Hello, I am running latest OOS Beta and Google Dialer 8.0.14xx.
For some reason, when I get a call and it shows up on top of the screen, I can't answer it by tapping the button but have to tap on the notification and answer through the in-call UI by sliding up.
Anyone with the same problem?

I've got the same problem over here, only that I use a custom dialer... But otherwise the same. Did you manage to shove the issue?

I've got the same issue - very annoying! Google Dialer 9.0.154771926 and OP3_02_Open_18.
Any newer working Google dialers?

Hi,
I updated the Samsung firmware/software (or whatever it's called) today from 4.1.2 to 4.2.2 Kernel 3.0.31-2212686.
I have noticed a couple of niggling little differences in the operation of my phone and am wondering how to change these back to the way they were BEFORE I updated.
1) When typing my PIN code on the lock screen, the phone vibrates. It never used to. How do I change it back?
2) When I receive a text message, I now get a preview of the message on my lock screen. I never used to get those either. How do I change it back?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Go to Settings and disable Vibrate on touch.
To remove previewing message, go to settings from inbox and by the end you can uncheck preview messages,

Hi DMJoh, and thanks for your input.
I did finally find the setting to undo the preview messages, so ... YES!! Thanks for that! Much appreciated.
Unfortunately, I'm not finding the Vibrate on Touch setting. The update seems to have changed about all my settings and put them into four categories: Connections, My Device, Accounts, ...More, with subcategories under each main category.
I cannot find the Vibrate on Touch setting anywhere. I even looked under My Device/Lock Screen as I thought the settings would be there what with all the vibrating happening on the lock screen, but it is not there, either.
Any ideas? Thanks

Actually, what you mentioned is your phone vibrates when you touch keypad for entering PIN code to unlock right, actually this is not happenong with me.i tried it in an older 4.2.2, if u are on the latest B1 update, i am not sure how it works, i reverted back from B1 as its almost stuck all the time in my phone, if its okay with you try a factory reset, but am not sure this will solve your problem.
I personally don't like lock-screen notifications and hence I disabled it in lollipop. However, it has a weird side effect, now it wouldn't show any incoming call screen when the screen in locked. Instead, it rings, I have to unlock the screen, click on a small call window to know who is calling or to answer the call. Not sure if this is G3 specific implementation or true with all the lollipops - in either case it's very stupid though technically correct.

yes.....i off the screen and waited for 5 secs before i start making call to my g3. you might need to do a factory reset and see if it will help to rectify the notification issue. i am on v20f AndroidNow 8.0....but i did a full reset when i loaded this OS.

Thanks a lot, maybe this is a stock rom issue then.
can anyone running stock lollipop try and comment on this?
Has anyone had this issue with the keyboards where some of the keys dont line up and press another letter or just dont press at all?
This only happens when I use Textra and Whatsapp for some reason.
I have tried Fleksy, Swifykey, Touchpal, Google keyboard and the list goes on. I am trying to figure out what is causing this issue and done a screen touch test which works fine. Some help from the experts here would be appreciated.
Without the ability to use these 2 apps, my phone is pretty much a brick as I cant type a full sentence without the keyboard playing up

Thanks for your input here. I wonder what's causing the issue on all keyboards then. Should I send it back to HTC?
I don't understand what do you mean.
If this issue appears often or all the time then you should be able to record your screen video.
What do you mean record my screen video?

Use some screen recorder app to record all you actions with the phone screen, better if you can enable touches (glove mode).

lol, I said to enable glove mode while recording video, if you can upload a video, then we could take a step further to analyse the problem.

You can use textdroid, however if you haven't already done that then I'm assuming it isn't the problem.
Hi all,
I've been using Lineage OS 17.1 on my Galaxy Note 4 for a couple of weeks, and it's working almost perfectly, like having a new phone. The one thing I don't seem to be able to do is mute SMS notifications. In the Messaging app, under Settings, there is a button saying "Show notifications", but it's greyed out and I can't slide it off. Can anyone tell me how to enable this switch?
(I note that even when I set the phone to Total Silence, SMS notifications still come up on the lock screen, which I really don't want - I get way too many texts and I don't want them cluttering up the notifications area.)
Thanks

Thanks, that's an interesting idea. I'm curious to know why the default app has a slider though - it seems like someone designed it to be an option, so presumably there is a way to slide it off. Anyone know?

The default aosp apps have not really been updated for many years now. In the meantime much has changed in permission and notification handling of android.

Just swipe away. I keep getting these notifications as well when I use Assistant features like Hold for me, etc. I didn't find a way to prevent them.
You should be able to hold it and then the option to remove the notification should come up

Yeah that I knew but I want them to stop. It's ridiculous and annoying that I have to do that after every call. Thanks for relying.

See screenshots. Can't modify those notifications per Google lol
I literally came just came here to ask the same thing. They are annoying and can't be stopped because you disable any phone notifications.

It's BS imo.
I think this is it. Google assistant_General_Notifications_View All Phone Notification types_Feedback see screenshots.
Sorry about the out of order screenshots. Tried few times to sort it correctly but no dice.
Edit: Nope....that didn't work. BS
