After I flashed to android 4.4.4 the left side of the touchscreen appears dead.
But I am able to get to the apps as the touch screen is condensed on the right side. For example, I have to press near the "J" key to type an "A"
So it seems like the whole touch responsiveness is compacted to the right side of the screen. Top to bottom appears correct.
When I enter 'hcttouch' for factory password, I get 2066x600
I have a 1024x600 and I flashed using a 1024x600 img.
MTCC-KLD6-2.97
Any ideas how to resolve this?
Working again...
I ended up installing
Booroondook FUSE Xposed Rooted 1024x600
and everything appears to be working.
Not sure why the screen stopped working with the other images.

Hi,
while listening to mp3s having my MDAIII in the inner pocket of my jacket the device hung up.
After a reset the rom list on the boot screen was empty. Anticipating something bad I resetted the device again immediately.
Now the rom versions were present and the device booted normally.
Trying to enter the pin code I noticed the not working touch screen.
Using the keyboard I was able to enter the pin. The device seemed to work perfect, except:
* not working touch screen
* not working phone buttons
* some remapped keyboard keys
Hoping the best I installed explode's BA_WM5_AKU3.5_R3. Everything was fine until the WM initialization came up...
... Tap the touch screen .... FCUK!
So I can't do anything with my beloved device.
Any hints or help appreciated!
I have the exact wierd problem.... Its like the screen is miss-alligned (rotated by 90 degrees)... The start button instead of being in the top left corner, its in the top right corner.... The ok button instead of being in the top right corner, its in the bottom right corner.... etc etc...
Anybody can help?
Thanks

Removed the battery over night ...
... after reloading next day - everything was fine.
Hello, so...
I got this phone and because of broken screen Ive changed the glass part with digitizer. Now the digitizer is acting... weird. Like the screen is divided horizontaly and the upper part is changed with the bottom one and its also mirrored. When I pres down left corner, the dot of touch appears at the top right etc. Is this because I somehow f**ked up the flex cabels or can this be recalebrated? Ive tried to disassemble and connect it again and also resetting the phone to default and then flashing whole rom again but nothing helped. Any ideas?
When i press the bottom left side of the phone or just touch screen near the return button , strange things happen to touchscreen, it starts to click all over the left side of screen, i tried to look at the screen connectors but they look fine.
Hello all,
My Joying HE is starting to lose sensitivity in the touch screen. The bottom and top edges aren't working anymore, just the middle of the screen works. I can't touch anything that is at the top or bottom of the screen.
Is it posible to solve the issue without replacing it?
Thanks

What does the reseller suggest if unable to find related solutions here?
It started with it being hard to press 1,q etc keys on keyboard. When I enter developer settings and enable pointer location ,I realise it doesn't register at least hundred pixels on entire left and right sides of screen. Quite annoying. My gf phone is slowly going that way also.. any ideas apart from replace screen or phone? Also around entire edges of phone it looks like screen is delaminating,i.e. a lines and checkers pattern shows....
I have the same problem. It started with a crack, when the phone was bent too much (see picture).
But the unresponsive left edge started later, after I had fixed the phone in a car cradle. Probably the cradle held the phone too hard.
I noticed it because I was using gesture navigation and I couldn't use the back gesture when swiping from the left side. The right side still works in general, but in some apps I have a problem on the top right edge with the 3 button menu button.
You can check your touchscreen in the hardware test menu (*#*#6484#*#*) with test 8 Touchpanel edge.
Also test 7 ITO fails for my device.
Sorry, I have no advice for your problem.
My personal solution for this problem is: I will dump this device, which had hardware problems right from the start (like bluetooth disturbing WLAN) and lots of software bugs, which Xiaomi is not willing to fix. Instead a Pixel 4a will be my daily driver in a few weeks.
My problems also started after bending the entire phone.. was looking at replacement lcd and frames but in reviews they seem to not have proximity sensor..maybe just get a new phone and have this as backup..
