Best HTC One M8 Rom? - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I Currently Have 2 Phones.
An HTC One M8 ANd An iPhone 7
HTC Is Now My Fun Phone And It's Rooted But IDK Which ROM I Should Download
Any Suggestions?
Battery Life Is A Plus For ROMS
Speed Is Also Important

Someone just made a thread exactly like this yesterday. And there is a much longer, ongoing "best ROM" thread in the general M8 section. We don't need more threads like this.

thread closed, lets use some of the threads that have already had discussion in. There is a lot of useful information within these 2 links.

HD2 Android ROM subforum

A very good morning to all admins and mods!
As new ROMs and builds of Android for HD2 keep popping up, I think there is a need for a subforum for Android ROMs within Android for HD2 section so as to not mix all general threads with the ROM threads.
thanks for reading!
Perhaps Android HD2 Q&A and HD2 Android Roms within the main hd2 section?
Sounds ok tbh - but then what about winmo roms (that often come with someone else's android) designed to solely run android versus android builds? where do you draw the line?
The winmo ROMs should stay in the winmo ROM thread logically IMHO.

Yeah, but if you see some rom makers - like Energy and Chucky I think have posted 'android focused' Roms in the android section
so it has got a bit confusing tbh.

Hopefully with the markers, the forum can stay organized. If there's a specific thread that needs to be moved/deleted/better organized, feel free to ping me or another moderator.
i posted this but i wanted it to be more visable
I would like to suggest not just a Q&A thread but a subsection dedicated to this.
The reason why is because to many random questions that have been answered before I being posted in the main section. I value all the members that we have but id like to see the forum's being used more productively.
I noticed in the Q&A thread a lot of peoples questions had been skipped over. I believe this is do to the number of post that get added to this thread at any one time.
I think that if we had a sub-section just for questions less flaming would go on. Also there wouldnt be a need for double post as these topics would have their own thread. I believe it would make the mods life easier to control all the unneed post without having to drop the ban hammer.
also there is a lot of information in the other threads that are about android. I think that needs to be highlighted so that the dev's dont have to deal with the I'm knew to android questions.
I have put a lot of thought into this and I would just like for us to get along.
mskip or joshkoss or dharvey would you please consider this Idea.
If anyone else supports this idea please say so. I did not give this post its own thread because I felt I would be adding to the problems of random uneeded threads. I also tried not to call anyone out so please dont be offended.
I like the idea. Let us see if anyone else like it too.

The logic in this idea is sound.

[Q] Opinion required Which One is Best HTC One X OR Samsung Galaxy S3

Hello
I need an Opinion about HTC One X or Samsung Galaxy S3 which one i should go for i am confused please reply me back with the valid reason waiting for responses.
Thanks
How many of these do we need?!
Search (or even just look for a few pages!) and you'll find loads of threads with exactly this question as the title.
Apart from anything else why not just go to a shop and have a play with both of them. Then you can make your own mind up instead of asking the same question which has been asked many many times and clogging up XDA.
Oh, you've also posted in the wrong section. There's a Q&A section which is specifically for questions. (clue's in the name!!)

Just got my S3 and already rooted. Need afvice

Hi guys, so I just got an S3 i747 AT&T coming from iPhone 4s.
I already have it rooted and would like to load a room as close to stock as possible. I really liked the Moto X however, the camera was terrible... I would like to get that experience..
What's most important to me is battery life. I would like to get the most batteyr life possible. Can someone recommend a rom? I was thinking one of the Cyanogenmod ROMs. I thought that 10.2 version is the stable one but it seems that only 10.1 is stable? Would appreciate some advice.
This should be in the Q&A section.
New ROM suggestion threads tend to get closed very quickly around here by the moderators, as there have been entirely too many that often turn into "what's the best ROM, or just pit one ROM against another.
You should always look in the development section, as there are plenty of ROMs there that you might like. Also, every phone is different, so what might work great on one phone might not work the same on yours. You have plenty of Roms in the development section that you can try, so that you can determine whats the best ROM for you. Just read up on them before flashing and follow their directions, and you should be OK.

Thanks so much. I didn't realize this was against the forum rules...
There are so many roms there! I was just asking in terms of battery life or which one you would suggest for someone coming from an iPhone platform.

Android is definitely not iPhone. As far as best battery life refer to the advice given. Try various ROMs that look appealing to you until you find one that is acceptable on your terms.

Quantum ROM would be the best for your battery buddy.
Well, as previously stated, users are expected to do their own research and make their own determination as to what rom is best for them.
All the roms here are the best, try them all.

[Q] Sprint HTC One (M8) vs. HTC One (M8) Forums

hey all!
just got my sprint htc one m8 a couple days ago (coming from the GSIII), i'm rooted, s-off, and excited to jump into all the new roms... one thing though, i noticed in the sprint htc one m8 forums, there's really nothing in the Original Android Development section, and some roms in the Android Development section. but on this forum (nothing specific to a carrier), there's a whole slew of roms in the Original Android Development section!!! i'm just skeptical and don't know if i have to stick to roms in the Sprint forum.
any help or clarification about the possibility of using roms in this forum would be much appreciated!!! thank you!
Your best bet is to take a look at the ROMs and see if they specifically mention Sprint support or not. If it doesn't specify, search the thread to see if it's been asked. If not, ask. I know for a fact that some do, but not all of them. Enjoy the new device!

[Q] Should I Buy?

I have the Droid DNA but merely a year and a half in to it I've lost OS upgrade support from Verizon and HTC. If I upgrade to the One M8
1. Is it a good phone?
2. Will the same thing happen to the One that happened to DNA in only a year?
3. Is there root available?
Thanks in advance
Dude sorry to bash you and say this...but these questions are the most stupid someone ever asked...read through these threads/forum here and you see there is root otherwise there wouldn't be any Roms and kernels and whatever and if you would really read more about HTC news etc you would see this phone is superior and the update support will be 24 month or so active...so please never ask again such questions lol
And post questions in the Q&A section....not the general. What do you think Q&A stands for ?
1: do you think its a good phone
2: ask HTC
3: obviously....if you would have taken the time to check the many threads that cover root questions......
Thread moved to Q&A and Closed
All the answers you'll need are found above and would've easily been found if you'd even only had a quick look through the M8 forum.
Besides, asking a bunch of people who already have this phone whether you should buy this phone is pretty much guaranteeing you one response.
I'll close this as the answers are already here and because pesky trolls love threads like this and I'd rather not use too much troll repellent
