Slim7 port - Xiaomi Mi 5s Questions & Answers

Hello,
Is someone interested to port Slim7 to Mi5S?
I tried to build it but I failed miserably. I cannot put a correct local manifest and give up after multiple different error messages.
So if someone more advanced than me to this is interested, please do it

[Q] updater script, etc.. GPE Gonna make a rom. er, maybe.

Are the device trees the same between the 500 and the 510? If not, what might be the closest device to the gpe?
If so, does anybody have :
updater script for mount points, I've got em cat, but easier would be to have a template, same for the following two.
the BoardConfig.mk
the device_[codename].mk
And any other info that may be relevent.
All help is greatly appreciated. I'm trying for a Cyanogen mod from source for the 510. I know somebody else may, or may not be doing this per ifo in the rom threads and Iv'e heard, but am giving it a go myself.

Problems with building Paranoid Android

Hi,
I got some troubles with building Paranoid Android for xiaomi Mi5s+.
After i add my local manifest file ( link : https://hastebin.com/zeheguwoce.xml )
repo sync give me this error "fatal: couldn't find remote ref refs/tags/la.um.5.8.r1-02200-8x98.0"
Anyone could help me with this?

fatal:l Not a git repository

Hi
I hope this is the correct area for this question?
I am having a go at building crackling for the Wileyfox Swift (1). I have set up a Unbuntu machine for this purpose as per the instructions on the Lineage website.
The problem I am having is downloading from git.
All goes well for a while, but then I start seeing -
Fatal: Not a git repository: /home/Ubuntu/android/lineage/.repo/projects/external/guice.git
The last folder and file in that string vary.
I have tried git init but that doesnt help.
What I am doing wrong?

Thank you for those links :good:
Unfortunately only one of them mentioned the problem I have, but it had a solution that didn't apply for me.
My problem isnt the setup (I think), as I have copied exactly the instructions on the lineage website.
Most of the source does download, but there's a few dozen areas where it fails with the above metioned error.

A Vendor image contains device-specific hardware drivers and universal for all apps within a smartphone or tablet. A ROM developer can create universal ROMs for multiple devices, then users can apply the appropriate vendor images for their own devices.
