This app doesn't works very well. As you can read in the comments this will give you problems with the keyboard.
Better is this combination - Tasker:

AutoTools need secure settings permission which will be granted with a simple adb command. (No root needed!) An in app guide is available from Tasker -> new Task (tap + in lower right edge of Tasks window) -> new Action (tap + on lower Screen edge) -> Plugin -> AutoTools -> secure Settings -> Configuration (tap pencil) -> tap the i (info) icon on upper Screen edge.
After this AutoTools could be used via the Tasker plugins. Immersive mode could then be found under Tasker -> New Task -> new Action -> Plugin -> AutoTools -> Secure Settings -> Configuration (tap on pencil) -> Display -> Immersive Mode.
With this you have endless options. I have immersive mode always on except for some apps (e. g. camera). This could be achieved with a simple, app based Tasker profile.
An excellent replacement for the missing Navigation bar is this app - EdgeGestures:

Does this work without unlocking the phone? I'm looking for a way to hide the soft keys for the Nova Launcher. I've already tried the GMD-app, but like you said, it's not working well and breaks a lot of things.
Also, unlike the real immersive mode of Cyanogenmod, tools like GMD and Power Toggles remove the soft keys but leave the space unused. Nova Launcher doesn't expand to full height. Is Auto Tools capable of doing this?
Edit: I just installed AutoTools but I can't find an immersive mode-option under "Secure Settings". Could you provide more details?

I changed my previous post and added a more detailed guide.
I have nova too and it uses the full screen like all other apps too. I also have no issues with Keyboards (tested Swype and Gboard). Except that they always show the Navigation Bar. But this is an Android limitation and for me a rather comfortable and positive effect..
About locked/unlocked bootloader: My bootloader is unlocked (but no root or anything else). But I am pretty sure that this will work with locked bootlader too because you don't make any change to the system. AutoTools will also keep it's new permission after OTA's.

You basically create an own app from a provided Task and grant it WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS permissions. There's even an example for triggering immersive mode only for Nova and Google Maps, which is working great and without any delay.

In secure settings there is no "Display" option . The options are location mode, mobile data, night mode, battery saver, show touches, system animations, services, lock screen

Part 3: Wallpaper Setup
1. Open MPLW - Add 3 screens
2. Open Screen (1, 2 & 3) settings - Change to wallpaper that you have downloaded
3. Transition Type - None
4. Disable Reflections.
5. Go back - Set Wallpaper
Part 4: UCCW
To add the skins:
- Hold down on the homescreen - Widget - UCCW - any size.
- In the main menu after tapping the widget, select "Uzip", now just find where you pasted the Black Bar.uzip and select it.
- After it appears on your homesreen, resize it to the way it looks in the video.
- You can now edit the hotspots (allows you to open apps when tapping a certain area) in this skin, by tapping the skin to open it.
- Then select 'Hotspots' in 'Select Object', followed by editing your needed hotspots.
- If you would like to know more about hotspots, see the link below.
- Finally tap any UCCW skin, Menu - Hotspots Mode - On
Remember: Turn Hotspots mode ON to prevent opening the editor each time.
***If you get a white box, remove it, then re add the skin from the UCCW gallery, then it should work***
Temperature not working? UCCW Editor - Menu - Settings - Weather Provider - Change... Should work.
Part 6: Shortcut Setup
1. Hold down on the homescreen - Apps - Select Multiple.
2. Select the apps you require - Add
3. Drag the apps to icons as shown.
4. Hold down on each icon - edit - tap the image - find the blank.png and select it.
5. Select the tick and you are good to go
Part 7: WidgetLocker Setup
First remove any icons or widgets, then:
1. Tap the white icon at the top to open up the settings.
2. Look & Feel - Select Alternative Wallpaper.
3. 'Select Wallpaper' - find the black icons you copied onto your phone.
4. As long as it doesn't show the icon you will have a black wallpaper.
5. Layout - Drag the Anchor all the way to the bottom & Deselect Auto grid size.
6. Change the grid size to 12x12
7. Hide Notification Bar.
UCCW:
Add skins as shown in the previous UCCW setup.
Desktop Visualiser:
1. Add a 2x2.
2. Action - Camera, Icon - Select the Camera icon provided.
3, Clear label - Done - Resize widget as shown in video.
Custom Slider:
1. Hold down on the lock screen - Custom Slider
2. Get Themes - Download the Invisible Table & Install it.
3. Swipe the Sound Icon to the right - Disable Action
4. Swipe to slider to the right - Disable the action.
5. Swipe to the Lock to the left - Icon Tab - Select the Arrow Icon,

You should write that this is for the Ascend Mate and not the P6. Some users could be confused.

Seems you are asking, if this will replace your custom recovery to Stock one.
No it would not replace your recovery to Stock, however if it prompts you to disable flashing of stock recovery
you need to select yes, so the Rom doesn't force replace your custom recovery.

If you just download from the site, then the speed can be small. If you register, you will have access to the Google team disk, from there download much faster, but do as you please, all the best

MagicMod comes with Magisk preinstalled, and the Miuipro version with supersu.
Does it support for f2fs? out of the box?

I installed it and after booting it shows something in russian language, i dont*understand jack sh*t, i press something in the middle it sends me to recovery
