Are there any plans to support Redmi lineup? In particular Redmi 4. I think it's a good idea, because phones are very pupulyarny.

Hi guys,
I'm thinking about buying this phone, but I need to know whether redmi 1s supports OpenGL ES 3.0?
Also I am considering Redmi 2 (and Redmi note 4G), but unfortunately Xiaomi has disclosed the source code and support by community is also small.

As redmi note 4 got project treble support unofficially is it possible to do the same with redmi note 5.
As both are having the same hardware..

Okk! :fingers-crossed: Hope that it will happen sooner! Can't wait! Want to see pixel treble rom on full view screen of note 5!
Hi friends,
I want to know that, Redmi note 5 pro is still worth to buy, and if not then which phone is better under 15k.
My needs by ranking:
1. Performance
2. Battery Backup
3. Camera
I have seen multiple comparisons between several phones at this price range but didn't find any better, also as i am an android developer i think future development will be better with note 5 pro what do you think?
1. Pocophone F1 (it's really as good as it is)
2. Redmi note 5 pro (the mod support is too good)

Redmi Note 5 Pro still worth because it has gained a lot of Custom Rom and developers support.
But if Nokia's lineup(5.1, 6.1) or Mi A2 price drops then they worth Buying. I also see Infinix brand came with Android One. If you love Stock android then you might also try Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1.
I currently have the budget to buy a phone in the prices of the Redmi Note 8 and the Redmi Note 9, I am really into custom roms and I'm currently leaning into buying the Redmi Note 8 just because of it. Will the Redmi Note 8 still be supported by the developers here in the long run or are a lot of them transitioning in buying the new Redmi Note?
In my experience the redmi line have developer support during several years. My last phone was a redmi 5 plus (vince) and even today there are quality custom roms available (but there are not many options anymore). I bought a RN 8 recently and I think it is still a good device, especially considering that RN9 has a mediatek processor and the development for that device is going to be harder. Sorry for my bad English btw.

appreciate it, my brother just bought a Redmi Note 9, I'm not really feeling the size of the phone, plus I don't think there's going to be much development because of the processor? I guess I'll just go with this, the roms with the RN8 seems pretty great.
Take into consideration that Xiaomi is really delaying updates for this phone, even Redmi note 7 got updates sooner.

I wonder if those few developers will give up on RN8P, too...

Re-posting since my previous post was nuked (rightfully so):
Only time will tell.
For now there's quite an amount of Custom ROMs available in Telegram (you'll have to search for those).

Considering current situation it looks like I will have to trust and start using Telegram anyway if I want to enjoy my phone...

There is some unfortunate news for owners of some of Xiaomi’s most popular and best-selling smartphones. Devices such as the Xiaomi Mi 9 and Redmi Note 8 Pro have appeared on a shortlist of products that are reaching their EOL.
