video in viber set to off. After making a voice call, video showing on camera; garbled so I couldn't tell. It looked like the back camera was on.

Are you serious? Your phone got hacked? Too much of CSI series
The call was made to a person who has attempted to spy on me before...

Hello!
I stupidly threw down for 12 month subscription of StealthGenie to monitor my teenager that struggles with drugs.
I thought I would be able to record the phone calls as per StealthGenie's advertising. Turns out, on the Samsung Galaxy S III , once a call connects the recording goes completely wonky. You can almost hear the back and forth of a phone conversation, but it is like the gain is set way too high ,so everything is far too distorted and staticy to make out.
What's weird is that it only happens when a call CONNECTS. If the phone is just ringing (not being answered), or I activate the "record surroundings" feature, the recording is fine and I can hear everything.
I suspect it may have something to do with the noise reduction feature. I will shut this off and try again but, does anyone know why this might be happening and anything else I could try to resolve it??
Thanks in advance for any help or ideas!!!
...
Don't buy stealthGenie btw. They will not refund you if this feature doesnt work ......... although no where on the website will they tell you it doesnt work for Samsung Galaxy S III. Ialso cant find anyone else that says it doesnt work, or do i HAve any idea how I can fix it.
(I also tested the 3gp AMR-NB audio file for any problems and it does not have any. Its a problem with the software OR the phone itself)

Try these two... a little static too, but atleast you get the job done. But I hope you know its illegal to record calls without notifying the other party, let alone recording your son's calls secretly.
Just feed your teenager some tough love, take the phone away from them, make em get a job and threaten them with rehab
hmmm......
Same issue
I am experiencing the same issue. Did disabling noise cancellation resolve in any way? I think this might be hardware related, and that once the microphone kicks in, it might simply be too close to the speaker to effectively record. On the other hand, I've heard of apps that record well on the Samsung S3.

Not in Texas . You can record calls just fine in Texas without telling anyone on the other line.

Thanks for reminding.
Thanks for your reminding. I'm seeking the phone monitoring software, and have searched online, a lot of apps come out including StealthGenie. I saw Mobile Spy is very popular online, but it is a little expensive and can't try before purchase. Another quite popular is iKeyMonitor, I downloaded its free edition, its features are limited, but it really works well so far.
I was trying to show off my new Domo Pebble Watchface in a video, and noticed that every time the watch face scrolls through, my videos would stop recording. I then realized that this happens every time the camera is running and looking at the Pebble. It only happens when some of the more complex watchfaces scroll through. Very strange.
I'm not sure what I just witnessed there.
The camera blacks out and restarts. When recording a video, this means the video stops recording. When you see the screen blink and go black, it's crashing.

I get it now, that is strange.
Could be something with the bluetooth connection. Some phones don't allow you to record video while on the phone. If something on the bluetooth triggers like a call, that might be what's killing it.

I can record other videos just fine. It only happens when the camera is recording the screen of the Pebble. I can make it do that whenever I want by cycling through that watchface.

I dunno. I think I get what he's saying now.
When you are recording, but not recording the watch and you start going through the watch faces the same way, does that trigger the problem? Or only when the pebble is in view?

Definitely a watch issue
BAD ASS G3
Hi everyone,
So, I just stumbled upon a supremely weird problem with my G3.
My voice recorder shortens recordings, i.e recorded for 2:54 minutes long, and it saved as 2:14 minutes long.
Now, since this happens, the recording itself is very screwy, with lots of jumps, cuts, and entire parts of it skipped.
The weird thing is that my microphone is fine. I am able to record WhatsApp recordings with no issue and calls have no issues.
Another thing I tried is recording calls, through the native recorder (using G3 TweakBox).
I also tried recording them through another application, called Automatic Calls Recorder.
Both gave me the same results:
Incoming calls recorded flawlessly.
Outgoing calls l cut up, and majorly short than the actual call.
As to anyone who may confuse this, I'm not asking about the applications I mentioned.
I mentioned the calls recordings merely as an example to the actual problem, as I see it, which is that the voice recorder is weirdly bugged in my device.
About my phone: G3, D855, 4.4.2, v10L, rooted via PurpleDrake.
Any ideas whatsoever?
Thanks!
Hi, does anyone know how i can record a phone call with both sides of the conversation being recorded. I have found an app "ACR call recorder" However this app only records both sides of the conversation, if the entire call is on speaker phone. I have tried many other apps, most of them, the sound quality on the other end of the conversation is terrible. my phone is not rooted and i would like to keep it that way. Thanks!!
Hi, there.
I've using my S9 for a couple of weeks now and I noticed a very annoying problem.
If I'm on a call (phone call, video call, regardless the app), using the speakerphone completely ruins it. On a video call it's easier to feel the problem: you can still see me talking, but you can't hear anything. The voice keeps fading out and back in and out again, like the volume was lowered and put back to normal. It's basically impossible to understand anything. Quality of the image is fine, it's smooth, not pixelated, but the voice is just terrible.
If I use the earpiece or wired phones (have not tried with BT yet) this problem doesn't happen.
I have the feeling that this has to do with the noise cancelling trying to filter out the noise.
When calling my wife (Xiaomi Mi A1), it also happens from her side to the point where we can't do video calls anymore. If I call my sister (iPhone 7), the audio is just fine for the same app and on a video call.
I have the feeling that this is a known issue, but I couldn't find a post about it.
