Convert phone to removable battery - Verizon Note 7 Questions & Answers

I seen a video of a guy who built an iPhone from parts he bought in China. Is it possible to convert a phone with internal battery to a removable battery? Also is it possible to upgrade processor and ram?

need battery and extarnal battery advice

right now i'm with my stock samsung 1650mah bat but i need more power.
the samsung 2000mah is great option but it aint cheap (and the CM though is small problem for it)
so i look for other bat's... right now i'm thinking about the anker 1900 read few threads that i found:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1249464
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1273125
it's a "known battery" and it's cheap.
also i also need an external battery (solar is optional) because i do have some days that i dont have anywhere to plug in the phone.
also, looking for something "cheap" (or just not too expensive) found this on DX
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/solar-...le-battery-pack-with-cellphone-adapters-30047
can't go too wrong for 16$ but i want to know if there is something better, like http://cgi.ebay.com/Anker-External-Battery-f-HTC-T-mobile-Sensation-3200mAh-/320728485119
any advice will be welcomed
I have a few Sanyo 2500mAh batteries (model number KBC-L3AS) if you're interested. $15ea plus shipping, let me know if you're interested. Good thing about Sanyo is you can be safe knowing its QC is fine, whereas cheap Chinese batteries may have problems, or false inflated mAh numbers.
As for internal batt, I bought the Korean version of the 2000mAh battery, and it's a real champ. If you can afford it, I really recommend getting the Samsung extended battery. It actually gives more than ~20% increase due to lower internal resistance. Of course, try and get the international version, not the Korean one since the back cover doesn't fit well.
Any other ideas?

[Q] jubatec batteries?

Hey guys!
Im just wondering if you guys have any experience with this "jubatec battery" from germany. It has 3400mah, as opposed to the 3100mah in the original.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/JuBaTec-Bat...-2-EB595675-Screen-Protector-X4-/181325412941
Id like a better battery, but nothing the size of the zero lemon, as that's too humongous for me. There are a few others on ebay but no way in helli0 im buying random chinese ones. The thing im confused is...the jubatec is the same size as the original, but has 300 extra mah.
Any opinions?
Cheers
I have ten extra note2 battery and 3 external charger.
Fyi, beside the zero lemon, other brand of chinese battery maker claim they hv 5000mah++ ...6000mah in same ori battery size was totally fake.
Im rather buy the ori samsung or the well known reliable branded battery maker such as *pisen* as my backup battery.
This china pisen brand only claim 3100mah capacity but perform well than ori samsung brand even after 8 months.
(Dont wonder why I need so many of extra battery, coz I hv 2 note2 devices.)

[Q] New battery Maguro: where are we at?

Hi all,
I've been looking around for a new phone for about a month now, with one main goal: to get a better battery life than my Samsung Galaxy Nexus (maguro) provides. I would really love to find a phone that I would not have to charge every day, like in the good old days of my Nokia 3210! The screen could be a bit bigger, but thats a secundary goal....
I am finding it very, very hard to make a choice. Of course there are phones out there that can give me more power (and bigger), like the Lenovo K920, the Huawei Ascend Mate7 or the Sony Xperia Z3, but they also cost around 400 euro's. I understand these prices, because these phones also give you a bigger screen, with more pixels, a better camera, more RAM and ROM and a faster processor etc. But actually, at the moment, I don't really need all of that. I am content with the size of my gnex, I use it to browse, whatsapp and occasionally to stream something to my tv. I don't play big games or use a lot of social media. And thanks to FML, I can almost get a stock version of Lollipop on my gnex, which is nice.
Can't I just buy a bigger battery and be done with it for a while, make it last another 6 months? I still have the stock 1750 mAh battery in my gnex it came with, there must be something better available?
I have 3 questions:
1) what is the best battery replacement at the moment that fits inside the original gnex backdoor?
2) what are my options if I am willing to settle for a backdoor that is a bit bigger?
3) are there any smartphones out there that focus solely on battery life? I haven't found them, but there surely must be a market for a smartphone that has a great battery life, and a decent (average) camera, screenquality, processor etc?
To solve my gnex battery issues I simply bought 2 replaceable batteries and a battery charger. At the time this cost me about $12 off ebay. This works best for me as then I never have to actually charge my phone with a micro usb charger (arguably the micro usb port is the weakest and most likely part of a gnex to break) and can just charge the batteries separately; leaving my phone mobile and not stuck to a wall for hours at a time. When I go out I put a spare charged battery in my wallet to swap it out when my battery runs low. It's also great when travelling as places to charge a phone are more limited but having a separate charger means you can use a sneaky power port without leaving your phone.
I haven't looked into getting a larger or 'better' battery personally, however one of my friends bought one that required a fatter backing case (at the time the biggest battery for gnex) and he said that could last him the whole day but meant he couldn't use any of the gnexus cases.
Quick note about gnexus batteries: The NFC chip for a galaxy nexus is built into the battery (don't ask me why), if your buying a cheap battery it will most likely not have NFC unless it's an official samsung gnexus battery from samsung. Not sure how much this effects you, I personally don't use NFC let alone find it important enough to warrant an extra $30 per battery.

thank you for your extensive reaction, but alas: I've retired my great gnex. My micro USB port did cave in, and I could only charge putting the phone in an upright position. I could have used it fine, but I got the chance to get a Huawei Ascend Mate 7 cheap, and it is holding it's own so far: 3 days and 3 hours on one charge and still I have 13% left!

Any high capacity 3rd party batteries for the Tab 8.4?

Hi all
Just wondering if there is a higher capacity battery for the 8.4?
I know a lot have problems with battery life and extra juice would be good also
Thx
Batteries have real physical limits if they're going to be their real, stated capacity. There's no magic technology that makes a battery higher capacity while still being the same space. That's why phone batteries that really have higher capacities need extended cases. Since you can't do that with a tablet, you can't have any real high capacity battery.
So you're left with powerbanks/external battery packs. They do work well but be sure to get a name brand like Anker or Aukey if you want properly stated capacities. They make slim ones that should be about the size of the tablet if you want to hold it while it's charging instead of having a brick by your side.

5000mAh battery in the 5G version?

I've had my Mate 20x for coming up to 3 years now which is the longest I've ever owned a phone. I run my whole life and business from it and haven't found a reason to change other than storage so I bought a 5G version, only to find out it's a crippled version of the 4G that's been stripped of the top speaker, audio jack and most importantly, has a smaller 4200mAh battery. I could do with the extra storage the 5G has but the smaller battery is a deal breaker.
Will a 5000mAh from the original Mate 20 x fit in the 5g?
