Hello Shadows, I deleted my system on a Kindle Fire first-generation. I have installed TWRP 2.2.2.1, and it works. But I can not transfer anything to him. No rom, stock or modified like Cyanogen. When you plug in your computer, it does not recognize or open the tablet to transfer files. And when I plugged the OTG cable, nothing happens.
Please, can you help me?

Hello! I know it's been a long time, but I ended up having some problems in these two years. Could you help me yet?
I continue with the first generation KF. With TWRP 2.2.2.1, I saw your video and installed the drivers, but I use Windows 10, and apparently does not recognize it. When I enter recovery, and select to mount the SDCARD, nothing appears on the computer.

Hello all,
I had a Kindle Fire 1st gen lying around in my house and I decided that I would get android on it. I downloaded kfu and pressed 2 and enter. It did its stuff but then I thought it was stuck. I stupidly unpluged my kindle and now It is stuck on the stock orange kindle fire logo. I plugged the kindle into the computer and device manager told me it was an unidentified device. People told me to buy a factory cable so I did. I plugged the charged kindle into the computer with the factory cable and nothing happened to the kindle. Then I check device manager. It said that a kindle was plugged in but the drivers were not working. Please help me.

I did install the drivers and had to manually change the kindle to the kindle fire drivers. Under kindle fire now there is a android composite adb interface with a screen picture next to it. There was an ! on that so I double clicked it. The device is working properly. The kindle fire i still stuck on the kindle fire stock orange logo. By the way thanks for responding to my thread I really appreciate it.

you installed FFF and TWRP, rebooted, and stock rom booted normally? If so must of been stuck in Fastboot mode.

Ok. thanks again I did install the rom. If I need anymore help I will ask you on your youtube channel or post to this thread.
Hi. I had been rooting my KF1 since I had the guts to do it. Anyway, in a couple of years we always update it. So yeah, I had my KF factory reset just this year because no one answered my question about how to install a new ROM when you already have your KF rooted. So I was back to zero and did the same process, everything was a success. Now, I don't want to go through the same process because I don't have the PC I used to install the KFU before. And my PC is running on Windows 8 and I've read there are problems in installing KFU on Windows 8.
The main question is, is it necessary to update my TWRP to the latest version? I don't have a Windows 7 PC. I just want to install a new ROM (Kitkat) and gapps since my Google Apps has been crashing already. My KF1 is currently running on Jellybean.
Thanks for your immediate reply!
You need twrp 2.7.x to flash KitKat. There is a zip file available to flash in an existing twrp. Then you can download kk and flash it.

You will need a Fastboot Cable see

So basically I use the fastboot cable and somehow that will launch TWRP which I never had. And it will allow me to flash a ROM to get it working again

The fastboot cable forces the kindle into fastboot mode, where twrp and fff (custom bootloader) can be flashed.
once you have twrp, you can reinstall stock or install a custom rom
Ok so the fastboot cable allows the kindle access to twrp and once I have that how do I install a new ROM I really want Android (4.4 or up)

the Fastboot cable allows you to flash Twrp/fff.
You don't need the cable to access twrp
Pick a rom from the Index, download it to a pc, connect kindle,
In twrp select Mount>check storage/sd card>mount usb
copy rom file to Kindle
But where do I get TWRP is it like preinstalled on the kindle

Ok i have a fastboot cable and I have adb and fastboot installed and the terminal is set up but the mac is not reading my kindle as a device. So what can I do? Please help.
I have an original kindle fire that I had rooted a while back, installed TWRP (version 2.5), and a custom ROM and everything worked fine. Yesterday I was messing around with the tablet and with TWRP I used the advanced option to wipe all the partitions of the device. I realize now, that I should have never done that. I've tried using the Kindle Fire Utility to update TWRP, but it always get stuck at activating fastboot. I'm able to mount the tablet to my computer and I have tried to install different ROMs using TWRP, but there is always an error during the installation process. I've tried to search for answers and have tried many options, but at this point I'm not sure what to do. I can't find any TWRP backups, is there an option to download a stock TWRP backup package so that I can use it to restore the tablet?
I just want the ability to install another custom ROM without any errors. Thank you for your help

and [fastboot] stock 6.2.1 fastboot mode without rooting or cables by pokey9000
For some odd reason, when I use kindle fire utility and install drivers, it gives me this error
Google, Inc. (WinUSB) AndroidUsbDeviceClass (12/06/2010 4.0.0000.00000) Install Failed
And now I cannot add TWRP to my kindle fire. Here's some information:
OS: Windows 10 Pro Edition x64
Kindle Fire Gen: 1st
KFU Version: 0.9.9
Please help!

Thanks but now I got more problems in which my kindle fire got STUCK at the boot logo (I found out it's actually a boot loop) because I found a way to get twrp with flashify but then I restarted boot loader (or whatever it's called) and now its stuck here. I tried different tutorials like rebooting it and plugging it in then rebooting but none of them worked. Even launching KFU found no kindle fire plugged in.

if system version was 6.3.3 or 6.3.4 I don't think it's fixable without a fastboot cable
if it was an older version, the unbrick utility might work
Crap
