please help me .. while flashing cm12 on my samsung galaxy w using cwm it shows a dead android logo and a red triangle saying below installation aborted and i will be grateful for helping .thanks
Hi, are you sure that you are using the correct ROM for your phone? also try checking that you are using a suitable recovery to flash the ROM.
If it is still not working, kindly provide me more information so I can understand the problem

Ok can't get help from Dev's so I'm turn to you my fellow xda reader's . I flashed superevo v1 but wanted to try v2, it would get stuck at the cyanmods splash screen and loop. He said I have to update my hboot. I looked. All over in xda Google no help just more confusion. Can someone please help this noob.

Ok problem solved thanks to skyler. I couldn't flash any other rom not sure why something to do with cm6 based roms, in order to fix that I had to flash a HTC kernel ( htc#11 or #7) then flash a none aosp based rom and presto I'm able to flash away!

first of all i would like to apologize if this thread has been post (if it has, please direct me to the thread. thank you)
i have just rooted my phone and i managed to run rom manager and i tried to install Cyanogenmod 7.0.0-RC2
the problem occurs when i click on backup existing rom, the phone rebooted but it came back to life with a triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle.
What does this mean n how to resolve this...
please i need help.

You do not have ClockworkMod. You can flash it via Rom manager. You must have S-OFF.

i am using this rom 4.3 from a while ago and i wanted to change it to the 4.4 rom
i decided to flash Omni 4.4.2 new rom from this url

As per the installation instructions i went to download TWRP ver. 2.6.3.1 from here

and i installed it through Odin, and when i tried flashing the rom through TWRP it says successful when i do factory reset and when i try to format data it says failed and when i try to flash the rom it says failed
it keep saying
e:/ unable to find partition size for "/data"
am not developer or expert, but i used to flash many roms for all my past android devices and this is my first time to see such error
well, the device still working when i exit TWRP and do system reboot my rom boot up normally and the device is perfectly working on my phonix 4.3 rom
but i noticed that Odin can not detect my device on the downloading mode anymore but it still can detect it if the device is turned on
So, could you guys advise about what exactly i had missed or damaged here? can i flash other roms? or recovery?
please give me some help here in deep details as am really new to such errors

i have a galaxy tab 3 8.0 sm-t310 i was installing a new rom and wiped the system partition instead of the user data. i am using odin to try and reinstall stock rom but it keeps saying fail sw rev magic string invalid. the tablet has a stock but rooted recovery and odin will still let me change recoverys but not let me install a os please help

Is there possibility to download firmware to sd-card and try to apply update via recovery, if it's still working? Have you checked that your new firmware file isn't corrupted, i.e. check md5-sum?
Previously i was able to flash them, until i flashed S5 STE Rom by ploilki. Then i wanted to switch back to CM, could'nt flash the zip. It shows status 7 error saying that installation aborted. It further says this device is serrano3gxx! But actually my device is serranolte. (I9195). Anyone can help me to fix this issue.

Flash another recovery like TWRP or philz touch. Always use latest recoveries and wipe system,cache,data and dalvik before flashing rom.
Flashed TWRP and it solved the problem. Anyways thank you for the suggestion
