I'd like to modify the time-out period for lock screen notifications on my M8. Is there a setting for this?

When I get a calendar notification my screen turns on and when its in my pocket it stays on. How do I stop this? A notification sound only would be fine.
i'm assuming you're on stock and using the stock calendar. unfortunately the only way to turn that off is by ticking notifications off in the notification settings. by doing this it turns off ALL (ringtone, vibrate, icon in status bar) of your notifications.
you could look into a 3rd party calendar app and see if this is an issue.
Simply lower your screen timeout time.
No matter what I do the screen always turns on when I get a text or email. I have tried different texting apps and I have also disabled screen wake in those apps but the screen still turned on. I think that it must be some phone setting that I haven't found. How can I turn this setting off?
In settings - display there's a setting there, have you turned that off? Ambient Display it is
Thanks! I feel stupid...
So I've got a problem.
If I diasable Moto Infos for using the regular lockscreen the display doesn't flick on to show the notification.
You hear the sound that a notification arrived but the screen stays off.
If you activate the screen manually you can read the notification as normal.
Anyone know why my lock screen display ignores my brightness and blue light filter settings? Before unlocking, my screen is always bright and does not have the blue light filter enabled during the scheduled hours I have set.
I have tried disabling the "Brighten screen" option in the Face recognition settings with no luck. Is this normal behaviour?
I remember being able to tell Google Assistant to start a timer for x minutes and the screen would stay on until the timer is finished and stopped.
But for the last few months, the timer starts, then GA tells me a timer is running (doh) but it doesn't display the remaining time, then it goes to the lock screen.
Is there a way that I am missing to keep the screen on and on the Timer screen until I stop it?
Besides setting Stay awake on in Developer Settings, IDK
One way is to enable always on display (you can even have a quick toggle to enable/disable AOD for quickness) as the timer is displayed on there when screen goes off
