Wipe system, cache, dalvik/art cache, data
Flash rom zip and gapps
Reboot
Never dirty flash from one rom to another
Substratum support is there as long as you have root and latest Substratum app. Some themes may have a little catching up to do, have fun testing them!
If you have any issues, grab a log after a clean flash, upload and link here please. Add steps to reproduce the issue in your post.
Do not report issues dirty flashing this over some unofficial build or with some kernel flashed.
Logcat Extreme app is great as you can choose to start recording a log just before reproducing an error and stop recording just after so you log just the part you need.
Xposed is not supported here, if you want to run it and have issues, try an Xposed thread for support and bug reports here only welcome with a clean install with no Xposed present.

Is it possible to make GZ ROM official for titan? And will you be porting Oreo version of this ROM?

Will this be made official?

Install option in APK installer doesn't work if gesture anywhere is enabled. And also can you change the default min brightness value?

Very interesting ROM, too bad no new builds are available...

Coming from another rom/clean install:

Updating from a previous build/dirty flash:

As an alternate root solution, SuperSU can be flashed, v2.80 works for me. After flashing, your device may boot twice before boot animation, don't worry it'll be fine after that

Great ROM, Validus. But I ran into an issue. Developer Options gives a black screen then ANR for Settings appears after some time.

Yes, I have already built Validus. Even with Feb sec patch. But telephony does not work. I probably know how to fix it, but I have not had time yet. I just do not know if I can do the tipsy update because Oreo is more important.

Many thanks for the multiple ROMs and kernel you're working on. I plan on using this phone until it no longer works, and appreciate the life you're giving it.

Substratum is working extremely good, but I'm facing these two issues, Settings app crashes on opening Developers_Options , and wifi-hotspot shows error after changing Name & password.

Developer options crashing settings is a known problem on SlimROM for the Robin, not fixed yet. So since this is based on Slim, same problem. Only work around is root and change settings with an external app (if changing graphics to .5 or off, LSpeed and similar apps). The wifi hotspot I have no idea, I don't use it.

My impressions after about day and a half of use: everything seems to be working fine, rom feels extremely smooth and UI is really refreshing. Unfortunately I experienced one random reboot, but that is the case with most android 11 roms. Overall, great job blackcat67!

It will be updated ? or it is the rom only one build. I wanna try that rom but If it will not be updated then i cant use that rom for a long time .

Hiii. Thank you for this work. When will you give the new update ?
Also there is a issue on lockscreen. İf you are using phone with dark mode and you want to open quick tiles while your phone is locken then the clock is still visible on quick tiles. This is not unvisibe or hiding. can you fix it please. I hated this isue and roll back to aops extended.

Thanks a lot. The best a11 custom rom for mi5! Only on your rom i have more than 1gb+ of zram. On another roms 500-700mb. I can holding a lot of apps in background. Thanks. Please build a12 or 13 custom rom for mi5 with a large size of zram. I tried all roms a12, a13. These roms have a small zram size, bad ram manegament. Or build a custom kernel, if possible.
