I'm facing the same issue! Have tried all the Root options, like king root, kingo Root, purple drake, one click root.
I really don't know what's happening with my device.
These are the software infos:
Android Version: 6.0
Security level date: 10-01-2016
Kernel version: 3.4.0
Build number: MRA58K
Software version: V30a-GLOBAL-SCA
Have you tried rolling back to a previous version and rooting that?

I've done some reading, and it seems there are two relatively easy ways to root the Sprint LG G2 - IO Root and Towelroot. Just wondering which one is recommended. The most important thing to me is that I won't lose any data by rooting, and I guess the second most important thing is being able to unroot (since I believe LG will eventually be offering Lollipop 5.0 and I'll definitely want to upgrade to that, and then hopefully re-root )

Did the g3 really have 4.4.4 ? Or is this a custom rom ?

Im trying to root my phone and have tried purple drake and gotten error messages saying my version isnt compatible Ive tried stump abut it says its discontinued. i tried KingRoot But it's a temp root can't event install TWRP on it

You have to downgrade to KitKat first. Word to the wise though, grab the modem from mm first as there isn't one available for download on the d850.

already try kingroot but unfortunately, no luck
