't need yet another
If I'm "wrong" blame this guy?!
I don't think he was suggesting it was wrong, just that no one outside of Motorola knows. A lot of people have not had a single update to their Moto G5 and are still running Android 7.0 with a security patch level of January 2017...

If that was a Motorola chat person it's been proven they don't know dates or anything about releases other than what is already publicly available on the Motorola website
Soak tests can last months & then they are rolled out in stages depending on the following
Geographical location
Device variant
Retail (sim unlocked from purchase) or branded (bought from a carrier eg Vodafone or other non retail eg amazon)
If a Motorola chat person gives you a date it's because they are fed up with people asking & just want to get rid of you

Yeah? ?
Please do NOT post "Is Update, 7.x.x, O preview, etc" threads... 99.96% of these are purely speculative, and the other .04% are subject to change at any moment.
Also, before posting a thread, please ensure that there isn't ALREADY a similar thread previously posted as only ONE thread for each topic needs to be active in Xda.
Otherwise we'll have 6,824 threads about the next upcoming release, because everyone wants to see their name as OP, or can't check the forum to see if there is a thread about that topic already opened.
Please read and follow the forum rules BEFORE posting.
In this instance, pay particular attention to Rule #1
Thanks for your cooperation.
I found some info on the internet regarding stock Oreo-rom released in (some) parts of the world last year. :cyclops:
Is this true and if so, how come I can not find any downloads of this rom?

Motorola have announced that all moto g5 series phones will get oreo
When that will be no one knows & no one at xda will be able to tell you
It has been probably a year since that announcement was made

Here we go guys, Some manufacturers already showed their roadmap to android 10 (nokia, one plus etc) today.
Im creating this topic to discuss the Update Release for our Phone, so we dont have multiple threads for discussing it. News and things like that are welcome.
Android 10 will be released very soon for the Pixel.
Now let us pray that we are also going to receive it. And hopefully not like in 2023.

xz2 is 100% getting it. xz1 we dont know, but sony provides 2 major updates to its flagship since xperia Z
Maybe from Sony IFA can give us an answer later
Not sure if this is a good source for info:
But....
https://www.theandroidsoul.com/android-10-release-date/#sony
still nothing officially, but would be a shame a hi end device only receiving one major update.
Official AOSP 10 binaries for XZ1 Compact

Was anybody able to compile the AOSP version from Sony for the G8441?
I just ran into errors after starting to compile with make command.
i highly doubt we'll get Android 10 for the phone...
the phone is already 2 years old and between years 2-3 it will probably receive only security updates...and that will probably be every 3 months too.

Yep, and Official Android 10 binaries 5 posts above is just an illusion, you are completely right !
I'm hoping for a full Android 10 Sony branded update, but not holding it hope.
We've got AOSP support, but there's a lot of driver and codec deficiencies in that build, like losing aptX and H.264.
https: developer.sony.com/develop/open-devices/get-started/supported-devices-and-functionality/current-platform-functionality-maintained
Hey Sony - please make a Difference and keep updating Devices to latest Android for (at least) 5 Years.
i'm sure that would also increase Sales !
