Connect your SD card to your PC using a card reader. And format it to NTFS or exFAT (whichever work).
If your device don't recognize NTFS then format with exFAT.. Try not to use Fat32

Solved using exFat with wake lock app in partial mode

Soooooo interesting ??
sd card and fingerprint incompatiblity. im just surprised
Glad that you solved your problem

PA becomes unusable when SD card inserted

Hey Guys, I seem to be experiencing a problem with the usage of my micro sd card and paranoid android. The sd card is a Patriot 32 GB micro sd hc class 10. When the sd card is not inserted, my phone behaves as expect (responsive and fast). When the sd card is in the phone, the ram becomes maxed out and it is too slow to use (takes 20 seconds to unlock, apps lock up, etc). Any ideas on what is going on? The sd card was a fresh card that I formatted as fat 32.
Thanks
Kyle
Mm that sounds very strange. I recommend you format the card via the recovery on your phone. Maybe you can format your whole phone and put on a clean and fresh rom. I think your problem will be vanished.
Maybe there are other solutions, but I don't know. I'm curious to know though. Maybe there's someone with a better solution?

So far so good, thanks for the suggestion. Formatted everything from the cwm mount menu. Thanks! Just had to start from scratch again.

microsd 64, please help!!!

i´ve bought a 64 gb dandisk microsdXC and doesnt work allright.
i have inserted in the xplay and works great, but when i connect it to the pc by usb cable massive storage the pc says that doesnt recognize the device, or it recognized it but i start moving files and error appears. then i disconnect it from the pc and the XPlay sais the card is empty and i have to restart it an again recognizes it.
If i use the micro sd to sd adaptor and insert it in the laptop card reader, it works great but if i use a microsd to usb adaptor the laptop says i have to formatt the card.
i dont know what is happening.
somebody please help!!!!!
i dont what causes that but using airdroid will solve youre probleme
i have this probelem with my 8gb sd card too
I don't think the phone properly supports 64gb, only up to a max of 32gb microSD cards. That's probably your problem there.

I use 64Gb SandDisk Class 10 microsdXC card that work without problems. Sounds like you need to format your SD Card to work properly. Be sure to BackUp/Save all your Data First and then Format the SD Card.
Formatting Instructions can be found here.

[Q] Micro SD Card problem

Hi there.
I'm having problems with the SD card, is always unmounting with no apparent reason...
When I'm on the Album (or gallery) and I scroll trough the photos (I've got a few) the card is unmounted and I need to take it of, and put it back in...
While I'm copying files from the PC to the card (trough the phone) the same thing happens...
The card is a sandisk class 10 32Gb... it was used on my SGS2 and never had any problem...
Does it worth to buy another card, or someone else is having the same problems?
I think this is a problem with your sd card. I don't have any problem like that.
Can you please tell me what card do you have?
I have already formatted the card on the pc and on the phone, the result is the same...
Weird problem, I own a Goodram 32 GB Class 10 micro sd card and I haven't got any problems with it. You say that you have tried formatting the card. What format have you chosen? Have you tried reset to factory reset your device? Are you on some custom rom or the stock one? Do you have a possibility to check wheter the problem exists with other micro sd card? Perhaps you can borrow it from someone for a moment or you have another one somewhere. Worst case scenario the card port could be damaged.

I have a Kingston microSDHC 32GB, Class 4 :good:
Hi,
I'm sure that's an issue with your sd card. I've had the same issue with my old SGS3 and an SanDisk 64GB sd card. Then I bought a new Kingston 64GB sd card and it works.
I formated in FAT and in FAT32, same result in both.
Im in the stock ROM, totally unchanged.
I already get a new card and I'm testing it now, if it stills get me troubles I will try the factory reset.
Yeah... that is my fear... that the port is defective or something like that
Ok, updating from the previous post.
I've bought another SD Card and although that on the first time that I used it on the phone, it gave me the same behavior, after formatted it on the phone itself, so far so good.
I've tried the old SD Card with an adapter on the pc, and it works fine, no problem at all... so it must be something specific to the phone, I've read that some Samsung are a SD card eaters, so I believe that the problem is related to that (my previous phone was a SGS2).
Thank you all for the tips.

Not necessarily.
Card of class 4 may be good enough for your computer, specially if it is older too, but may be too weak for newest modern phone.

An SD card can't be 'too weak'

[Q] SD Card Mounting too late

since few weeks i am observing with differents roms (KK ,JB, ICS all) the SD card after reboot is not getting mounted immediately, mostly it is taking about more than 5 minutes after boot, and also sometimes not mounting untill i click on an app which is installed is SD card.
and walkman also talking so many reboots to find media(songs) in SD card after new rom install.
is it card problem or anytinh else?
Try with another card and see if the problem still persist.

format your card with minitool or easus and then try again. just connect your phone to your computer with the sd card in ums mode and format it to fat32 (if it is <=32 gb).
obviously you should backup the stuff on the card to your pc first ^^

Urgent help! Cm13 not detecting my micro SD card

So I came from installing the cm13 rom. It ask me if I want to use my 128gb sandisk micro SD card as a internal storage. I press yes. It got stuck at 20% and after it stop (message photo would be in the attachment ) .Since then my pc, my other Android phone can't recognize the micro SD card and when I restart the process to make it a internal storage and would stay at 20% and give me a small message at the end.

Same exact problem here. No idea how to fix it. Corrupted the heck out of my SD card, and I had to use Windows to format and make things right again. I'm sticking with 12.1 until I hear exfat is working on the 128gb card.

Could you tell me the troubleshoot steps that you did on your windows to fix your 128gb card, because I have the same amount of space as you have and it isn't working.
