Hi, I'm having a problem with my N5X, I bought it recently and I recently noticed that the system occupies 18.45GB in stock, now installing pure nexus still appears the same and the computer says I have 10GB of internal storage, but it is The 32gb version ... Has anyone had this problem or know how to solve it?
From now on thank you very much and sorry for my english xD

I already did a hard reset, install pure nexus, install 7.1.1 clean and 6.0.1 clean with Nexus Root Toolkit and still not appear all the space, you think that if I ignore I can use more storage than it appears?

probably not, but, it just sounds like the partition is oversized. Not sure how to fix it.
So either install factory image from Google (it makes partitions again AFAIK) or wipe everything in recovery and clean install.
Maybe flashing TOT file will help?

Use the guide to install a .tot ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-5x/help/req-help-to-unbrick-t3251740 ) but that only achieves that it is in the logo of google, after all the night I get it to go back again but still it continues with the same problem of the size that has the system partition u.u some other idea? I do not know how to do resize with TWRP if someone can pass me a guide or teach me thank you

I was gifted an S3 with known issues(primarily battery and speed related). I backed it up and then performed a factory reset from settings. The sucker has yet to boot past the second samsung screen. I tried ODIN &it did not take. I can access recovery and download mode tho.

Odin might not have recognized it because it may be missing correct drivers. so download kies and get the drivers from that.

I just finished ODIN again
The result was a pass and it took 10 minutes to flash... How long does it usually take to reboot into Android after the flash?.... it has already been 6 minutes
Give it at least 10 min. If it's still hanging at boot, factory reset.

Yes, here is the link for a TWRP (custom recovery) flashable. Please note this is not the very latest TWRP. The latest version's link is failing to download as of this post. You can put that .tar file on ODIN's PDA section and flash away. Once inside, select Wipe, then Advanced Format and proceed to wipe clean the device as in selecting /data, /cache, /system, Dalvik Cache and Internal Memory (internal SD). Why the internal SD? Because sometimes the device requires a full factory reset in order to begin working again (or just select Format Data option and write yes). From there try to reset to Download Mode and try flashing your device model's latest ODIN image by putting it on the PDA section. (for example, model T999 latest is named "T999UVUENC2_T999TMBENC2_T999UVUENC2_HOME.tar.md5")
Thank you so much!

Running a whole ROM? Not as far as I know. I haven't seen anything like that in the S3 forums. You said you tried with ODIN, with the correct drivers and it still doesn't pick it up. Plus partition errors at TWRP. Hmm.. @DocHoliday77 what do you think? Does this sound like a hardware problem?

That's a very personal decision. For example, I prefer phones with removable batteries, so both Samsung and LG fit the bill but both are slow with official updates. In the end, all manufacturers have their ups and downs. It's all up to you. I'm also thinking on the Nexus 5 but only because it's easy to open up and replace the battery (watching the ifixit teardown page).
here's a whole thread on opinions. might be useful.

Hi i'm in the same situation, i cleared my internal storage, how did you sent the backup file without access into android?
Is there a way to push the file from twrp? bootloader or stock recovery?
Thanks in advance.

Anyone else succeeded with these backup?

Same problem – wifi don't work. It's boot okay one time, but hangs after turning on wifi. After that i have bootloop (shows "launch applications" notify and reboot). Looks like radio problem. In fastboot mode Baseband shows nothing.
Check Baseband on your phone. I think problem is in radio, that It's not backed up with TWRP.
I got a problem. I rooted my device, used TWRP in read only mode.(So I still got Stock Recovery)
Now I want to update from 3.1.3 to 3.2.1 but as soon as i want to flash them via TWRP it lists all my files in /, but nothing more. It looks like the internal storage disappeared. It also writes I got 0MB in Internal and USB Storage.
My Phone works fine, no problems at all.
The Folder /sdcard is empty, emulated/0 doesnt exist. Also /data is empty.
How do I fix this?
Adb side load (in stock recovery) the full 3.2.1 zip, wipe cache, fastboot flash twrp and flash root.
Fastboot flash stock recovery again (if you really need it) then boot.
No data will be lost.
In case youre wondering, going forward the stock zip files (ota included) are twrp flash able and don't wipe data. Just make sure to wipe cache after you flash them then re root.

Unless you formatted the device, I don't think you have a problem. I think twrp was not able to mount the internal storage the way you were using it. You should use a PC in case there are problems.
Edit: Yes full zip. You "might" be able to use the ota zip but if you already have the full zip just use that.

Good Afternoon.
A question for you guys, every time i try to wipe my current rom and flash another custom rom, or an update to the current rom on my begonia (with cfw installed), my damn internal storage gets encrypted, so ive got no choice but to format it, or else i can't access it, which is a major pain...
Do you guys know of a way to prevent this??
I'm running twrp recovery with cfw support.
And am pretty sure i'm not f-ing up with the rom installation instructions...

Hi, If you setup the lockscreen on your ROM you will encrypt the internal storage and TWRP will ask you the password to decrypt it.
If u remove the lockscreen before entering recovery you won't have to decrypt the internal storage.
Thanks but some kind souls on discord helped me out, using a disable encryption zip fixed it.
