Photo tip 1: Ultra snapshot
Generally it takes three steps to take a photo — you have to unlock the screen, activate the camera, and then take a photo. This is the conventional way that we all know. Today I'm going to share with you a one-step way to take a photo. Here it is.

You will gain infinite possibilities when you are one step faster than the rest of the world! After setting this mode up, you don't have to unlock the screen when it's turned off. Just point the camera at your subject, and double press the volume down button. You'll be able to capture a memorable moment whenever and wherever.
Photo tip 2: Audio control
Want to take a photo but can't find someone to do it for you? It doesn't matter. Let your voice take the photo for you.

Point the camera at the subject and say 'cheese' loudly. The camera will take a photo automatically when it hears this command.
Photo tip 3: Capture smiles
Smiling always puts us in a good mood. A gentle smile is like all the flowers blooming together. How can we let such a beautiful moment pass by! Use the smile snapshot function to capture your beautiful smile! Activate your camera, and when the viewfinder detects a smile it will take a photo automatically.

Photo tip 4: Fingerprint snapshot
You can take a photo with your fingerprint. You don't need both hands to take a photo anymore. Activate your camera then touch and hold the fingerprint sensor to take a photo.

Ive changed the camera app for something that gives me really great satisfaction and photos are darn clearer and more simple compare of 3 step snapshot.....
when youre in a hurry well...
(The first camera app ive tried was Open Camera and was better than original camera app of huawei till i found Camera FV-5 2 days ago )
Photo app is : Camera FV-5
Video app is Cinema FV-5
the Lite version for both is free
The paid apps only gives more resolution for both... But must say im running both the lite version and theyre just GREAT

So I looked into all the buzz about the Camera Zoom FX app and the app is quite nice. (For those who think its ****, it was, it looked ugly but a recent update revamped it.)
I played around with stock and camera zoom fx apps and compared pics. The quality seems to be the same and Camera Zoom FX also has hardware support.
I have attached test shots at the end but heres what I concluded.
Use the Stock cam if you wanna take pictures quickly and dont have time. It starts up instantly and the UI is simple.
Use Camera Zoom FX if you have time to mess with the photo after taking it. The app opens slowly. Takes like 3 secs to open. And shooting pics takes around 4 secs cause it zooms after you hit the shutter. Its instant in the stock app.
What do you guys think? What apps do you use. I personally have never used 3rd part cam apps other than stock apps. Camera is a huge deal and thats the only reason why I havent switched to CM10. (If anyone can post comparison via a CM10 rom it'd be nice. I know I can always flash the ROM to check it.)
______________
Those who use Camera Zoom FX for filters. Get Vignette, its wayyy better.
If you use any other app and think its better, list it below too!

I think its easier to compare these pictures with : http://screenshotcomparison.com/comparison/156694
I can´t see any difference between those 2 pics.
I use this app a lot, u have to say it produces the highest quality time lapse files of any app that iv tried and iv tried many! The burst feature works great, really like this app, worth the money for sure. I cant tell between the two above photos either.
I use camera360 for instant effects.

Hello Guys...
I recently bought HTC ONE X and i love it, I saw that it has good camera and gives stunnig images
but after taking photos(espcially with flash) from my HOX i disappointed, Because it produces extra
brighness which makes the image look dull, even my older Xperia P gives better images.
I tried so many camera apps and tried to change the settings but also no result and i finally found a solution for this problem.
There are two methods one requires pc with ms office installed and second one on device with pixlr express installed.
Method 1:
1. After taking photos copy to pc and open with ms office picture manager.
2. Then click on auto correct, this option removes the extra brightness and gives the realastic image.
3. Then save the photo done.:good:
Method 2:
1. Install pixlr express from playstore which is free.
2. Open the captured image in pixlr express and select adjustment.
3. Then select auto fix and apply, after selecting this option the image will automatically adjusted and gives realastic image.
4. Then select on the save icon which is present on the right top corner > select gallery > orignal and done.:good:
5. Your image will be saved in pixlr express folder in gallery.
I have uploaded some images for proof:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

You can order a new glass on eBay and easily replace it by opening the hox case and push the old glass out!
You can either use the old tape to mount the new glass or order new tape along the lens.

Yes it will work well.
I've a problem with Camera and i want to know if it's for all G4 or for only my sample.
When i take photos with same setting (infinity manual focus), some time (most of all) they have blurry effect.
Two photos with same manual setting taken in the same moment:

Apparently they have same definition, but if i 100% crop:

Most of the photos i take have blurry effect, just some time they result perfect. The difference is more notable in landscape photos (with infinity focus) in the top left corner.
Do you have same problem?
up
You can't take pictures holding the camera and not encounter some movement, it's not physically possible and even with the OIS enabled that's just a stop-gap measure that does it's best to make sure the effects of slight jarring movement at the moment you press the button to take the picture are mitigated as much as possible.
tl;dr You're moving the camera if you're holding it, plain and simple.
Take pictures with the phone either set against something so you're not holding it and the phone is actually as steady as it can possibly be - use the voice command option to fire the shutter (turn it on and say "LG" or "Kimchi" or one of the other choices") so you don't have to manually touch the G4 at all to any degree whatsoever and then fire off a few shots and compare them.
The OIS isn't perfect and if you're timing a shot with a movement of the camera you're bound to get blurriness - the only absolutely sure way of getting steady crystal clear shots is shooting from a steady mount on a tripod or with the phone standing against a solid object and using the voice command to trigger the shutter.
OIS was reall invented to help as much as it can because most pics are taken while holding the camera and no human being is getting going to be able to be perfectly motionless in that respect. If you're holding the smartphone, period, in any position for any reason, you're moving it and your images will suffer because of it even with OIS working as well as it can.
Thanks for the answer, the problem is not the movement of the phone while shooting. I did several tests with tripodi and bluetooth remote control and the result did not change.
From various tests I've made I noticed that the problem only occurs when the focus is made with the tap on the display. Leaving focus continuos the possibility to take clear photo Is greater
Well, most of user who hear/buy this phone surely looking for something from it's camera setup. Including me.
After few months using it, my personal opinion is : The camera has great potential, but need right tuning during photo taking, or right tuning in post processing (by using RAW). Not really suitable for your point and shoot purpose. But well planned shot will give good result.
As for Video, this sensor is excellent for mood/ shallow DoF kind of Video.
Hopefully Sharp will improve it's camera app snapiness, and it's HDR consistency.
Attached is some of my personal shots using the camera. You can attach yours too, so that other user can use the thread for their reference when weighing their option towards the phone

i can test whether the apk is fully working though. It's bit quirky to do proper apk backup without root in modern android
Someone has also the camera apk of the Leitz Phone 1? Would like to test if it's working on the Aquos, because of the Leitz mode that is missing on the R6.
I have lietz phone but don't know about apk backup. Will provide if someone could tell how to extract apk.
