[Q] some apps cannot detect my online connection after a while - HTC 10 Questions & Answers

Hey everyone, I am currently on LeeDroid MM rom. I am having this really strange problem. Some of my apps cannot detect my online connection after a while. These apps include Yelp, slickdeals, and fivestars. When I open them, they tell me that I am offline (when I'm obviously not). A reboot would fix it, but after a while (various period of time), they would fail to detect my connection again. This only happens to a handful of apps. Other apps like chrome and google work just fine.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Problem downloading from Android market

up until 2 weeks ago my Desire was working perfectly. In the mean time I have travelled from the UK to Greece where I disabled the data roaming (I mention this as this is the only thing that has changed in the settings). On returning to the UK I now cannot download any new apps, or update any existing ones from the Android Market.
All that happens is I get a graphic which shows the commencement of the download, no progress bar movement and not actual download, irrespective of how long I leave the download going.
I have tried on wi-fi and over 3G, no luck.
When I switch the phone on I get an error message stating that it cannot verify the google talk account - which may be connected to the problem, however I cannot find any setting or app in the phone which has anything to do with the google talk app. The HTC desire online guide tells me how to access the 'talk' app, but following the very simple instructions does not reveal the app on the phone.
Anyone else experiencing the same problem or who has a solution?
Ta
stopped downloading apps
I've had same problem and not solved it yet!

[Q] After updating to 2.3.4 cellphone keeps donwloading updated version of an app

After updating to 2.3.4 cellphone keeps donwloading updated version of an app (in this case Angry Birds Season) multiple times. I already deleted the app, unnistalled but the only way to stop it seems to be deactivating any type of internet connection (wifi/3g)
Any way to fix it?
try unchecking 'automatically update' in the market page of that app
Happened to me. I uninstall update of market app. Then run market to see
Got a Headache? It's all in your Head.
I have to wait for it to finish downloading the multiple copies. It stopped after that. However, I want the app, and hoping the issue stopped I tried to install it again, but it started all over.
About the market update, the option "automatically update" is only turned on for foursquare (which I have to test again yet, was not working since last try).
Sometimes this happen due to the internet connection having intermittenly disturbance while updating which resulting having your device rescan and reupdating again and again. Or it can be also from human error as you press update button multiple times which triggered to a multiple downloads.
The last one comes from the app(Market) itself. You may try uninstalling the Market app and reinstalling it again to create new database and cache from a fresh installed.
Hi thanks!
I replaced the old market by the 3.1.3. Seems to be a bit heavier though.
I also noticed that the internet connection got a bit slower than the usual after upgrading. There is any optimisation to be done?
It also happened with me and I think it's mainly because of internet connection and pressing update multiple times just update it smoothly it will not download multiple time. It's really pain to download one update multiple time
Next time just press the update once and it will eventually updating, sometimes it take a little bit longer to start the update process so you got to be patient on this.
Internet connection normally base on your service provider(Telco) and distant between you and the transmitting tower. To optimise it, you better get the APN update direct from your service provider and stay within the coverage area..
just one thing.
Few apps internet and gps related are not working as it should, like foursquare.
How do I know if I made a full upgrade or not? Because I might want go back to 2.2.1

[Q] Problems with Google latest apps

Since the revised google apps for lollipop started arriving just over a month ago I've been having problems on my Nexus 7 (wifi only), especially with play newsstand and youtube over WIFI but also with lollipop itself. Newsstand will occasionally show headlines but will fail if I follow a link (problems connecting to network please retry). Youtube won't show anything further than the startup screens. Older versions of both newsstand and youtube work fine, but occasionally FC as does the latest google calendar. And when I tried installing lollipop I just could not get it to log into my google account (various errors, cannot connect to network, network is busy...). I've tried several OS variants including stock 4.4 and carried out several factory resets. My phone uses the same google account and works fine over WIFI (so I know my account is not corrupted), but I did notice that some apps didn't work properly until I'd used them for a bit over mobile data instead of wifi.
Does anyone else have similar problems? Ive seen lots of discussion about WIFI problems with lollipop, but not so much with the apps.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Rooted Oneplus3. Can't load any social media apps or some websites.

Hello all,
I have a rooted Oneplus3 running Experience ROM. About 3 days ago, randomly all my social media apps ceased working. Whenever I open each one, I get a message saying "check internet connection" or if I try to load specific websites on Chrome it says "this site can't be reached. Checking the connection."
I am unsure how to solve this other than doing a new wipe (which I really don't want to do).
Has anyone had a similar situation and found a resolution?
Thanks.
Never has this issue. Did you check your network settings? Try toggling airplane mode. If nothing works then take titanium backup of your apps and reflash the ROM.

SW3 uninstalls apps

Good evening. I'm having problems with my SW3. As I can't sync apps due to the Androld version of the watch I install them via adb. The apps I use are xdrip+ and Androidaps to manage my diabetes. The first one is precompiled and can be downloaded but the second one has to be compiled, I mean, you can't find them in Google Play. Whenever I install them they are removed by the watch even with the phone turned off (it's not a question of syncing, I think). They have worked for years but suddenly they are removed. If I install Google Maps it is not (the othet two are but Google Maps is kept). I've reinstalled the firmware and this time I haven't root it, but the behaviour is the same :-(
If someone has any idea what can be happening and how to solve it, please tell me.
Thank you so much in advance
