I've been going strong with 100% battery and had all relevant packages disabled with package disabler. Then boom, an update from ATT on 5/24.
Guess I'll try to ODIN back to stock. Anyone else get the update with packages disabled?

There is no go back. But you can check Alliance on fb and search for a post rooting your kill update phone.

Ive used previous MIUIv4 ICS roms and never had this issue, but I installed this one earlier today,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1493631
A few of my apps didn't show up, Bank of America and Endomondo Pro. When I went to restore with Titanium Pro, they wouldn't install. I went to restore them with MIUI Backup app, the restore failed. When I go to the market to redownload them I get a error, "missing shared library".
Does anybody know what that means and can help me fix it? I've read a few things doing some research and it has to to do with Google Maps or GAPPS? Im not really sure. I have Google Maps on my phone, so what's the issue?
Fixed.

same problem here
I recently installed the rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1859196) with no problems. But im having some issues (maybe minors)...
1.after while of letting the phone in standby, the clock tells the wrong time by a few minutes and i have to set the time again
2. Xiaomi account gives me constant network error (phone data and wifi). I can use wifi/data fine with other apps and browser
3. Phones date reste itself to year 1970 constatly after put it to actual date
Any advice
Ps: should i leave on the usb debug feature?
There is this miui also.

Always leave on USB debugging. It let's you side load apps

Update: the date/year reset happens each time the phone rebots and the actual network error is because of that, when I change the date back to 2013 i dont get the "network error" on the apps
I dont have the miui toolbox app.. How do i get it? Cant find it

You have to flash a MIUI.us rom. MIUIAndroid doesn't have the toolbox.
Now that we have root, how do we stop the OTA Updates. I looked through Titanium Backup to try to freeze SDM.apk but the file does not seem to exist. Any help?
I just froze both update apps and I no longer get OTA update notifications. Go to titanium backup and search update, you should see 2 green update apps, freeze those. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I froze those apps, now time will tell.
Google how to change your fingerprint in "build.prop"
I went back to 4.4.2 on my Nexus 5 and was getting the notification all the time till I edited my build.prop from 4.4.2 to 4.4.3 and haven't had a notification since
: edit
Just picked up my Tab S 8.4 today and after rooting I wasn't fast enough to catch the OTA download but after editing my build.prop the notification was still up after a reboot so with confidence I hit install and a pop up stated that "modifications have been found" and it couldn't perform the OTA .
Am happy [emoji12]
Yes I'm aware that root alone is a modification that could prevent the OTA [emoji33]

Yeah, I still have this software update notification looming over me that isn't going away. Ìm rooted - is there a preferred method of knocking out these software updates/notifications (either the Titanium Backup or build.prop edit above)? When I search "update" in Titanium, I get both the software update results mentioned above, along with Secure Policy Updates. Disable all 3? Forget it and edit build.prop? Does it even matter which? thx

I went ahead and froze both software updates in TB - seems to have stopped the notifications. I'm still interested in knowing if there's a general method most people follow tho - I've been putting off doing the same thing on my S5... thx

I'll say it again "EDIT THE BUILD.PROP"
I don't use titanium backup and edited the build.prop .before I edited the build.prop the update had already downloaded and that notification wouldn't go away till I accepted it ,once you accept it after editing the build.prop a prompt pops up stating that your device has been nodded and the install is declined.
NO MORE NOTIFICATIONS FOR OTA [emoji12]
Google how to do it

Hello,
With the Lollipop update going out, I was going to see if it was available. Well, my Check for Updates option is gone! It disappeared! I know where is used to be...Settings->About Phone. It just isn't there at all. It isn't greyed out or anything, it doesn't exist.
I checked every place under settings, and it's not anywhere. So, does anyone have a clue as to what happened to my Check for Updates option?
Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Mine was never located there. It had, and still does have its own label in the settings.

Thank you for responding. Unfortunately, I do not have an option anywhere for Check for Updates (except for the security part). I am confused!
If you don't have System Updates at the bottom of the settings menu then it must have been turned off.
Have you used the DeBloater utility by @gatesjunior (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58068827&postcount=1) or the script to turn off OTA updates by @Misterxtc (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=57476453&postcount=1)? Both of these procedures have the capability to remove the System Updates menu. If you have then you need to re-enable the processes that control system updates. Probably the easiest way to do this is with the script by @Misterxtc.
Thank You Dwillian! I totally forgot I did this. You saved me a lot of time and sanity! I really don't know if I would have ever remembered I did this, had you not responded.
Again, Thank You!
MetalWych
BTW, I am getting the update right now...

If you installed the disable Knox and block apps tool witch keeps from ota updates, then the system updates option in your settings menu disappears, and re appears if you re enable knox and rebloat your device

I downloaded 5.0 LP but not yet installed as I think I will wait a few more days for root. My question is how do I delete that update so it doesn't automatically install say when I turn my phone off and on?

I'm interested how the update works out for you.
I'm holding off a bit before I take the update to Lollipop. I'm interested in rooting my phone (assuming that becomes possible in the near future), so I'm going to wait awhile.
I may still go ahead and take the LP update if I see favorable reports and @gatesjunior's Debloater works on LP.
Any feedback on LP is appreciated.

It will work on Lollipop, and you can roll back even if you decide you don't like it.

Can someone help, I installed a custom rom and no matter which rom I install I have this app called Mein A1. I originally had no idea what it was because it's in German or something. After further investigation it looks like it has something to do with an Austrian mobile network. I have installed about 5 roms now and it always appears and it does not have the option to uninstall it but just disable. Normally titanium back up will remove anything and that can't even remove it because it says it is unable to find the APK. Please can someone help its driving me insane why it can't be removed.
Thanks
It sounds like you don't have full root abilities. Given that it is happening on all the roms you have flashed, it's likely you are using the addsu zip too root yes? You need to get the magisk 16.xx applicable flash able zip.
