Maybe this works, but it's not cheap and (i think) not tested on the A 2017 series.
I'd be very wary of that website I havent seen anything relating to confirmation it works on XDA.
You can get private mode back with Xposed.

I saw a kernel named Superstock for Galaxy S7 Edge...this kernel can fix KNOX problem and allow us to use KNOX features even with a 0x1 KNOX!
this the link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/development/kernel-superstock-v1-3-5-t3453462
I am wondering is there anyone who can make the same kernel for A5 2017?
I am pretty sure that there is software solution for 0x1 KNOX...nothing is impossible

KNOX can't be disabled in the bootloader. You can only disable KNOX apps, so you don't get knox warning etc. And for that I believe you have to be rooted.

4. go to system/app in aroma and find and rename all the knox.apk files to knox.apk.bak(in short add ".bak") and dont touch files tat have .odex names (for ex. KNOX.odex)
learn to read 1st mate.
Thanks for your help, this process is very complicated, I just wanted to install the CyanogenMod 11 more leaves it to the next!
* If I knew about this before Knox I would not have bought the Galaxy Note 2, I am very disappointed with Samsung.

Towelroot doesn't work on Exynos SOC. The SM-T525 LTE version is able to root with towelroot using specific kernels.

You have the same Kernel version as me, so the easiest way would be to use towel root :
https://towelroot.com/
It is a one click root and shouldn't need much explanation. If this for some reason shouldn't work you could still try CF-Autoroot
NOTE:
Towel Root does not trigger the KNOX counter and you will still have your warranty
CF-Autoroot DOES trigger the KNOX counter and so will void your warranty

Depend of the firmware you have installed. The cf-auto-root Samsung /GT-I9515L/ MSM8960 MSM 8960 is for the firmware KOT49H.I9515LUBU1ANC1. :highfive:

SAMSUNG PAY no even if there will be a patch in a few days its gonna fail
but you can use google pay with magisk hide!
Purchasing from UK , but, is there a particular model I should look for?
Can it be BL unlocked simple enough (unlike Huawei grrrr)
Google Pay work in UK?
Google Assistant working?
thx
There's only one UK/EU model for the A50, it's the one with 4GB RAM and model number ending in FN. Yes Google Pay works on it.
Just avoid the ones from the grey importers on Ebay or sites like Eglobal or even some of the third party Amazon sellers that have 6GB RAM as they are the Hong Kong model which doesn't have NFC at all.

GPay works, Assistant as well.
BL can be unlocked but below I am copy pasting the response from an earlier thread with the hyperlink.
Locking bootloader won't be any useful as with unlocking knox is tripped which is a hardware fuse.

I think yes. Haven't updated firmware in Samsung phones since the first Samsung galaxy days so I am not qualified enough to answer it. Somebody more knowledgeable can confirm this.
