Daydream on 7.1.1 official release? - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

I had to hack my 7.0 version on OnePlus 3 to get daydream working before. I have now upgraded to 7.1.1 because beta 12 had it baked in. But now that I'm on the official release of 7.1.1 I'm getting the message that my device is not compatible with daydream.
Am I missing something?

Has anyone gotten DayDream to work on the official release of 7.1.1 for the OnePlus 3 without modifications?

Only works on beta 12.

What the heck!?! Do you or anyone know if flashing beta 12 over the release would cause any problems. I'm going to do it right now anyways but thought I'd ask.

Have you tried installing daydream apk from Apkmirror
I think I read it somewhere that it is working just play store is showing it is not compatible

It works flawlessly, I did this myself ONLY using stock recovery. Just wipe cache after and your good to go.

What are you using: OOS 4.0.1 or OOS Beta 10?

I have 4.0.1, but I'm currently thinking about flashing OOS OB10...
I am using open beta10 it is pretty stable for me and I don't wanna flash oos 4.0 cause I want to have Android 7.1.1 as open beta 11. Fingers crossed

Me too running 4.0.1. Stable enough. May be tomorrow we will get 4.0.2 too. But me also thinking to flash OB10 or H2OS January 17nth build. For me both are much better than Official N.

We can sideload it using TWRP? Coming from custom ROM?
And now 7.1.1 Beta is here for the Robin as well ?

Hi,
I have the original rom 6.0.1 but it is unlocked with TWRP..., notification appeared to update to Nougat and the system restarted and went to TWRP.
Can I install over the current rom the file I just download via TWRP? (https://android.googleapis.com/packa...3e21e543c0.zip)
Thanks

AFAIK, you could NOT do it with custom recovery. It will brick your device.
Official download link/instructions @ razer's site now. h ttps://insider.razerzone.com/index.php?threads/robin-factory-images-and-usb-driver.21487/
This update has been really bad on all of my Robins. I've taken them all back to the last 6 build.
My issues experienced on four different robins:
Would not connect to LTE.
Random reboots.
Freezing and then reboots.
Phones would get extremely hot.

If this is true then I will not do the update (Nougat) until I check more reports about the same or the opposite.
I'll wait...!
I've been running the Nougat beta without issues for the last couple months. Now I'm on official 7.1.1 Beta and it's quite nice. No random reboots, no issue with LTE on T-mobile. Heat and the Snapdragon 808 basically go hand in hand though lol. I'm running Ghostpepper Interactive CPU profile and everything is even smoothier than stock lol.

I've only had my Robin for a few weeks, but I've definitely noticed 7.0 being buggy (at least in comparison to my previous Nexus 6P...) Glad to read about a beta for the Robin though. I may take a look at that before resorting to flashing a ROM like Lineage.

Beta builds are also buggy and laggy.
Lineage builds are buggy as hell and no longer maintained until the bugs are fixed.
I can recommend Omni.

Today I have received an update from Nextbit from Anroid 7.0 to Android 7.1.1 (I am not on beta channels or custom roms). Size was 540-560 MB. I did not notice change logs as I was excited to see the update suddenly. Android Security patch: April 2017

Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite | MIUI Global Beta gets Pie!

Hello! i have Good News, People in the MIUI Global Beta Program are getting Android 9.0 Pie!
What I have noticed currently:
The Space Between the Apps and Notch has disappeared.
The "Hide-Notch" Feature doesn't use the Notch Area as a Status Bar Area Anymore now, It now completely hides the notch, only leaving the LCD Backlight.
Camera2API is still not supported.
Cool! Is it faster or has battery improvements if you noticed anything by now?

Is there an estimated release date available?
Global Beta is available officially if you want it now, as for the Stable i'm not sure when it will be released
I was really disappointed seeing Redmi Note 7 coming with Camera2 Api enabled and the 8 Lite still with it disabled. There is no excuses for that.

It has only been a day of using it, i have not seen if it has better Battery Life, the performance seems to be the same as the phone on Oreo.

Yeah, it really does suck, they didn't even enable some Camera2API features, just none of it.

If rooted, it is easy enough to add to the system/build.prop. Sure it is a PiTA, but once added, it works well. Saving in RAW mode was pretty important to me which made rooting my device well worth it. I will wait for the official release version, or an ASOP ROM when one becomes available.

Can it be installed with the "local update" method (from the Global Oreo based release) or it must be installed withc "fast boot" udpate method?

You mean stable to beta ROM?
Probably you will need to install 9.1.17 Oreo beta and then update to 9.2.15 Pie. It'll erase your data but that's it. You can do it with MIUI installer without trouble.
Any links???

Some users probably experienced older one+ devices having the betas every 2 weeks. Like the one+7p. I remember the betas was every 2 weeks.
Otw
Really strange that the update to the open beta 2 has not yet been released, it seems to me that well over a month has passed.
