Hi, I have an Oppo Find 7 model X9076 (monitor 2k) with original ColorOS v2.1.5i (android 5.0) and unified partitions (32 GB total space not 3+29).
I wanted to upgrade it to omni-7.1.1-20170402.
I have TWRP installed and I have the following zip files: "removelvm_find7_FULL_WIPE.zip", "setuplvm_find7_FULL_WIPE_09012014.zip", "omni-7.1.1-20170219-find7-WEEKLY.zip" (i also have the latest one), "open_gapps-arm-7.1-micro-20170223.zip" (i also have the stock one), and "UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip".
Question time:
1- I tried flashing supersu (version 2.46), everything goes fine, i clean chace/dalvik than reboot, I start the supersu app and it asks me to update , i try updating but always fail and the phone keeps being unrooted. How can I solve this issue? Is it possible to upgrade to omni 7.1.1 without root?
2- In order not to have issues do i have to flash omni than flash the lvm zip or viceversa?
3- In order to have one single partition of 32GB which file do i have to flash? setuplvm or removelvm?
Thanks everyone for helping such a noob-modder.
Flash latest twrp image. If you already have unified partition through colorOS, then no need to flash setuplvm or removelvm. Just wipe data, system, cache, dalvik and flash latest Omni followed by gapps and then in the end flash latest SuperSu 2.79. Reboot and pray for yourself
Hello I have an Oppo Find 7s x9076 too.
I don't have unified storage on my phone.
My question is, what I have to do to get lvm?
Is something like that.?
Steps:
1. Nandroid backup,
2. flash setuplvm_find7_FULL_WIPE_10282014.zip
3. Reboot into TWRP
4. Flash OmniROM, gapps and superSU (can I flash the 3 at same time?)
Or I have to make a full wipe before all this steps?

I can't update my N7100 from previous Omnirom to latest CM11. I wiped my phone, installing latest CM11 zip and phone is stuck at N7100 logo and restart to recovery. When I install Omni zip everything is working fine. I'm tried TWRP and Philz recovery but no results. Please help
did you wipe /system, /cache, /data and dalvik? (full wipe).

Yes of course but I think CM isn't extracting to /system because when I leave recovery it shows there's no root and asks if I want to install it.

Recoveries tend to do that... they do not detect superuser from any CM based ROM and offer you to install supersu after a ROM install and rebooting system.
I you do full wipes and you have tested latest Philz and TWRP recoveries... I can only suggest you to double check that the CM11 ROM is the correct one for your N7100.
It is strange that you encounter issues with CM based ROMs... these usually install without problems... I've encountered problems booting TW based ROMs, but not these. Sorry I can't be or more help. Good luck .
EDIT:: wait a second... according to your screenshot, you did a full wipe after installing the CM ROM... you are deleting your ROM that you just installed . The steps are:
1.- full wipe
2.- install ROM
3.- Install GAPPS
4.- wipe Dalvik <-- (some devs recommend this step, others don't... doesn't hurt to do it anyway)

I have been able to install TWRP on a S4 Mini. Do I need anything else to flash CM13?

No, but most people would flash gapps 6 too, else you will miss a lot (must be done at the same time as the ROM the first time to set permissions)

Copy CM13 rom and gapp in your sd card.
Backup your old firmware through twrp.
Do a factory Reset from Wipe.
And install CM13 and gapp respectively.
And enjoy ^_^

checked every file hash matches, did exactly as written, done all of above and it doesn't work
TWRP went on in less than 10 second does that sound normal ? and how do you know if its actually on there?
Nope. Installation take atleast 2 or 3 minutes.
and if its installed properly you would have seen different rom from the stock.
Here is what i use for s4 mini(i9192). Also used it on i9190 model as well.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-mini/development/rom-aokp-rom-25-apr-2016-t3366314
and these steps mentioned in the website.
A. Initial install
1. Copy ROM and Gapps to your external SD Card or internal memory
2. Boot into recovery
3. Wipe
4. Install ROM and Gapps
5. Reboot
Its simple. Should have worked.
I hope you have installed your model rom.
A question the system format is required to install the rom ??

In TWRP Swipe for factory reset will do the job. you can also do dalvik /art cache in advance wipe. System or other wipe never did it for changing roms.

Ie that enough only to make WIPE FACTORY RESET AND WIPE DALVIK CACHE is not necessary to the FORMAT SYSTEM, DATA AND CACHE ??
sorry i do not understand.
to install a rom just do a factory reset. nothing else is necessary.
If you do not do factory reset, sometimes you will not be able to install a new version of rom(for example, from kitkat to lollipop).
if you do not do factory reset its called dirty flash.
for example
you are using custom rom cm13. and it has a new update released, you go in twrp recovery and install the updated rom without doing factory reset. this way you can keep all the application and data you have.
i hope i am making some sense. it is hard for me to explain.
well do some flashing and you will understand but always make a backup.
I just got my new OP3, I rooted it and flash Cm 14.1. Everything was working fine until I added a 6x6 pattern password which I forgot. Search around a bit and looked like the only option was to factory reset. I went to twrp and wipe into factory reset. Afterwards I reboot system only to find that I'm stuck at the Oneplus logo screen, it wouldn't load into lock screen. I have tried flashing lastest stock rom as well as OS 3.2.7 which was the one I used in conjunction with Cm 14.1.
No idea how to fix this. I can use recovery mode and fastboot, but I just can't get pass that logo during reboot.
Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.
try wiping the dalvik cache and data and everything else and clean install the ROM

I wiped everything but the internal storage. I am quite new, what is clean install?
Check this thread out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/how-to/guide-downgrade-to-mm-flashing-ob8-t3511161
If all else fails, and you're fine with losing your data, pictures, etc. Reformat your phone. I had a similar problem when trying to go back to Android M from N. I ended up booting in fastboot and running the commands:
fastboot format:ext4 cache
fastboot format:ext4 data
fastboot format:ext4 system
Then from here you could either side load a ROM or boot into twrp and transfer your ROMs to flash. That's how I fixed my softbrick lol. There might be another way but that worked for me.

Wiping all partitions except for internal storage then flashing a ROM is considered a clean flash.
Thanks

Well in that case, I have clean flash multiple times with different ROM, but I'm still stuck at the logo once I try to reboot. I also tried to flash Os 3.2.7 and Cm 14.1 again but i got no results. Attempting to reformat I guess? I have no data since its a new phone, so I don't mind losing stuff.
Okay sounds good! Before you reformat through fastboot, try booting into twrp and reformatting the partitions through there. TWRP>wipe>advance wipe>cache>change file system>ext4
Repeat the steps for the data and system partitions as well. Then from there transfer a 6.0 ROM and flash it over with the correct Gapps.

Really Strange. I think its the problem with the system partition format and encryption.
Anyway best solution now is to contact Oneplus tech support.
They'll hard reset your phone and restore it with stock firmware.
Partitions are probably corrupt or on f2fs. Check each partition and make sure it's set to ext4. If it won't allow you to do that in twrp, use the command "fastboot format:ext4 nameofpartition". After that you should be able to flash over a marshmallow ROM.

Have you tried changing / updating the twrp recovery. Newer roms require the unofficial one.

I can't solve the problem so I contacted Oneplus. They use remote access to help wipe everything and reinstall drivers. Thanks for the help though.
I'm new to Xiaomi phones. But from what I am seeing is, you have to format data Everytime you flash a rom to avoid boot loop. Is this true?

I only format the data when I change from global to eu rom. Within global I or within eu rom I only wipe data and it boots fine. In fact between eu roms and aosp roms like RR, Xenon,... I also only wipe data. You also have to wipe system, cache, and dalvik cache.

You should first backup your 7.11.6 global to the micro sd card just in case. You can only backup system and boot. I do not think you can backup your data. However you can just wipe cache and dalvik cache then flash V9.1.1.0.NDEMIEI (MIUI9) global. You can then keep your data. If you flash the eu rom you will need to format the data. If this is the case you will lose your data plus the content in your internal memory.

I forgot to mention. When you flash V9.1.1.0.NDEMIEI (MIUI9) global. Your twrp will be replaced by the stock recovery. Before you boot up you should backup this recovery for future use. If you ever get boot loop with the recovery you can get into fastboot then use the command "fastboot format userdata". You rom will then boot up normally.
Hi XDA!
I want to install this ROM: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-unofficial-10-0-gauguin-lineageos-17-1.4224633/
I did all the necessary steps:
Copy the ZIP onto my SD card
Boot into TWRP (already installed)
Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> I wiped Dalvik/ART Cache, Cache, Data
Install -> select LineageOS ZIP
After install I went to Wipe -> Format Data
After data format I rebooted into system
After all these steps it just boots into recovery. I also tried with NikGapps, but that gave me error 255 when formatting Data so I will NOT install any GApps (I also don't need them).
What am I doing wrong here? I have already flashed LineageOS on my Redmi Note 7, so these steps should work.
Thanks for any help

This rom requires you to be on android 10 stock MIUI firmware
Either flash that first or if you want to remain on stock MIUI android 11 firmware choose a different custom rom that is based on Android 11 stock firmware
Note an android 11 custom rom can still be based on stock MIUI android 10 firmware/vendor so don't get confused!
Read the first post fully and it will tell you what firmware is required
And if you want gapps I would use open gapps nano version
