Hi!
It's the summer where I live and it's like above 40°C in my appartment (Yeah, I've a free sauna, jealous?), and this cause my One X to overheat all the time, I'm not even doing "heavy" stuff, just browsing the Internet or Facebook via Wifi, I already tried to slow down the CPU to 1200Mhz but it is still very hot, is there a solution to avoid this issue (apart from "DON'T TOUCH IT!"), I can't believe that Taiwan is a cold country and that the HTC was not made to work at 40°C...
You can see my ROM and Kernel above this message (signature) I'm trying to install Viper ROM to see if it fixes the issue... :fingers-crossed:
Nevermind, I fixed it, I used wrong voltage and too low down threshold value in SetCPU which caused the CPU to overheat and stand longer activated, silly me

Could you tell us what configuration you're using? I'm kinda having the same problem.
Appreciate your help.

i would like to know the same thing, what voltage calibration did you use and when you were able to get the temp down to what you liked did you still have good gaming performance?

he fixed nothing, he messed up his cpu settings and noticed it later, so he put the cpu settings back to stock.

Wow, what a up !
Seriously though, I'm not using my HTC One X anymore, but last time I used it, I used Faux kernel with -100 uV and some Ondemand governor tweaks (mostly to lower frequencies at as state that is just above lags) and it was running lagfree and a lot cooler than stock, but I hope you don't mind loosing a bit of 3D perf...
I know there might already be an answer to my question but if been searching for 2 hrs and can't find it.
Can anyone point me to a Kernel which can be used with the ROM in the title?

you can use only the stock one, cause the JB kernel's source code hasn't been released yet....

So why is my CPU running at 1.3 Ghz not 1.5Ghz since I flashed this rom?

Wouldn't that be listed in Rom details?
I just want to know if my phone is running as it should or not
I have found what was wrong, it was the battery saver app under-clocking the CPU .
Just some info in case anyone else has/had the same question

in fact that sounded pretty strange to me....
Yeah sounded strange to me too but I didn't know there was a battery saver app by default

HTC's ****
i actually find the power saving feature more power consuming(aside from brightness and vibration), i think it causes all processors to start up at lower frequency rather than 1 cpu at high frequency.

Yes I did notice that too, in fact I'm not using it anymore, I just do everything manually instead.
I've got another question about this rom, is it normal that the wallpaper isn't scrolling when I scroll through the home screens?
I have been using Yureka for few days and see that cpu cores are always on, irrespective of load. Is anyone working on a kernel which can shutdown 4-6 cores when idle or when screen off? I think this would be great for batter.
Try Cpu Tuner, it has options for profiles and to turn off CPU cores after digging into some settings to enable it as far as i remember.
I am using it. However, the current kernel (as well as Sandy) does not support core shutdown so none of the apps have this option. CPU tuner will scale down frequencies to what i want but all 8 cores are always running.
Like this?
How did you shut down the cores please tell us..

bro how this possible ??
It is achieved with the help of CPU Tuner app. I am using it since I got my Yureka.

Can you share your configuration from CPU Tuner? I can't any option in cpu tuner to shut down cores. Only governors and their affinity settings.

"Simple and Powerful" Config with "Power User" profile.
My CPU tuner was working in non power user mode . Thanks for the info. I can control cpu cores now.
Now only if someone makes a kernel with more governors and automatically shut down cores on low usage . It seem cpu tuner only allows me to set number of cores for a profile.

If I am wrong correct me, if I have understood what you are trying to say, you most probably wish to use the feature where the idle cpu cores are shutdown once the load is not that much.
In my knowledge, that's 'Hotplugging' right ?? coz it more or less does the same function. Try installing some custom kernel that provide you with some really good hotplugging governers. And coz the development for yureka is really in it's full form, there have been few kernels that have been posted in the "Original Android Development" section of our xda forums. Try going through them, you will find what you are looking for !

Yes sir, hotplugging kernel is what i am looking for. Last time i checked, there was just Sandy kernel which did not had this. It seems there are a couple more now . I will give them a shot and update.

sorry I wrongly read your question.
for cpu temperature -
/sys/class/thermal/
_____
there are several thermal_zone.
I dont know which is correct.
I am using CPU float app (com.waterdaan.cpufloat) which is using thermal_zone7 by default for cpu temperature reporting

I find something interesting.
it looks like different sensors are used for different cpu core to report cpu temperature.
I am on latest official RR(574) and found this in /system/etc/thermal-engine.config
# tsens_tz_sensor6 : cpu1
# tsens_tz_sensor4 : cpu0
# tsens_tz_sensor1 : pop_mem
# tsens_tz_sensor15 : gpu
# tsens_tz_sensor11 : cpu3
# tsens_tz_sensor9 : cpu2
look this different cpu core using different sensors
Hi all,
I would like to try to overclock CPU and GPU of my OP9RO.
Is anyone knows some RELIABLE app to do that ?
Many thanks to all of you !
Gpu overlocking you can with konabess.apk
Cpu is not pisible

SD888 is already too hot on this phone. You need to lower CPU's max frequency to get a more stable CPU/GPU performance.
You can't because oneplus pro 9 has an annoying thermal throttle feature. I wish someone could / would make a magisk module to disable the annoying excess heat notification and throttling.

Just need to change some values in global settings.
op_orange_temperature_skin=aaaaa
op_red_temperature_skin=bbbbb
op_temperature_orange=ccc
op_temperature_red=ddd
aaaaa,bbbbb,ccc,ddd=48000,52000,430,460 and I changed to 50000,54000,460,500

CPU is completely locked so you can't do anything other than changing the min/max frequency via a kernel manager like FMK.
The GPU however is not locked and you can underclock, overclock and change voltage via the Konabess app.
Hi all,
thanks for your replies.

Yes and Yes.
FMK is a paid app however there are heaps of free alternatives out there, just search up Android kernel manager.
The version you want is Konabess v0.19 with gradual voltage, you can get a copy here -> https://t.me/adreno_konabess
