[Q] some questions befor I root

Hi everybody,,
I am new here and I really need some answers before I root my phone.
I have xperi arc and I live in university campus,so I need to use proxy to open the internet.
what are the consequences of the rooting?
do I loose my warranty? do I loose the official update from SE? ( I have xperia arc), if yes then is there any way to update when rooted?
What I get more if I unlocked the bootloader?
if I unroot my phone , will it be exactly the same as before?
same questuon for the bootloader.

Well yes i searched ,, but i didn't expect to find a general subject in xperia forums
i googled it but nothing could answer mu questions exactly
maybe because of my English

Firstly,sorry if this is wrong forum, very sorry but i wasnt sure if this should go to QandA or General.
Now, I have an xperia play r800i with Orange and it's on 2.3.4 official and i wanted to root it but don't know how to.
I have read through some of the forums on rooting and the only thing i understand is that it can go right or it can go wrong.
So if someone could please like give me a maybe noobs guide to rotting my phone and if you can please add links and/or mention some cool stuff of rooting because all I know is that it makes your phone run better generally...

well im a noob at this too and i searched root tutorial on youtube and showed me everything superoneclick will root any phone from my understanding thats what i used on my r800at once u root and see how awesome it is and how easy it is u will fall in love with it

how to instal custom rom on unrooted neo l.

I am using unrooted Neo l working on ics.
I want to install MULTIBOOT XPERIA NXT R2 ROM on my neo l.
Please someone tell me all the steps to do the same.

Like you realised, you're in the wrong forum, but you can still repost your question in the right place
Please do some searching before you do anything. I've read a few of your posts and you don't seem to like to use Google to find things by yourself.
For that phone, think you'll need to unlock bootloader (you've asked about how to do it before), install a custom recovery, make a nandroid backup, then full wipe and flash the ROM. These are standard steps widely available
Instructions will also be in that particular ROM thread.
But like I said, please do some searching for guides as they are all there. The more you read, the more you learn, less chance of things going wrong again Best of luck.

hello im new to xda its first post i got few questions. what should i read and know about the ascend p6? couse i got it yesterday. i know few things about it: a locked boot loader ,not fully optimized firmware etc. what should i read know? before i had galaxy gio it was verry easy to root flash roms and stuff. with this im a bit afraid to do such things. what you people recomend? i want to learn more so my questions might not look very clear . sorry for my english.

Can anyone help me? i am like asking my friends here to help me i have n900t unrooted.. i want to flash
Android 5.0 N9005XXUGBNL8 for N900T on my phone. i need a step by step guide as i have the forum here has made me confused there are two to three solutions provided i just dont what to follow ... should i use odin or something else. Please help me guys here. ..... sorry for asking as this is my first time thanks.

You need to update your phone first to nk3 for bootloader and modem. This is all in the post under this sentence. Follow to the T and you should be good.
