HI,
can someone please help me. So i had a rooted zuk z2 with TWRP and the Citurus 7.1.1 ROM installed. but one of the one which i need to use daily does not let me use it if my phone has been rooted. So i went onto SuperSU and uninstalled root and rebooted and my device was now unrooted. But still the device says that because it had been rooted im not able to use it until i do a factory reset. So, i decided to go into settings and click on 'factory reset' . i press it and i thought everthing would install and i would open a fresh Citrus ROM with nothing installed and no root but the phone keeps going into recovery as if it cant open the ROM. So i stayed in recovery and wiped dalvik cashe and everything and tried restoring a back up i had made previously about a month ago of the ROM. it said that it had installed no errors or anything popped so i rebooted and it just keeps going to the recovery page. I even tried reinstalling the CITRUS ROM zip again which was still in my phone and i even ticked boot system after flash and it still sends me to the TWRP recovery page after showing the message saying this device cant be trusted. Can someone please help me resolve this issue? i just wanted to be able to reset the phone so i could use the app i needed to.
Go to TWRP>Wipe>Advanced>/then select system, data, cache and dalvik cache and swipe to wipe. Now flash rom (gapps optional).

I tried to root my wifi Note 10.1(wifi) using TWRP and the SuperSU flashable zip, but when wiping cache and Dalvik the tablet shut down. Now when I try to boot the device it only plays part of the boot sound and gets stuck on the "Samsung" logo. I've tried searching for ODIN flashable stock firmware, but with Hotfile being down(sammobile's file host) and the rest requiring a paid subscription to their site, I'm screwed.
I've tried using Kies' emergency recovery option, but it won't recognize the device as needing recovered. When I try to search for updates through Kies it tells me the model name is invalid(P600, SMP600, SM-P6000ZKYXAR, Galaxy Note 10.1 2014).
I can still boot into download mode and TWRP.(I REALLY should have made a backup first.)
All I need is the stock US(XAR) firmware, preferably ODIN flashable. I'm not sure if I trust TWRP to flash it just yet considering it crashed wiping dalvik, but if it's my only option I'm willing to try it.
I have seen somewhere that TWRP is a bit temperamental on our devices with wiping cache, and you sometimes have to do it twice, have you tried it the 2nd time ?? Use the advanced menu, wipe cache and reboot.

It took a long time to finish, but it successfully wiped the cache the second time and booted successfully! Thanks for the link by the way.
Hello everyone,
This is what is happening to me. I was trying to flash Miroslav's Cyanogenmod 11 RC2 with Philz Touch 6.07.9, but none of the recomended methods worked for me, I just got stuck on lg logo bootloop - I really want this rom but it is hard as f**k to flash -. So I tried to go back to CM 10.2.1 and got the "Status 7" error. Very frustrated, I finally used my stock recovery image and it worked fine.
From this point, i was recovering my apps and data using titanium back up and when it finished, a notification asked if I wanted the official system update. I refused it and proceded to reboot. Now the phone boots instantly to recovery mode and show the purple screen of Philz touch. First I wiped cache and dalvik and got the same bootloop. Then I wiped cache, dalvik and factory reset and got the same bootloop. Finally, I formated system, factory reset, wiped cache, wiped dalvik and flashed again my recovery image, and got again the recovery mode bootloop.
Any Ideas? Thank you for your help.
Best regards.
EDIT: I must clarify that when I flash my recovery image, it ALWAYS get suck on a part that says something like "installing android security". I have to press power button 10 seconds to restart but it boots normaly in the stock rom.

When in vain , unbrick your phone again using unbricking guide and use CWM , not all guide is working for the same type of phone . No need to wipe system clean cache watevr **** you were told unless recommended by developer and just factory reset then flash the rom

Thanks for the answer and the advice about factory reset. Yes, I had to unbrick my phone and by the way, still could not install miroslav's cm11 RC3 using Philz touch 6.19.3.
But I have another issue: I successfully got back to CM 10.2.1 but after I restored my apps using Titanium Backup, I rebooted the phone and got stuck on CM logo for half hour. I wiped dalvik and got the same result. Then wiped cache and dalvik and still stuck. What should I do? Flash again the rom? The restored data is from CM 10.2.1 so I don't see any problem....

check again what you restore, user apps will have no problem to restore but system apps will cause incompatibility to the rom and crash it

The phone is good now, I restored the stock rom and from there I flashed CM 10.2.1 just making a factory reset. Plus I flashed adreno drivers and gapps. Once it booted, I restored my apps without sistem data and now the phone works properly.
Thank you Mr.201

Glad it worked, make sure you untick 'system' in filter in titanium backup so that you can only see your user apps .

As I Don't see how that would help... I said I wiped dalvik cache and data(GAPPS), and cache.. That being said when I rebooted my system an error message saying com.androidsystemui cannot process or something like that... and at the moment my phone wouldn't connect via usb(Common S4 problem) I fixed this somehow I went out and bought a Motorola charger (A samsung one wouldn't work, and still doesn't) it finally connected so then I downloaded "Imperium ROM v10.0 FINAL, Bloatware v6.1, USPM Imperium v2.1" and copied such onto my phone and installed them like any other ROM
Recovery can cause problems. I agree with the suggestion to switch recoveries of you don't already have it working. I would also suggest doing a full wipe prior to installing the ROM in recovery. Phil's Touch works well on the S4.
So I wanted to go to Lollipop and I happened to flash the twrp recovery for new layout(as i was getting boot loop when flashing the rom with cwm recovery)
The things i tried until now.
1. Installed twrp and formatted it to get the new layout. Wiped everything, system, cache, data, dalvik cache
2. It was supporting MTP so i transferred the roms to the device being in recovery. Installed CM 12 + gapps for lollipop.
3. Rebooted to bootloader again. flashed boot.img, and did fastboot erase cache.
4. Rebooted again and stuck at CM boot logo.
I wiped the cache, dalvik cache(actually did a factory reset in the twrp recovery) and tried installing Resurrection Remix. Again flashed the relevant boot.img too. But the same result..
Did i destroy my phone?

Yes I can enter recovery. But again I just cant get any lollipop ROM's working. I dont know whether i have to restore to kitkat(i really dont want too..
I dont get it.. Wipe dalvik cache, cache, data and then disable mtp and then enable mtp.. I mean at the end what does this do?
And in the meanwhile did you mean HTC Sync Manager for device manager. FYI I use a mac(if this helps to get into the problem). And i had flashed kitkat roms from the same without a hiccup but lollipop is failing

its hard to explain with recovery you can mount ur sdcard and put another room and install ,the easy way its to start from the begin and install clear CM12 and you will get out from bootloop that help me i was in bootloop like 3920489208420984920 times hahaha

Have you solve the bootloop issue? I am having the same problem on my International One X
thanks
Probably both of you encountered the same problem as me.
If you are S-on, you have to flash rom and kernel separately. Also, if you try to revert any changes with twrp you have to flash kernel you were using during creation of backup, and then restore backup.
In other words: your current kernel is incompatible with rom.
Mwys
Yes i am S-ON. Can you tell me what the steps are to flash the kernel? I do not have a backup.
What is did was flash New Layout TWRP, did a complete wipe, then copied the ROM and G-Apps zips to the phone, installed them and then flashed boot.img.
Thanks for the help
Yup I also tried the same. but no luck. I tried to revert back to kitkat(by installing cwm, format the storage, sideloaded the ROM and gapps, flashed the boot.img) and still again in bootloop.
Sorry for the delay. I was a lot too busy with work.
I have my OP3 rooted and bootloader open today I installed the newest version of Oxygen OS I installed the software throught TWRP but i forgot to wipe dalvik and the cache but surprise the boot back without problem but i went to install supersu from also TWRP said everything was installed ok and I restarted but now is on a bootloop I already wipe dalvik and cache several times and im not sure how to installe again stock recovery or even how I will be able to install Oxygen OS again, help please.
Just wipe system and data in TWRP and flash OOS again. You can get the zip file here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/how-to/mirrors-official-oxygen-os-roms-ota-t3410870

hey first off no need to make multiple threads for the answer and secondly your question could be searched and to be honest just flash another rom. If you rooted your phone but not sure what to do afterwards thats not good. Please take time and read up on things before you go any further...
Just want to make sure you dont make multiple threads again and don't find yourself in issues that you cant get out of. .... Good Luck
