I installed what I believe to be a stock firmware manually and it's described https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/help/installing-stock-rom-twrp-2-8-5-0-t807p-t3513896 . One thing I have noticed is that I lose my wifi password on every next connection. This is extremely annoying since I have to re-enter it manually. After searching I found old references to this which suggest some fixes: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/help/wifi-password-loss-t2881395 .
But I find it strange the stock ROM would contain this bug. Is the ROM I'm using a stock ROM or should I be worried regarding this? Furthermore anybody know the best fix? I'm not sure regarding a root for my device, and if I can edit the build.prop mentioned earlier.
Bump. Issue still exists. Anyone else have this issue?
I got the 807p. no issues here. what I did was install stock 6.0. then rooted using the method found here.

Hello ppl
I just bought my nexus a week back and i have this problem, i cant download a thing, not from the net, or playstore or even attachments when i am on 3g. When on wifi i can download everything but wifi is not available everywhere
Somebody give me a solution.
I have tried wiping, rooting, hard resets, everything
Sounds like a setting is wrong in your apn configuration, or something is wrong on your providers side. Call them and verify your data plan with your current phone. If that checks okay, You may need to tweak or change your APNs to tweak it.
http://nxwiki.blogspot.com/2012/02/vodafone-uk-apn-settings-for-android.html#.UFIPmI38u_w
the config is ok
i can surf the net and everything and the providers tell me that if i can surf then the problem will not be from their side
What else can i try?
If you are getting the "download unsuccessful" message there is only one solution I have found: AOKP. On all stock versions and a few other ROMs i tried the problem persists, clearing data from the "download" apps never worked for me like some people suggested. I'm sure there are other ROMs that aren't having the problem, but AOKP is the only one I have used that doesn't have the download unsuccessful error.
Check your data usage settings. The only box that should be checked it auto sync.
i dont know where it is right now, but i'm pretty sure i've seen the solution for this somewhere in the forums.
also, the solution is not AOKP; i'm on JRO03L built from src and i do not have the issue.

I asked on the Verizon G3 forum section and no one seems to have the issue. I am wondering if anyone else has the issue mentioned below.
I have tried few different 3rd party vpn programs and they all yields the same result, always disconnects after 30 seconds or so, especially when data is being used.
I read that could be Verizon, phone specifics, openvpn, vpn program, and or android kitkat.
I had the issue on stock root rom (4.4.2) and modified stock roms.
Is there any way to fix this?
ok I am bumping an old thread but I couldnt find anywhere the solution. I have the exact issue with my G3 with 5.0 stock rom.
any idea for a fix?
I am using LG G4 US991 in Canada. It is unlocked and i am using it over Fido. With Android 5.1 I had no issue, everything was working smooth. Then i got the marshmallow updated and I had following three issues
1. Mobile data plan isn't working .... I used this link to configure the APN http://www.fido.ca/consumer/content/configure-unlocked-device-guide but no success. I factory reset the phone, restarted and tried whatever i could but still same problem ... Is it a known issue ? Is there a fix ?
the other 2 issues aren't that important as of now. Heating up and battery drain. I can live with those as long as my data starts to work.
P.S: The wifi is working with no issue.
Having this same issue but no luck in finding the procedure how to downgrade back to lollipop. My software version US991120c and it is a US cellular phone.

I am also having the same issue. Only wifi works, but no data connection.
Any news with this issue?
still no data connection for me.
Same issue for me, any known solution?
i am in italy & using us991 ... i also update to Marshmallow & facing same problem.. i try many things but no luck.. i think we have to wait for root this version first then problem may be solved ..... & try to downgrade can hard brick this phone .........
Did you fix this problem?
I just go the Marshmallow update and now my data is no longer working.
APN seems fine...
Hey
I'm in that same situation but I'm with Rogers. I did a factory reset, ttriple checked my APN, tried non LTE APNs, no luck.
Everything worked before the MM update.
Did you find a fix??
same issue. is there any way to downgrade?
I had the same problem on Sprint after taking the OTA. Here's what worked for me:
Connect to wifi
Go to system settings> system update
Tap each of the categories and wait to receive a pop-up saying it's completed before tapping the next one.( update PrL, update profile, etc) after each one is updated. Reboot and toggle wifi off. Mobile data should return. Again this worked for me on Sprint, I tried apns and reset to factory and nothing worked till I tried this simple approach. I am all stock, never rooted or forced an OTA. Let me know if it works or not for you
i'v found the solution.
here is a link for fix

Hi
So, I have a problem and was wondering if anyone can give me some advice.
After rooting with Kingroot my Z1C cannot connect to 2.5ghz access points because of an authentication issue. It will connect to 5ghz but that will also occasionally drop out.
I have tried flashing back to stock and doing a repair of the phone, resetting TA and locking bootloader.. flashing all manner of roms and wiping system, use data, etc. The problem persists.
I think Kingroot must have messed with an obscure part of the phones system partitions and messed up some wifi data. does anyone have advise on how I can trouble shoot this?
Regards and Thank
Okay fixed, so anyone else who wants to root with king root, doing 1 of these three things has fixed the problem,
1. delete /supersu from within twrp
2. run fix selinus permissions from within twrp (->advenaced->fix contexts)
3. repair file system for /system
I'm still having issues so cannot recomend kingroot untill solved
I just rooted using KingRoot for PC.
My Z1C is otherwise untouched.
I have yet had no issues connecting to my 2.4GHz WiFi.
me too. Dont think KR has anything to do w/ this issue... used it and connected to several Ghz different AP.
First of all thanks a lot for replying. Perhaps it was the 'optimization' app that also installed with KR. Silly me for running it.
I was wondering if anyone would be willing to look at a logcat for me? I cannot find out the problem. Perhaps its related to selinux, kernel or wlan firmware since I can temporarily connect to 2.4ghz when I run "fix contexts" in trwp.
I'm going to experiment with kernals and selinux to see if I can get any improvement.
Hello guys!
I have weird problem!
I got broken OP3 A3003 (64gb model) and repaired it. It works perfectly but there is just one annoying fault that i cant seem to find answer to. The WiFi will not reconnect to saved hotspots after i toggle it off and back on again. Everytime i must give the password again and again. after i connect it works perfectly an no hiccups at all. just the reconnecting not working. I can see the saved network in the list but deleting it does not work. I havent yet rooted, im on latest stock and the bootloader is locked. Tried factory reset but same problem occurs.
Searching web and Oneplus forums pointed that there is couple others having same problems but no solution from anyone.
Do anyone have had any of this kind of problem and how did you solve it?
I like Oxygen OS itself but rooting is a must! after i can give logs or stuff if needed!
Update to latest oxygen os or open beta, if updating won't fix your problem then perform a factory reset.
Like I said I tried factory reset but did not help unfortunately I updated to open beta 38 last night but did not help either. 'm gonna try open bootloader and flash the firmware again completely and see.
