Lineage OS 7.1.1 Bootloop from damaged Micro SD - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey Guys,
i´ve a 32GB Micro SD Card formatted for internal Memory on my Galaxy Tab S. Now the Card is damaged and i only have a Bootloop. In the Recovery Mode i can copy the Files from the SD to an OTG USB Stick. When i remove the SD i can normally start the tablet. (Without the Apps on the SD)
But my question is... can i restore it all back to another SD?
Can someone tell me the best way w/o any
I hope someone know it.

Possibly if you set the card up for internal storage first then copy what you need to it exactly how it was via recovery.

Hi,
the damage is to hard.... when i insert the Micro SD, the Tablet reboot in this moment.. i can´t change anything.

Damaged SD Card

I managed to get CyanogenMod 7 RC2 up and running. I noticed that I had a lot of junk on my SD card so I thought that I could back it up and then wipe it because most/all of the useful stuff was on the internal memory of the DHD. But, for some reason, my phone is telling me that my SD card is damaged.
I don't think that there is anything wrong with the SD card because I just did a copy/paste thing to back it up. Also, I've put in another SD card and it also says that it's damaged. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Run fix_permissions and reboot

Thanks for the reply, but I don't think I can do that. I can't put that on my SD card because there if I try to connect it with the computer, I can't mount the SD card or turn on the usb sharing thing. I'll be able to reformat the SD card soon because I'm borrowing a friend's micro sd card to sd card converter.
I tried Fix Permissions by going into recovery and advanced options, but that didn't work =/
Also, I remember now that I uninstalled "Goldcard Helper" because it said it was downloaded to my SD card so I thought that I could uninstall it and be able to clean up my SD card completely. Maybe that had some effect on this?
Got my friend's converter so now I can plug the micro SD directly into my computer. Oddly enough, it said I had to format it before I could use it which is essentially what my phone was telling me to do too.
I'll wipe it then see if it works
Perfect! I think it is working completely now! One last question of what I should do now that it's working. Can I plug it in, restore a few pictures I had, and just let Android take over from there? It's completely blank on the SD card so will Android know what to do with it?

[Q] Galaxy S3 and Computer don't see sd card

So i have a sandisk 32gb micro sd card im using in my galaxy s3. It has been working fine until this morning when my phone started saying sd card had been removed please enter a new one, or something like that. The sd card cannot be seen in TWRP or in any file manager. In recovery i tried to wipe the external card and it just says it cant mount the external card.
I would have thought this was a problem with my phone, but I also cannot see the card when i put it in my computer. Other sd cards work fine on my computer (i dont have another micro sd to test with) but my camera's sd card worked fine. Anyone have a solution? I would be willing to format my sd card, but i cant even access it anywhere.

I hate to say it, but it would seem that your SD card went tango uniform. If another card is being seen in the S III then it is down to that.

In Win7, plug your SDcard into the card reader.
Type diskmgmt.msc into search or run.
Do you see your messed up SDcard in there?
If yes, you can format it, name it etc.
If that fails, find an app online called Gparted. (needs to burn to a CD)
This app works at boot and has fixed my most stubborn drive issues.

[Q] Problem with my SD Card

Guys, this isn't a Galaxy W question, but one about my SD Card. I have and old 8GB that i use, but my phone goes to the Samsung to some battery fixes (isn't recharging anymore)... and then the phone comes back, it doesn't recognize it anymore the SD! I have one with 2GB that i'm using, so the problem is on the card.
My idea was i probably need to format him on another system file, like FAT32... but i connect to the PC, and that GT1850 thing appears, and even with the card on the phone connected (not connected, but put on the sd card phone space) the removable card isn't there.
Is this card broken? Can i format him in another way?
Thank you so much :good:

SD card bugged after upgrading to marshmallow

Hi, I recently upgraded to CM13 (Marshmallow) to have a look at the new features. One of those was the new SD card management. I decided to format my sd card and make it part of the internal memory but something went wrong and i ended up with a 15mb sd card (instead of it's original 16GB) that I can't reformat in any way. I downgraded back to lollipop hoping I could format the SD there and recover my lost memory space but I can't manage to do it. I tried with many root apps on play store for that purpouse but none of them worked. I think it's maybe because marshmallow encripts the sd card before formatting it but I dont know how to remove that encription.
Anyone has any idea of what can I do to solve this? Thanks.
Make a format on PC. You'll lost your data whatever, but I think it may help ? but the best way for you is to flash another rom. I think.
You have to recreate the partitions on your SD. If you have a USB adapter, you can just do it in your PC (via right click on Computer, Manage and Disk Management or fdisk in linux). If you don't have a USB adapter, you can try to recreate via TWRP (I never tested this).
Delete all partitions and create just one VFAT/NTFS/exFAT
The problem is that I dont have a usb adapter or card reader and if i plug it via phone it doesnt detect it as mass storage so i can't format from there.
Go ahead and buy a USB Card Reader they are super cheap and handy.

Lenovo P2 Upgrade SD card from 32 to 64 GB

My existing SD card is running out of capacity, so im trying to insert a 64Gb card into the phone. When trying to clone the this card in my laptop, i keep getting the message to format the card. Which obviously i don't want to do. The card works fine in the phone so i don't suspect a faulty card. If i plug the phone into the laptop the card is visible, and i can copy the files, and transfer them to my 64Gb card but then this is not usable on the phone. What is the procedure for upgrading the SD card in the Lenovo P2.
My observations lead me to believe that the formatting of the P2 is not compatible with windows 10.
any help much appreciated.
Regards

Copy the files from the previous SD card to your computer by using the USB cable to connect the phone. Then do the same to copy to the new card.
It sounds like your SD card is formatted as internal memory rather than portable.
When you put in your new SD it will ask how you want to use it. Choose portable and copy your files over.
