[QUESTION] Confused about Chipset and Processor of Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus

I have a Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus which I bought about a month ago. According to info provided by Lenovo, this device has Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor, but as far as I can see in build.prop, it's got MSM8916 chipset.
But, MSM8916 is chipset of Snapdragon 410!!
How's that possible? Can Snapdragon 616 have MSM8916 chipset instead of MSM8939v2?? (which should be there actually)
Please clarify my confusion.

Be sure that the ROM/Software is in stock condition .... if yes then all is well..
..
if it is in custom or rooted condition(anyhow it can be unroot easily)..
then the MTK device can be FULLY(100% from nails to head) modify..

Where does MTK come in here? Its a snapdragon device and I'm on stock ROM (rooted now, but was unrooted when I wrote that post)

I think they used the same firmware as they used on the Lenovo Vibe K5 non-plus and they forgot to change this value on build.prop ,but if you check CPU-X it will show you the real cpu

any screenshot? is the bug fixed after recent update??

You can confirm your chipset in benchmark apps in PlayStore. Having MSM8916 in your build.prop doesn't mean anything. Lenovo uses AOSP codes built in system, and they can use codes from MSM8916 for MSM8929 (SD 415, Vibe K5 A6020a40) or MSM8939 (SD 616, Vibe K5 Plus A6020l35 or A6020a46), for example, even being different chipsets.

use CPUz to get more detailed hardware info as it based on hardware detection , forget about whats written in build.prob ,, it can be changed as they might flashed stock firmware of vibe k5 in vibe k5 plus ...

You are wrong. L36 has SD616. The one with SD415 is the A40.

Yes, I'm Brazillian, and have the Vibe K5 A6020a40 HW 039, and have CPU MSM8939 Snapdragon 615, with Clock Speed 1,7GHz quadcore Cortex A53 and 1,0 GHz quadcore Cortex A53. 2gb RAM, and 16gb storage.
Other variant from K5 (france with LATAM include).

Lineage OS support for Zuk Edge

I have read the LineageWiki and I can see that the Zuk Z1 is on the supported list, not so much for the Zuk Edge, so I am wondering if installing the Zuk Z1 lineage version would work or birck my phone. Has anyone tried it?

Android One ROM port for Zuk Z2 Plus

Hi All,
Just wanted to know, if it is possible to port Android One ROM of Mi A1 for our Zuk Z2.
I have seen in post stating that A1 ROM is ported to Redmi 4.
Just wondering if it can be done for Z2 also.

It can't be port to z2 plus as z2 plus is powered by snapdragon 820 and mi A1 is snapdragon 625

Duh..most custom ROMs already have all pixel features. Just flash AEX

If any multirom mod is available for zuk z2 plus.

Impossible in stock rom, zuk isn't a global smartphone.

Oh yes . Unofficial multirom is available and u can also try dual boot patcher.

I have XA2 plus, how i can install rom for XA2 on my XA2 plus??? I heard it's possible, because differnt only in RAM and Screen.
