Note II parts quality? - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hey guys I wanted to ask something about quality of parts for my phone.so i have my phone almost 4 years and its kinda beat up so I thought about replacing back cover maybe and screen glass too(scratched AF)and my budget is note greate so I wanted to know are those cheap like from 2 to 10 dollar parts same or not terrible quality to buy or they will be trash? also broke my camera and it does not focus any more will it be the same quality I have in my phone if I buy the module? thank you very much!

Replacing the front glass is not easy to do without damaging the LCD.
I replaced the rear camera on a Note 2 sgh-i317m with a cheap replacement from eBay. The camera works and the picture quality is also the same as the original camera.

well thank you for answer.I will stick to just buying camera for now.cant risk changing display its too expensive

Galaxy S2 Metal housing and Rear camera

Good morning everyone, I have searched high and low for a possible sign that someone has made a Galaxy S2 Housing (not just the back cover) made of metal (aluminium or whichever) and have not found much, although I'm certain SOMEONE must have done it. My phone is out of warranty so I'm not scared to fiddle around with it and have some spare money to tinker with my phone so I don't mind buying some stuff.
One other thing, I have seen some rear cameras available on Ebay for the S2 but the delivery costs have always been +50$ on top of the price of the camera and that's just too much for me to justify. Is there a good website offers these cameras that can ship to Canada?

Help find replacement rear camera glass lens, please

Hello, everyone! I've been gone from here for a long time, but I keep upgrading my devices. My newest one is a Samsung Galaxy Note 3, by T Mobile. Its the best phone I've ever owned! & I love it! But I also smashed the little square glass that covers the rear facing camera and can't seem to find a replacement on fleabay.
Does anyone know of a compatible replacement glass? Or where to get a proper replacement glass? Thanks in advance!

What color is it? White or black?
Can find here: http://www.etradesupply.com/samsung-galaxy-note-3-n9005-rear-housing-white.html

but it's not cheap... if it's not bothering you too much, I suggest you wait a month or 2... the parts will be on eBay for much cheaper. Probably $10-15.
Thank you. White, btw. I had found that same part on fleabay for $32 as well. Little pricey, I ended up purchasing a replacement lens for a note 2. I know its not the same size, but I want to protect the camera and keep the phone sealed up, plus I can't take any pictures right now because they're all fuzzy. For $3, it's worth a shot.
Thank you!

I've bought 3 or 4 from China. They're good where the vendor is reputable. Look at the number of units sold and the ratings. They're around 45USD. Removing the assembly from the frame is doable, but replacing just the digitizer is NOT recommended, as I've tried at least 5 of them from various sellers and none worked properly. Plus the digitizer touches the LCD at several points and without LOCA, would create rainbow spots, which would not affect functionality, but esthetically undesirable. There are guides on how to go this is you Goog. Have fun.
I replaced 2 screens on 2 N7, yes, buy the LCD+digitizer+screen combo. Even then, removing the broken screen from the frame is difficult, the melting point of the glue is very high and on both N7 I melted a little bit the frame...
I bought the 2 combo here:
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/181285339236?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
One had a dead pixel after a few days and is kind "yellowish", the other one is as OEM and has better color/white balance, so YMMV.
I think i ll go for the 2 combo. I hope that it will not be yellowish. Thank you for the help!

I was wondering the same thing. I bought mine cracked so I'll wanna replace the screen
Witrigs, ETradeSupply are good stops for replacement screens. I've ordered from there over the years from various phone models and their quality is always good.

I'll check them out. Thanks
Update: only ETradeSupply had the right parts. $70.44 for a new screen. I paid $80 for a V20 with a cracked screen. I guess I got lucky too because they said the cameras took glazey pictures and it was blacklisted, but the only problem was the cracked screen. If I get some spending money I'll end up buying it.

Yeah. Grade S+ is always going to be OEM, whereas lower grades like Grade R is always 3rd Party. They're pretty good about disclosing all that and never had a question about it's quality; even when it came to iPhone LCD parts.
I just replaced my screen with one from Witrigs. Worked a charm. Until T-Mob has an LG VX phone for the high speed 5G network, i'm keeping this phone forever.
50 years ago, I dreamed up a system for micro LP's and a tiny vinyl players to carry around a large music collection. Holy S__tballs Batman! I now have a portable device that plays vinyl rips at 24-192 (as well as records it). I can carry around .5Tb and listen through high impedance high phones. Now........I have got a device that does all that AND transmits LDAC audio!

All I need is a bigger battery and a brand new screen and this phone could last me years. I do plan on upgrading to a Oneplus though.
This is a wonderfully easy phone to work on. It's very modular. I had replaced the headphone jack, last year, without issue. The screen and inner frame just slotted in without an issue. I'm rocking the 6600 battery and rubber frame with NFC cut out. This thing is a Beast ever without rooting. I just tried some 150 ohm VE AOE's and rocked my world with the Stones "Fancy Man Blues" 24/192.
