Any actual benefits going from 7.1.1 to 7.1.2. I heard battery life is better and performance is much improved?

It adds the fingerprint gesture to drag down the notification shade. That's about it, beta software still a month or two away from release though.

Ok thanks
The Lollipop Roms in general are pretty rough on your battery compared to the KK Roms.
I'm liking cm remix with trickster mod

Hey luckymoney did you have a chance to check out some note 4 roms?
If so what was the best in your opinion?
I get pretty good battery life with Hybrid 3.0
no complaints so far and pretty fast with alot of mods.

when you say pretty good, what does that means? 8-10hrs with normal use or 1day+?
Thanks

pretty good meaning 4 to 5 hours of screen on time and about 8 to 9 hours of use
and far as light use yes i can last the whole day but Android 5+ was always a battery hog
i honestly miss my note 3 with 4.4.2 but no going back
After HTC released the sprint update for the M9 for 5.1, numerous developers ported it for their roms.
To anyone who has been using the 5.1 roms lately and for a prolonged time - how did it change for you?
5.0 is pretty bad for me (even though I have Greenify and PowerNap running) and I barely make it through the day.
Does it change a lot for you?
Has not improved in my opinion..
May take a while

Going from 5.0 to 5.1 should net some improvement. If you are already on 5.1 using the 2.7 version, going to 2.8 most likely won't net any noticeable difference.

IMHO, same to worse thus far. I'm giving it 2 days to settle down and running it from 100->0 -->100-->0% twice, just for good measure.

Running a battery to 0 has no effect on it's performance anymore.
I've been testing the beta Cyanogenmod build, which is built on CM12.1, Android 5.1.1.
(I'm also still on 1.32 firmware)
It isn't a Sense rom so I can't directly compare, but the battery seems MUCH better. I haven't had a chance to test for a good SOT, but even idle battery drain is drastically improved.
Noticed improvement on 2.8 based rom on 2.8 fw. But only 2 of them out ATM.

OOS is pretty stable and the battery is good. But, I don't like OOS.
I've tried to use the stable CM 13 from Aug. but the touchscreen freezes regularly. The nightly also has problems such as never re-connecting to wifi.
Thoughts?
IMO a custom kernel with some tweaks can do a great job. Light underclocking using different governors etc.

NucleaROM and I'll tell you why.
Responsive devs.
The best battery life of all ROM's by far.
Stable.
OOS camera port.
sultan's CM-rom is really solid, but i prefer OOS for the camera and performance
OrionOS. AOSP, latest security patches, Lots of customization.

Have you compared the same scenes? I noticed that without OOS the camera can have terrible noise and "muddy" details. Even on sultanxda CM.

I'd love to see some low-light comparisons, since that's where OOS far exceeds other roms with or without the port.

Yeah, seems to be an app port but I don't think you're getting the same quality as OOS. Hopefully oneplus will help get this working for those of us who prefer CM roms ?

Haven't tried the port, but I tried so many CM roms and the difference is so noticeable that I had to switch back to OOS because of it.

Of course, the CM roms camera is terrible.. but the OOS port is not. I take high quality photos daily.

Same build as you, no freezes and decent battery life here. Maybe you should investigate some of the apps you have installed ?

Yeah, just uninstalled xposed. Will report back if the issue persists. By the way are there any stable ROMs for ether?
Sent from my ONE E1003 using Tapatalk
You should read on the latest pages of the ROM threads.
I mean omni looks pretty cool. Thinking about switching over this weekend
Your issues might not be ROM related, there are a lot of app issues and inter-app compatibility issues that will cause those symptoms. I would say to Backup and Factory Reset, then load your apps one-at-a-time until you have the lockups/freezing.

Seems like PA is the most stable right now with 6.0.3. Or you could apply for the beta build of Nougat

There's Dirty Unicorns 6.0.1. Stable
I used CyanogenMod from the day I got my Robin then its Lineage OS continuation until a couple weeks ago. Both performance and battery life are way better on Omni.

Yeah, Omni is great. Running the latest 7.1.2 build and it feels like a new phone
Hey all,
I think it has been since the 10.0.6 or 10.0.7 update that my battery has almost 2 hours less runtime in everyday life. After I described the current situation to the support and sent them screenshots from Better Battery Stats, I have received no response until today.
Resetting via the settings or via recovery did not help.
I'm currently on Beta 2, but nothing has really changed since all the updates. I also reset my cell phone in between or just deleted the cache.
It is striking that WLAN uses a lot of battery
Maybe someone can help me or had the same situation.
Thanks :good:
Yes, I was getting tremendous battery life in Stable version but after coming to Beta my phone's battery life worsened. I think i have to wait for the next beta to come.
I'm using Beta 2 with Arters Kernel and I'm happy with the result.
