Hello all,
I have a VZW Note 4 but on T-Mobile network. Any idea how I can go about getting 7.1.1 installed? I am currently on 6.0.1
Sorry for the repeat question.

You might want to check out the T-Mobile forums. I'll attach the link for you.

Nothing there that would help me get my VZW Note 4 (on T-Mobile network) updated to 7.1.1. At least nothing that I could find.
Thanks for the help though.
Check out resurrection. The developers name is the broken. It's in the t mobile forums and it says it's nougat. Hope that helps. I ran one of his older Roms and it was very stable. Hope that helps

Here's the link to his ROM

I would also ask @thebroken what you need to do to get it working since yours is the Verizon variant but you want to run it on TMobile
And also hsbadr's EmotionOS will work T-Mobile. Link below.

Follow this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/no...t/howto-bootloader-unlock-upgrade-to-t3398144 but instead of doing the "Flash MM Safe Upgrade, JasmineROM v6.0, CM13 or any MM ROM" step install https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-verizon/development/emotionos-t3528639 or https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-verizon/development/lineageos-t3557795

Hi.when t mobile g3(d851) gets official mm update?anybody knows?
You can track the progress on the t-mobile site. Right now its in the first of 3 phases so it could be several months before we get it. We may get lucky and get it earlier but only time will tell.
isn t there any marshmallow stock rom port of other version like cloudyg3 does, one stock rom for all variants, so we can have it earlier and optimized ?

You can try this ROM here... before you jump at it and start flashing away though, bare in mind that there are still bugs. Major ones for the D851 specifically include BT and video recording. I've flashed it and using it as my daily driver but if those features are essential to you I would recommend sticking to cloudy for now

You are already being helped on another thread, so I am going to consider this done.
By the way, under our names is a "Thanks" button. Feel free to click that if someone helps you.
Going to close this thread since you're being helped elsewhere. No need to have the same discussion in 2 different places.
Hello Everyone,
I have a unlocked AT&T Note4 which I purchased manufacture refurbished from eBay.
I have been trying to update my Note4 using OTA, but I am still 5.0.1 and N910AUCU2COC5 version.
When I click 'Software updates' button, "Current software is up to date" is displayed.
Is it something because my phone is unlocked?
Please help me to update my phone to marshmallow.
Thank you guys!
J
Well I guess what you can do is update the phone via the marshmallow instructions in the general section of the at&t note 4 forum. Just Odin to DOI2 and use the incremental updates(DOI3,DOI4,etc) to get yourself to official marshmallow.

But what is official MM? I see multiple versions floating around and I don't know what the difference between them are. I'm on DOI7 right now and there's like an EPH5, EPG7, and I think there was one other but I can't seem to find it.

EPH5 should be official. There's a package that updates from DOI7 to EPH5 if I remember correctly.
Hey guys, I saw a thread a while back and I can't find it now but it was a method to get AOSP onto the VZW HTC 10. It involved adding some files into the radio or firmware or something along those lines. If anyone could point me to that thread or a tutorial on getting AOSP on my VZW 10 that would be awesome. Thanks!

You no longer have to do this. I fixed earlier this week. Just flash it!

S-off is needed if have a Verizon 10, it's the only way of flashing anything on it as Verizon disables bootloader unlocking by default on their devices.
But even sprint says have to be soff and do a firmware with no radio then u can use aosp I'm on sprint I just say that every aosp for spr and vzw need soff

This was fixed just a few days ago, see post #5 above. @tabp0le found a solution for the firmware problem affecting Sprint/Verizon users. S-off/modified firmware is no longer required. All ROMs built after April 28 should boot for all users thanks to https://review.lineageos.org/#/c/170030/

Hey friends!
These are only for the unlocked Surface Duo. I am sorry At&t users.
Here is the OTA link for Android 11:

Cheers
I just rooted the new android 11 update.
The only difference from android 10 is you should now use the newest magisk v23 rather than the older one
I followed this guide exactly except skipped all the magisk workaround stuff and just used the latest version of the magisk app to patch the boot.img

To be honest with you, I don't know if this will work for At&t, it might but I don't have the at&t model so I cannot verify for you. You can try flashing via adb sideload in recovery and see but non of us are responsible if things don't work lol

Lol yeah I know the drill around these parts. I just did a quick internet search and the update is ONLY for the unlocked models according to what I read. I guess I'll be waiting for the time being

It's late where I am, but tomorrow I may just try it and see if it will work. I'll read some more about it tonight and if I take the dive tomorrow I will report back to let others know.

After a bit of experimentation I managed to get it to work. Although you can't just `add sideload` it since the verification will fail. You'll have to unlock the bootloader and dd some partitions manually. Then once it thinks it's the global variant you can `add sideload`. I made a thread about it https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/turn-at-t-into-a-the-global-variant.4393631/
