I used Package Disabler Pro to change permissions and can now uninstall. It does not look like a system app. I disabled it and both usage has dropped! Should I uninstall it?

Tap on settings, Data usage and then Data saver.. Turn it on and then tap on "Allow unrestricted data usage" then tap on the 3 little dots in the top right corner and select show system apps then go through the list and uncheck anything you don't want using a lot of data without permission.. Package disabler can also be used to disable an app entirely like the other poster said. I think turning on Data saver is better first though so you know what else is on.
This is for Android N by the way.

Thanks for the reply. I'm the other poster. The question I'm really trying to ask is, is that a true system app or is it some other app with a system app icon? That's why P.D.P. gives the option to uninstall. I don't think P.D.P. can uninstall a true system app.

No it's not a real app, or not a needed app anyways! I don't have that on any Samsung that I have and yours is using way way wayyy to much internet and power! I'd get rid of that if I were you!! None of my file managers have ever needed to use any internet like that!! I use root explorer!
Thanks. I uninstalled it! I'm gonna ODIN Nobarb's full package for a fresh install.

Okay so I have done a couple searches on this question but the terminology is too general and I always end up with a bunch of articles on how to delete bloat and the such so I was wondering if someone could just end my curiousity once and for all:
When you access your "applications" folder of all your apps from your homescreen, and you hit options, then edit, and then small minus symbols appear next to all your apps, you can click these and it asks "are you sure you want to delete the application?"
I know this is a way to hide bloatware but not delete it before rooting, but I was wondering if this is a full uninstall for other apps. If I use this method to rid my application folder of an app I don't want anymore, is it the same as going into my downloaded tabs in memory management and uninstalling it? This has been bothering me for a while, and while this is a pretty convenient way of deleting apps, I want to be sure I'm completely uninstalling them, not just hiding them away somewhere.
TIA XDA.

No problem. It should be available on custom roms too as I think no Dev will take that option out. There is also this option if you home button and select task manager and then the tab show in the pic.

I'm sure there are several "tracking apps" that would allow you to track from a computer. I use AVAST Security app. I have it installed as a system app. I locate the device with a simple command via text message from my wife's phone or by computer. Even if GPS is off it will turn it on for the location service. The user is never aware when it happens.

Does this app have a hidden mode? Like you can only open it by dialing a set pin number? Because I'd like to have one in mine but it's pointless if it shows up in the app drawer or hidden apps... everyone knows those are there.

What is this and where did snoopwall come from, and can I remove it ?

Dunno how to remove it (yet), but maybe it hitchhiked in on another app? I hate when app makers bundle other stuff in their apps but it happens on occasion.
EDIT: Ah, think I found out why you can't remove it. According to:
https://snoopwall.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/201186946-Why-is-the-uninstall-button-greyed-out-
"SnoopWall needs to be an administrator of your device in order to block access to ports. This means that the administrator access needs to be removed before uninstalling. To do this you should go to security under settings and then click device administrators then uncheck SnoopWall. After this you should be able to uninstall SnoopWall just like any other app."
Mee too
I am having the same experience on a S4. Anyone figure out where this came from?
I don't have an entry under Application Manager for Snoopwall, nor does Titanium see it.
Pissing me off...

Same, I don't see any entry's at all. I'm pretty sure it piggy backed on another app.
Just don't know which one cause it waited a while before giving a notification

When I had first encountered it, I was unsure how it got installed.
After I flashed a custom ROM it went away, so I figured it was from Samsung
Well it just popped up again, and it did it when I logged into my bank app.
So I removed the notification then logged back into it and it popped up again
So its my backing app lol, basically telling me that I have root

Seems like to get the theme option you should just be able to pull the launcher.apk out of another variants base rom and drop it on sysytem/app
If you root, you can reenable it with G3 TweakBox.

Enable the secret menu under LG Launcher Tweaks. Then go to settings. Go to Display. Under the Home screen settings, scroll down. You'll see a hidden menu. Tap on it. Scroll until you see FEATURE_USE_THEME. Check it off and reboot. Bam!

I just got the dual sim model. Doesn't this phone have notification banners?? When i am using an app and if i receive a notification from another app I get a sound/vibration notification and an icon on the status bar, but no banner appears on top of the screen for few seconds and goes away. I have ticked all the notification boxes in settings. Is this feature not there on Samsung phones? Could someone please advice before me selling the phone, its a huge feature for me, I mean for me.
One the Note5 you set where and when notifications appear in settings.
It should apear only if you status bar is hidden... games and so on.
It doesn't appear in any case. Did anyone else have this issue.

Hi, yes but I do not get the pop up notifications when I'm using an app. There is an option called apps that appear on top in app permissions, most of the apps are greyed out there. Possibly because of this? Please let me know a way out if possible. I loved the phone.
