Hi,
I purchased a Lenovo P2 from a Three store and set it up using the a Three sim card - everything seemed to be working fine. I've since switched to EE in the UK and cannot get my phones data to work. I've tried multiple APN settings with no joy. Does anyone have this phone working in the UK with an EE sim card?
I'm hoping this isn't an issue with the LTE bands.
Thanks,
Mike
Not strictly an EE aim but I have a plusnet aim in slot 1, runs 3G just fine( it's not a 4G sim).
Can't see any reason why EE should be a problem.
Thanks - kind of what I figured. I've tried the EE sim in a Moto G4 Plus and I'm being told the sim is "Suspended" (Whatever that means). So I'm assuming it's a sim problem rather than a phone problem - will give EE a call later.
Cheers,
Mike
Hope you get it sorted so you can use this beast of a phone.
BT Sim working fine. EE by another name.
I use an EE sim in the primary sim slot without any problems, I'm also using a Three sim in the secondary slot.
All up and running now! Needed a sim reset from EE.
Few teething problems - I find the way doze works on this phone pretty annoying (using Disable Doze atm) and I miss the Moto G4 Plus' slightly more stock Android but the battery life is just fantastic and the screen is lovely. Hoping the Nougat updates will fix some of the issues.

Hi guys,
I'm using LG G3 D855 model with stock lollipop ROM. Currently i'm experiencing a pretty annoying bug involving my SIM.
My device seems like rejecting my SIM, when I turned it on with my SIM inserted it doesn't recognize the SIM. But when I test it with my friend's SIM it worked normally. The thing is when I tried my SIM on my friend's phone it also worked normally. My friend's phone is exactly the same as mine (LG G3 D855). I also tried with 3 other phones which have a micro SIM and have the same result.
So my conclusion is both my phone and my SIM is working fine, but when both of it come in contact the device is rejecting my SIM.
I have changed my SIM card twice to my operator and it only worked for 3 days (LTE SIM) and 8 days (3G SIM) before experiencing the same results again.
Any solution guys? It's pretty frustating to have changed SIM every week.
Thanks.

I would suggest you take it into a service centre to have it looked at
It sounds like it might be a hardware issue
If your friend's sim works on your phone I believe it's not a hardware issue. Try to flash Kitkat and Lollipop kdz.

Was wondering if anyone here with a 3 subscription in Ireland or the UK can use data on the 2nd sim when abroad (with the 3 sim in slot 1)? I'm currently a 3 customer and had an LG G4 dual sim phone before and it wasn't possible to use 3G or 4G on the 2nd sim because 3 can't run on 2G or Edge. So the 3 sim always had to have data access enabled.

You can only have data access on one sim at a time. You can switch which sim has the data access but the one with data access will have 4g/3g/2g and the other sim will be 3g/2g. I use EE and Three in mine both are able to get a signal and use calls and texts. EE is the data sim on mine and Three can still make and receive calls and texts.

I used to have this problem with my dual sim HTC M8 - because only one sim could be run in 3G/4G.
Be reassured, I now can run a 3 sim happily as second sim, the OP3 allows the second sim to run in 3G.
Many thanks for the replies! Just wanted to make sure I can use the local sim for data access as the 3 Like Home option is not very good for data speed
Hello,
I had my M8 replaced under warrenty and received a brand new M8. I am in Australia and use the Telstra network, and they provide network unlocked phones for plan customers, thus this phone isn't network locked.
When I first got it, it kept saying "Invalid Sim Card" on the lock screen for 2 days, and it went away by itself. The tech at the store said at that time they had significant network problems and we're resolved at the same time my phone was playing up. In those 2 days I also replaced the Sim Card and it made no difference.
Flash forward 4 weeks and I went overseas to Germany and the phone worked fine for a few days then again said Invalid Sim Card. No matter how many times I rebooted it I couldn't get it onto the network. Once I returned to Australia it worked fine.
I am now in South Africa and my Australian Telstra Sim Card was working fine but I needed a local number for data, so I purchased a Vodacom sim with data only and it worked straight away. My girlfriend also brought a Vodacom sim for her M10 (same Telstra plan as me) and hers is fine
My sim and phone ran on their networks fine for 12 hours and I wake up this morning and it's now saying "Invalid Sim Card" again. I've tried rebooting it several times with no luck.
Does anyone have any ideas?
I'm not convinced it's the Sim Card tray as it works fine on Australia, only when overseas. I don't know anything about the radio or baseband stuff but it's that related?? What can I check??
I used the IMEI24 website to confirm the phone was unlocked from the carrier, and entering *#*#4636#*#* doesn't show any info as it's not on the network.
Phone is currently unlocked, S-on, TWRP 3.0.2.0, rooted, Marshmallow.
I'm pretty angry as I have an ultra marathon in 2 days, and this phone was to connect my Garmin watch to the internet so my friends and family could track me, and most importantly my girlfriend could find me at the finish.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I doubt it has anything to do with radio baseband. GSM bands are pretty standard worldwide, and just about any "quad band" (850, 900, 1800, 1900) GSM phone should get you at least voice and EDGE data services. And all M8 versions support those GSM bands. Therefore, any M8 should get you at least GSM service, regardless of the radio baseband installed.
I wonder if the issue is the SIM modules themselves, and the "overseas" issue is a red herring? My thought is, that maybe the overseas SIMs you purchased don't quite fit as well as your local (Australian) SIM. One thing you can try, is put some Scotch tape on the SIM (on the side without the gold contacts) and see if that "fattens" up the SIM enough to make better contact. Be careful not to get tape stuck in SIM slot/tray. I've seen this trick work for some folks with the Invalid SIM error.
Hi,
Just picked up a Wileyfox swift 2x and am having an issue using it in dual sim mode.
When a single sim is enabled it works just fine but if the second sim is enabled I lose reception for both sims, once I disable one of the sims the other sim then receives reception as normal. Have looked on the forums but cannot see any other users having the same issue so don't know how to progress this.
Have used these sims in a dual sim phone previously without any issue so its clearly a handset rather than an operator issue.
Any help appreciated!

Is this a suggestion to post in this forum or is there a thread related to this in this forum?
I have seen the thread related to Dual Sim and the lack of 2G fallback, but that is not related to my issue as both SIMs have previously been used in other dual SIM phones.

That is the forum for your device,Wileyfox Swift 2. Here is a forum for Wileyfox Swift only.
Operating frequency
Hi,
I had a similar problem to this in NZ recently (on Swift model). It happened to me a my phone was not compatible with many frequencies of one of the sim cards I had in. Switched the sim to a more compatible network and now both Sims are behaving well.

Thanks for your input.
I ended up returning the phone to Amazon and the replacement phone worked just fine so the issue was obviously limited to that particular phone.
Dual sim problem.
I had similar problem. I used ga giffgaff sim and a Three sim (Hutchinson), but three switched off 2g in my area. TFor calls it was fine, but enabling data caused problems. In the end I removed the three sim.
I just picked up a U.S. model unlocked A50, but before I open it I wanted to find out if anyone has successfully used a data-only T-Mobile SIM in theirs. This plan and SIM I have I've been able to move between any unlocked phone or tablet I've tried over the last few years. Works great for what I use it for - a secondary device.
The reason I'm wondering if it works in the A50 is because it did not work in my old unlocked model S9+, I'm guessing because T-Mobile had the IMEI registered in their system as a smartphone and not an unlocked tablet or phone.
Since the A50 is not sold by T-Mobile, I'm hoping I won't have this issue...any thoughts?
Thanks in advance!
I'll go ahead and answer my own question in case someone needs this info in the future.
Yes, my data-only SIM works perfectly in the unlocked A50. Once I put the SIM in, the phone rebooted and reconfigured itself for T-Mobile and automatically setup the correct APN. Data and texting worked great, only issue was the APN was not editable and I needed to do this to enable the hotspot.
I manually created an identical APN to the stock one, with the only addition being a ",dun" added to the end of APN type to enable the hotspot feature.
Everything is working great now, very happy with this phone. IMO, this is by far the best phone out there for the price.
