Develop Bugs

Would this help any dev or no?

So i have an evo that i am sending back because i got my replacement.. So i dont care if it gets unrooted in the process...

I should be able to manually update my phone to froyo....
If someone could walk me through how to get the image and files off the phone and post i would be more than happy too (if that would help anyone.. i just dont know)

How is this the wrong forum? He's asking the developers if his downloading Froyo, extracting it, and sending it to them would be a help to their development of Froyo-based ROMs.

I swear to God 80% of all posts on XDA are people replying to other people, telling them they are posting on the wrong forum (without even telling them where they 'should' be posting) Very Hilarious but also far far more annoying then the supposed misplaced post itself. p.s. please reply to this telling me I'm posting in the wrong forum, it will make my day.

[FLAMEOFF]In basic terms, This is a Question. There is a forum for Questions/Answers. This forum is mainly for Releases of development and testing of ROM's, Modifications, etc. You guys don't think devs check the Q&A, but they do...[/FLAMEOFF]

I wouldn't be too surprised. Drumdude has 3 posts, all of which are just to talk down to other members.

Welcome to XDA. Please notice the nice place set up for questions like this, conveniently labeled "Q/A." See all the question marks there? It's for questions, just like this! The devs read that forum too! Now take a look around this subforum. Notice threads with content, downloads, changelogs - in essence, development.

Hey, it's ok. Half of the members finally started going through puberty, and their formerly carefree tween personalities have been beset by emotional volatility and hormonal fluctuations. Most of them are probably confused, wondering what those hairs are for.

Ok first drumdude are you a moderator? Have you done any development ever? Do you post anything other then nasty remarks? If I were a moderator I would ban hammer you not the person offering to help.
Seriously people just because you have anonymity behind your user name doesn't give you the right to be rude. Stop jumping on a post and yelling at the poster, if the moderators have a problem they will move the post you are not the police and all you are doing in potentially scaring off help!!! Which correct me if I'm wrong a development forum is DEPENDENT on.
I for one have been taken aback and offended by some of the blatant rudeness on this forum.
We never know who is new or who is posting something. What if a HTC dev was posting a question with the intent to leak info to us and you blasted him like this? Do you think he would want to help after that? Or what if someone who was posting a question also happened to be at HTC legal and got pissed enough to force all our nice developers to stop using anything HTC with a cease order (which they can legally do whenever they want) all because of some rude poster.
Please people be responsible and think before you speak the world and this forum will be better for it.

First of all.. anyone that has less than 20 posts telling me that this is the wrong forum is.. well.. DUMB... (even if you have more than that, this still applies)
ITS A SPECIFIC DEVELOPER RELATED QUESTION AND I WAS TRYING TO HELP OUT THE COMMUNITY IF POSSIBLE..

Before posting a question about it, I would suggest checking out the results of a search for "Hyundai A7 tablet" and read for a bit first. You might find the answer to your question and learn a few extra things on the way. Good Luck!

Thanks for your answer but I did that before creating this topic. All that I found is related with android development and I'm not searching for a new ROM so... That's why I asked this here, because I don't know what is the best forum to post my question.

Maybe you will have to search for a Debian/Linux forum outside xda.
Or just start a new thread for this topic in xda ... somewhere near the thread the mf2112 posted before.

What exactly does the 10-post threshold get you?

I've seen in various places mention of the 10-post threshhold, and scattered mentions of various things you can't do before that point, but I haven't found a definitive list of what happens when you are upgraded from "Junior Member" to--what?--"Regular Member"?
If there is already such a list, can anyone provide a link?
All I've found so far is the list in post 17981993, but
it appears to be incomplete.
Some of the things I've heard of/am hoping for:
signature
post links
post in dev forums
post without captcha
thanks button
No 5-minute waiting period between posts
edit posts (apparently not an issue)
Also useful is a list of things that the 10-post threshold doesn't get you that you might have been hoping for/expecting.

And that's why Q&A section is meant for. Development Threads were solely not intended for addressing issues, but help with development ie, helping to fix errors. But now, majority of them just posts what's not working a 100 times, even if its a beta build.

Alright I have posted my issue in the Q&A section. But really if there is a specific issue with a rom wouldn't I want to get the devs attention ASAP. I can't imagine rom devs are watching every thread in the Q&A section specific to their rom.

Maybe it has been asked, but I have searched and found almost no info on the subject. Not everyone can post in the developer section and this is a general question. I don't appreciate my thread being closed because you feel that its a stupid question. My whole point is that now that the S4 is out and has 4.2.2 with TW the devs may have a more solid foundation with similar hardware to bring us all of this. My hope is that a dev will shed light on the likelihood and ease of this happening. Don't be a rude ass mrevankyle, if you don't have a helpful answer then obviously it was not geared towards you.
So I'll ask again, can any devs shed light on the likelihood of this now that its been fully released and you've had chances to look at the code?

Sorry it wasn't meant to be rude i just know a lot of us are getting fed up with this continually being posted. Honestly only the devs know if it is coming so there is no point in continually asking for it

I could easily just go somewhere else to post, in any thread that interested me. So no I wasn't using it as a way to get to 10, I was simply stating my case. The manner in which it was closed was not appreciated.

Hi and welcome to XDA. Unfortunately you've posted in the wrong section, XDA is divided into sections for each device and this is the OnePlus One section. I'm going to get one of my colleagues to move this thread into the Note 8.0 section for you so that other people with the same device can help you out.
