Hi all,
Yes, we all know. Every month somebody is answer this question.
But also every week/month there is a new rom, custom build etc. etc.
So my question friends.
With rom is stable, smooth and bat. friendly?
Or what do you guys have? Thanks
RR Official + ElementalX + AKT

Freedom OS 2.8, bluspark kernel. wih 4g heavy usage, giving me 4-5hrs SOT constantly. and in wifi/light usage , 7-8hrs SOT always. Loving the current setup.
Pheonix AEX by itself... has a great kernel and easily gotten 9+ SoT in the last two battery cycles. Has all the customization you'll ever need built in and has the best OOS camera port. Just give it a try, it wont disappoint.

VertexOS! Is has Voxpopuli and EAS. It's simple and runs really really smooth... One of the Smoothest roms out there with decent battery life!
Phoenix AEX

Thanks guys. I will try Vertex Now, I have EAX Phoenix, but it's a bit laggy...
I gonna try Pure Nexus when it's stable enough. (I see posts about lags).

Well, reduced small cluster max freq by one step. Rest all as it is. Agressive doze is OFF. Somehow feels that keeping it ON drains more. /Contradicting/
Tried naptime initially, but with and without it, the duration is more or less the same.
I am also looking for a great ROM.
Is official Resurrection Remix the "best"? It has all features of the other ROMs?? Good battery life and stable??
Official kernel?
Or are there better ROMs or kernels and if yes, which are the advantages?

I personally don't know, why to use a Oxygen OS based ROM? I think, it has no features and not much customization and nothing great? Or am I wrong?
xXx no limits rom with bluspark kernel is a beast. Camera is my priority especially video recording and no other rom could suffice that. Very stable ofcourse.
Rom has inbuilt performance tweaks and is super snappy. Ofcouse I tried plenty other roms especially for camera, sulan's rom phoenix aex rom and many more , they manage to take good photos almost as good as OOS but none of them could match video recording smoothness of OOS especially in 1080p 60fps. Tried and tested a lot. And with my usage I easily get around 6 to 7 hours of sot with excellent performance.

Hello Guys!
Like title i am asking you which rom for Oneplus 3 is better (Nougat 7.1.1)? I would like to find a rom without call echo but with good battery and performance.
Thanks for all answers and peace
AOSIP/AOSCP have really good battery but have really bad camera
You also can read the AKT topic. Then there are several kernel tweaks for battery performance. With a lot of using YouTube, surfing on internet, and some game apps (most likely chess and checkers) I get a screen on time for about 7hours. And then still got 5 to 20% over before I charge it again.

Vertex OS + Render kernal T19 (look in his thread). Mainly because I runs EAS (Energy aware scheduling). It is smooth as butter while maintaining max efficiency.
If you are looking for customization plus battery go with any resurrection remix rom and then install akt app and use profile fairpark... You will get around 8hr sot... Telling from experience
What's the main differences between 7.0 and 7.1?
I'm using AICP and its great! 5h SoT with some games and a lot of Telegram, Whatsapp, Twitter.... and still having 13%
5h SoT on 14h switched on

You can see this in this link.
https://www.google.si/amp/www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/google-android-nougat-7-1/amp/?client=ms-unknown
prefer OOS w/ mods over Lineage/RR due to camera performance/quality
There is nothing as the best/ better ROMs. They are more like user preference and opinion, one may agree with them some other won't. So the best way is to try all of these ROMs yourself, test it according to your needs. Who knows you may like the one which no one mentioned? I think you could use the time you have spent to create a thread and test them yourself.

I like Vertex OS + Render EAS kernal! Most efficient combination that is possible so far due to EAS! It's smooth as butter aswell!

I didnt mention it really, or it wasn't bother me. There is also a battery extreme profile and with that profile I has some legs. But with the one in the post above it was quite good with the battery life and performance.
Post it own opinion
so for the usual "this month's" question...i suggest freedom ce and experience os. tho each of them have their own quirk, but it's stable. maybe the issues's with me, but some custom rom really have some daily usage/stability problem like dialer app crashing or alarm not ringing while they list the rom as "bugs free". obviously i have not tried all the roms or done extensive performance testing on them, so this is just my opinion.

I personally don't use OOS since ages because of the terrible android system drain I got back then. Not sure how it is now but I basically fell in love with VertexOS. VertexOS has been the stablest rom I have tried. Even the Testbuilds on the Slack channel are really stable. The dev definitely knows what he is doing and is putting blood sweat and tears into optimizing the rom. if you are looking for a stable minimalistic rom, with great peformance and decent battery life Vertex is the way to go.
You can basically never go wrong with a Sultan rom
I sugest Sultans Nougat build(if you want theming through Substratum use Matssas builds, for me it was just as stable). Other then that AOSPA, although I sugest you wait for the next build since high idle drain is a known issue.
Both Sultan and AOSPA is known for high quality camera by custom rom standard.
Phoenix aex is the best right now. Best performance and battery life without any modifications
Go with ...Phoenix AOSP ?
Yep, Phoenix AES.
Sultanxda lineage OS is working perfectly.
Have tried RR, Phoenix, Freedom and a couple of more.. Loved all of them to be honest.. But felt experience lite was the best of them..
Yup.. Just a personal opinion..
try Paranoid Android, tons of features, great battery life and (ALMOST) bug free and stable, but keep in mind that OxygenOS or OxygenOS based roms have the most stability ...
Using freedom os + bluspark kernel + akt hawkpepper! Moderate use but too much of voice and duo calls! This combo is perfect one
And full day wifi on! Plus when not using wifi, 4G was on!
I've personally been using vertex for a few weeks now with a gapp prop tailored just to my liking for adding in just stuff I want and debloating of things I never use to clear up wasted space and absolutely love the current setup. Minimal, battery friendly, and zero issues with stability.

This are two completly diffrent ROM's so there are many differences in both.
Jaguar will recive updates in the future and the dev will continue to work on with Nougat for a few months atleast.
The Viper OS ROM already had its last nougat update, which iirc still contains some bugs.
Viper is based on Lineage using the Heliox Kernel and Jaguar is based on AOSP while using its own Kernel.
You need to check which ROM fits YOUR needs and decide which one you are going to use.

The ROM is quite smooth however I always face heating issues when doing some heavy tasks and battery life is not that good for me. I use gapps.

Go for jaguar then, it has the best performance i've seen (it's overclocked by default and works very well with it, besides boost framework) and it's very stable. I can't tell you about battery life, but most of the people say it's good. And the dev is very active and gives a lot of support, and won't stop developing it afaik.
This is just my personal opinion, you should try for yourself and take your conclusions.

VIPER for simplicity and long battery life. Personally will suggest Viper
I am currently using viper and used jaguar before. Personally i feel VIPER is lot better in the battery section, simplicity and overall performance.
It's stable and smooth.
Viper OS is Goood
Viper OS has good battery life and Performance.
It also has a lot of customizations.
It doesn't lag at all. I didn't benchmarked it but , I am playing Shadow fight 3 at high graphics very smoothly.
And for battery , I am getting around 6-7hrs of Screen on time.

Hey guys
I previously owned a Redmi Note 3 and flashed so many roms on that phone.
Now i just got a Redmi Note 5 Pro. Unlocked it. But currently I am very busy with assignments and don't have a lot of time.
So i can't keep flashing rom every few days.
Please recommend me a good Oreo rom. It should ideally not lag and have no random reboots. Basically I just want to flash and forget for a few months until Pie roms get very stable.
Thanks to all for their help.

Bro listen! Lineage os is most widely used custom rom in the world. Your device has official lineage os 15.1. So you should flash it & see if you're happy with it. Only customizations not present in los. After that you can try any other rom you want.

"Bro listen" - This does not sound like suggestion, rather like a command. What is good for you does not really mean that it will be for someone else. For example, on devices I have used, RN5 included, pure AOSP roms performed better than Cyanogenmod/LineageOS ones. They have been smoother and better in battery life.
Just because something is official it doesn't translate to a better than everything else, MIUI is an official rom from Xiaomi yet some releases were a bug fest.
I've tried LOS/RR and than jumped to AOSiP Oreo, that's close to pure AOSP but with additional useful features and it has been more stable, smoother and more battery friendly than LOS/RR and overall performance was consistent. In combination with Insigniux/Derp kernel it's great.
I've seen reports of MSM as great one as well, so that can be considered as well.
Anyway you'll have to try different rom and kernel combinations to see what works for you.

Exactly.
Although I can understand why some newer members are just dazzled by the "official" tag especially in context of LOS.
I especially dislike LOS because of lack of so many useful features. Why should I need to use xposed and 10 modules to get those features when I have root and recovery and I can simply flash a feature rich aosp rom.

Ok. I apologise if i gave someone wrong suggestion. But i was telling from my experience as for me los official always works great with no single bug till now. No need to apologise to me, since your post wasn't directed to me. You didn't suggest anything wrong, but the way you suggested it was a bit wrong. Anyway, AOSiP is a clean rom with good features and a default Derp kernel is great for battery life, I have had up to 14h of SOT (that depends on usage of course) but as far as I remember it was never below 10h.

DotOS(current), PE, Arrow and Miui.eu imo Dot performs best overall. For camera I have GCam (Urynx port) and its amazing. Just waiting for LineageOS or Paranoid Android to release for this device. TBH, all of these are equally good for daily use, it's just that I prefer the UI of Dot and it's a bit better in terms of gaming performance.
Pixel Experience with PE Recovery and using BSG Gcam version 8.1.101.
Getting near 2 days on a full charge, with over 5 hours SoT.
Way better and smoother than stock and I haven't had any weird overheating or reboots since installing. (Happened a bunch with stock ROM!)
Haven't tried other roms to compare because it's too much effort...
I have tried almost all the roms, and so far almost all of them runs fine.
