So ive read couple of threads here on the forum on how to unlock bootloader running android P
but didnt get it clear, should i run both fastboot unlock and and after that fastboot unlock critical? or is that only if i want to update bootloader ?
and no password set on the phone?
is that all ?
only flashed oneplus, samsung, lg, etc wich seems easier.

Might as well do both. Since the first one you do will wipe your phone anyway :good:

I'm currently just stock + root + V4A + sub themes. I've run DU, AquariOS, and Nitrogen. They're all very good, but the Dev for Nitrogen is very good, and very involved in his thread. Can't do much better than that :good:

It's pretty easy. After you fastboot into twrp, flash the twrp installer zip, then your custom kernel, I like Flash or Ex, then flash the magisk zip. BTW, if your going to run Nitrogen, you'll need to downgrade to 8.1 first. Which, unfortunately, will wipe your phone again

Yeah, unfortunately, you'll need to be on July 8.1 before you flash nitrogen. Just the way it is my friend.

If you didn't do ...fastboot flashing unlock_critical...then, yes, just run fastboot flashing lock. Are you familiar at all with updating your device with factory images?

Try both and enjoy. Why limit to one ROM
Stock ROM is somewhat stable
With custom ROM you will get android pie

Just flash ROM and gapps and don't flash firmware while flashing custom ROM
While flashing stock MIUI ROM use fastboot ROM to flash and there won't be any chances of brick. MiFlash software checks bootloader index before flashing a ROM so it is safer way

So Finally installed GCAM after unlocking the bootloader , installed Redwolf recovery & rooted with Magisk & its working good. Will i be able to upgrade to MIUI 10 with OTA or have to follow some other process?
Also, which ROM & kernel setup do you use.
Thanks in advance!

It may work but how you're gonna flash it without the bootloader unlocked?
No I fully understand that I need to unlock bootloader, root it and get TWRP on it.
Did anyone try doing this?

What i mean is that there is no TWRP, no official way of bootloader unlocking for IQOO(vivo). They are deem to doom.

Hello everybody,
yesterday I installed the ROM V.11.0.7 but it doesn't make any changes. It seems official. It's terrible! Today I tried to put the V. 11.0.5 but it does not even let me install the TWPR 3.4.1B I probably made a mess.
It doesn't allow me to downgrade.
Can you help me please?
Thanks a lot!

To come back to miui from AOSP you must use miflash tool to flash an official fastboot version of miui. It's necessary because miflash restores some partitions that are altered by flashing AOSP roms. Just remember not to relock the bootloader because miflash can do that.

You must bind your mi flash to your account to be able to use it to flash a rom on your phone. Note that mi flash will recognize your phone even if you had flashed a different rom on it.

ok then you are using xaiomi phone so make mi account and request for unlocking bootloader then find a custom rom and flash it according to what developer has said.
