Hey Guys,
Just wondering if the ramifications of rooting the new firetv will then allow me to flash a stock android rom onto the device?
short answer: no
it hasn't even really been done on the AFTV1 with a full bootloader unlock and the root for AFTV2 doesn't unlock the bootloader at this point.
Hello
I have some questions. Is there any consequences by unlocking boololader like a not working fingerprint sensor etc? After unlocking will working everything? And Is it possible to root htc 10 without unlockin bootloader?
Cheers
Unlocking will not break anything so you are safe to go. And it's impossible to root conveniently without unlocking the bootloader. (If any phone do root without unlocking, then it's seriously insecure by today's standard.)
Hi,
I've searched practically everywhere, but I can't find a solution for my problem. So my Xperia S device does not allow bootloader unlocking, and I was wondering if there is any other way to update android to at least 4.3? I know there is a way to root, but would that help me to update without unlocking?
Thanks for your help!
