Hello guys. Yes, I know that this questions was discussed on other threads, but I can figure out how to start tasker with my android unit. I tried third party apps to initiate, but failed.
The tasker should run a task to initiate the Spotify, and input an tap in the screen. The task run perfectly when pushed manual, but the tasker do not initiate the task.
Can someone help me? Thanks

If it is a Joying Intel unit you could try the "no-kill" Sofia-1-C9-Server-V1.0.apk from gustden. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72102580&postcount=87
This will keep tasker from being killed when the car is turned off.
[SOLVED] with root to start tasker on boot Oukitel K9
Tasker is a great app but kept getting killed after boot and I have tried every else's solutions and still didn't work. After "allow" every setting, like battery optimize=no plus device admin still would not stick. Tried usage stats and accessibility options within tasker. Nothing seemed to work. Solution; In Magisk install systemize. Systemize save to priv system directory, reboot. Now the app will start always on every reboot.

Hi people, I am using a speedcam app which loads at start with Autorun Autostart and goes back to homescreen.
Now when the HU goes in sleep mode the speedcam app gets closed and wont load on wake up. Is there a way to make it happen with tasker?
I am on latest Malaysk rom at a RK3066 800x480, got paid version of tasker.
Use Xposed-MTC-Managers whitelist to keep the app from going to sleep

Thanks for putting me to right direction, greatly appreciated, it is done and tested, working like charm. :good:
Now I need some more reading I guess, after two years not reading here about this unit I have to gather more information. Everything is like I wanted, just need to figure out how to start playing music with poweramp after wake up.

There is a Tasker profile for Monitor Start, but you can't add Tasker to the no sleep whitelist. It used to work great for me but broke it the other day, while changing a bunch up.
This post talks about pausing media when the unit goes into sleep

I'm bad at documentation, should be clear if your used to Tasker. Let me know if you need further details.

I am familiar with tasker, using at 4 devices at home for home automation and some other stuff. I don't have it on the HU to be honest, but use it on my phone to activate Hotspot on my phone when my phone connects to HU.
If we can capture an event it should be pretty easy to setup, I need to observe what the HU does when it wakes up to see if I can see something useful. Unfortunately I had a surgery last week and I am not allowed to sit longer than 10 minutes so have to wait couple weeks.

Found a way to start playing music with tasker at Poweramp when the head unit wakes up, it is not the cleanest or best way I guess but it does the job.
Like I said before, I have tasker on my phone and that makes possible to turn on mobile hotspot when my phone connects to my head unit. I am telling this because I am using this WIFI connection on my head units tasker to activate Poweramp music play.
On the head unit I have installed the tasker and put it in the whitelist of MTC Manager.
First I tried to make profile: [State ]> [Net]>[BT Connected] but this did not work because tasker could not get to BT devices list, and leaving empty should work but that did not work either .
So I made another profile: [State ]> [Net]>[WIFI Connected]---- [SSID: Chose your mobile hotspot] (you can leave the other options empty)
Then I made task: [Media]>[Media Control]----[Cmd: Play [Simulated Only]] [App: Choose Power Amp] (leave the other options empty)
This works good but you have to turn off option “Play music on device boot” in Head Unit app, this is needed because tasker simulates the play button of Poweramp and that makes the music paused after first boot, Head Unit app starts the music and couple seconds later if the WIFI connection established tasker will pause the music.
The downside of this workaround is when you first boot the device it takes a while before music starts playing since tasker starts pretty later than most other apps in the head unit.
The best way to get this work is finding an event or state or even action from head unit which only occurs when the head unit wakes up.

Thanks for headsup
Today I was trying the original MTCmusic app since there was a lot improvements done, I like it so far it integrates a lot better with screen saver and other stuff so I will give it a go for couple days, if i don’t like it I will go back to poweramp.
But I am glad that you found out what’s getting broadcast when the radio wakes up because I (or other forum users) can use it on other stuff too.

Thx. I managed to set command before sleep but after wake up doesn't work for me. I'm on PX5. How to see debug informations?
Hey guys. So I have a op3 with stock and rooted. I wanted to implement silencing my phone automatically at a certain time and hence was trying out a few taskeresque apps as I find tasker difficult.
So in short I tried automagic, automateit and macrodroid. I tested all three and found the best to be MacroDroid. I set up a few flows and now I realise that at 10.30 everyday in the night my phone automatically changes to vibrate mode.
I remember testing this with some app but I uninstalled all the apps except MacroDroid which does not have this automation. Now I reinstalled the other two apps and could not find any triggers for vibrate.
Any idea how I can find out what is causing this vibrate mode.
Apologies for the long story. Thanks a ton guys.
You could try and look if there are still folders with the app name in your system
Found the issue. I had set this automation through IFTTT. Silly me. Thanks guys
Hello, Just purchased WITSON PX5 4GB android 10, vesion MCU: MTCE_MX2_V3.56, so far its pretty good, only issue I'm having is the following:
I use the apps that uses the accessibility permision to to change the screen brightness, but currently every time I turn off the car, the head unit goes into power saving mode, when it resumes, all my apps losses the accessibility permission, is anoyne else having this issue or a fix for it?
any idea?

This is a shortcoming of the HUs, why don't they bother to persist the accessibility services. The solution I use is once rooted install Tasker and Secure Settings. Then add a task to enable services as required, on a suitable event like Screen On. I still have a problem with a disabled service sometimes on cold boot; it usually works great on wakeup. Hope this helps.
I have a OnePlus 7 pro phone, with Android 10, and my car is has an XTRONS head unit running the Malaysk rom with Android 9.
Does anyone know how to disable android auto from starting every time I connect via Bluetooth? None of the posts (solutions) online work, or are even available for me to try (menus aren't there, etc.).
Help?!
how did you even get it to work via bluetooth to start with!
Great question! I didn't do anything specifically to enable it. But every time I Bluetooth connect to my head unit, it starts Android Auto on my phone. DRIVING ME NUTS.
Is this a OnePlus-specific feature?
In XTRONS the Android Auto is called MultiPlay. There is a way to disable MultiPlay. settings -- car -- Factory settings(126) -- other -- car play --Choose "no"--apply-- Exit -> reboot by holding rst hardware button for 10s.

Its still not Android auto...
Are you sure that Android Auto is starting? My Xiaomi Mi 10T only starts some kind of a welcome message "Android Auto is available in this car, do you want to connect?" when I am linked to the bluetooth...

Ok, could be, but in my Xtrons headunit it's acting like Android Auto though it's called MultiPlay, and working fine. Android Auto, as an app is not visible in the app-overview. Why should that be this way?
@Klussenpunt - Thanks for the insight! I found the setting under Factory Settings, and turned it off, but my phone still does the same thing. I have taken these (extreme) measures with no luck:
Disabled the factory setting (as you pointed out)
Unpaired my phone and deleted it from the head unit
Booted my Android head unit into recovery, wiped EVERYTHING and restarted
Verified that the factory setting is still set to No/Off
Re-paired my phone
I still get Android Auto launched on my phone when I connect. UGH.
Does anyone have any other thoughts on why this keeps happening?

Have you tried removing the cache and memory from the Android Auto app in your phone, after that you can disable Android Auto making contact with new Android Auto requests.
@Klussenpunt - That idea (removing cache/memory) was what got me to my final answer. It dawned on me that if I could find the "app" in my android settings (because Android Auto doesn't show as a normal app, it is hidden) then I could disable it.
Sure enough, I was able to get to the list of apps and services installed, found it, and did two things:
Removed all cache and storage
Disabled the service
Boom! Now when my phone connects via bluetooth, the Android Auto mode does not start up.
Thanks soooo much!

On my Samsung Note 9, the app is just listed as Android Auto in the normal apps. Depending on your device, you may have to check the option to view all system apps in order to see and disable it?
Ok, this will be a guide how to turn on GPS with the screen locked, without rooting the device.
Short story, just go down to the numbered section.
As I got my self a new car with android auto (through cable) but no built in GPS, I was interested in getting the phone to turn on the GPS automatically when I steped in to the car. I have serached a lot and only found that it wasn't possible due to security reasons. I meen if I have android auto I don't want to fibble with the gps-settings every time I'm in the car, and I don't wan't it on otherwise to save battery. When I got my self an Galaxy S20 FE last week I tried out everything in the built in systems as I thought that if it would be possible it would be with a built in system to pass the security demanded by Android/Google.
I know you can do it rooting the phone, but as I use it for security apps that will stop working if I do that, it wasn't an opption.
And yesterday I found the way, using the built in Bixby Routines. It might be possible with other Samsung Galaxy models as well with Bixby, haven't tried.
1. Go into Bixby App (there is two ways getting into Bixby, through the app and through phone settings, but you do different things depending on how you enter).
2. Go to settings
3. Turn on "Use while phone locked"
4. Go out of the App
5. Go into the phone settings
6. Go into "Advanced features"
7. Turn on "Bixby Routines"
8. Go into the submeny "Bixby Routines"
For me, I wanted the GPS to turn on when the phone automatically connected to the cars Android Auto system through bluetooth, so that is the routine I will describe here.
9. Set up a new routine with the "IF-section" defined to "Connected to the Cars bluetooth
10. Define the "Then-section" to Location-On
11. Don't do any changes to "When routine ends". That will reverse the Location to off when the phone disconnects from the car.
12. Click next end name your routine end click Done.
Some times, especially when I connect the phone to the usb-cable from the car before the phone has connected to the bluetooth system, the routine doesn't execute. Time will tell if it will happened a lot. Of course you should be able to switch the IF statement to anything that fits you.
go paste this into other forums too. (I don't even drive, but I like helpfulness)

Off memory, only for certain permissions requiring root. For what you want to do I don’t think its root required.
