As we were waiting for a long time to get the unlock bootloader codes from Amazon for Fire Phone,but we see that after the phone was discontiniued,Amazon abondoned us in the middle without releasing the Bootloader unlocked codes..
But one of our genious developer @pipataki is succeeded in unlocking the Bootloader Codes
There is a thread in the general thread in which he was working on lollipop update and he succeeded in that as well, there he give us this great news about unlocking the bootloader codes he also said he will make a video of that very soon...So that means now stable custom roms can be made without any camera and other issue

No, they aren't fake, but they aren't show bootloader unlock, just hard reset and some commands from fastboot
I don't see how a factory reset, messing with safestrap and then rebooting again into fastboot to check status constitutes as a bootloader unlock.
No codes, no news, no unlock...no open thread.

Bootloaders can be unlocked usually by brute force method..... If the bootloader of defy is unlocked then its great news not only for defy users but for other moto users as it will help break the encryption of other phones.

A bootloader is different. Its the first thing that starts and it activates the kernel after checking and matching the kernel...like a security pass. Sorry if i am wrong but this is a general idea and i am not wellversed with this knowledge..

he is not going to unlock the bootloader.
the french gay just found an bug in the bootloader, it doesn't check the signature in some specific condition.
Quarx is going to use it to make the cm7 in the form of sbf.
this action doesn't means he can unlock the bootloader and do everything he wants.

Hi. As the title says. Please I need someone (any version) that had same version (LP) and had root first and pulled aboot without unlocking bootloader and after that an image of the same device, on same version with the unlocked bootloader.

dont know if it helps i got some other lg devices too some with unlockable bls. Others without
I unlocked my bootloader to try CM13, but I'm not happy. Now I can't find any guides or pages that explain how I can revert my phone back to original state (bootloader locked)? Can't sell this phone when the device unlocked text is on the boot screen
Plese don't respond if you just tell me to google or search, because I did that...

There is no way to lock to the bootloader again. Once unlocked it's unlocked for good.

As above.... its been well documented both by LG on their page and on here... its a one way trip... In fact, at each stage of the Unlock process doesnt LG warn you its irreversible

You can easily sell if the bootloader is unlocked btw, I've sold loads of devices with an unlocked bootloader.

Does and Unlocked Bootloader just affect DRM content and Can an Unlocked Bootloader take an OTA or work through LG bridge / LGUP?

Yep, DRM content is fine, I've not encountered anything that doesn't work.
I returned to stock with LGUP and took OTAs on my previous device when I did the warranty return and didn't have any issues.

Anybody there ever try or know how to relock bootloader?
It gives an error when you try doing it the normal way via fastboot oem lock.
Has anyone tried relocking by using third party apps (root) such as the Trickster Mod or tools like this one? It's a long shot, but an attempt nonetheless. I believe the Lenovo servers just register the request of unlocking, not the unlocking per se.

Yes 15 day wait is request for unlock, it's don't mean device is unlocked.
Only carry-in guys see is bootloader screen and boot unlocked logo.
When someone can relock, then can claim warranty as like of those who requested unlock but not unlocked yet..
Only thing is Normal fastboot locking dont work.

I'm really considering getting this device, my brother just got it and it seems great but, before I commit to it I want to make sure the bootloader is unlockable. Can anyone confirm that you can unlock the bootloader with the OEM unlock command?
BL is not unlockable at this time.
That's too bad hopefully that changes in the future. Either officially or unofficially.

Usually oem provided unlock codes are generated on a per device basis so doing this would be pointless. Basically you send a command to the device it gives you a number and you give than to the OEM and they give you another code to use with OEM unlock and mark your warranty void. Which is honestly probably illegal now (in the us at least) based on what the FCC had been doing lately. I mean them voiding your warranty like that is illegal. That's probably one of the reasons they would stop giving it codes.

Hopefully someone can find a free way to generate the codes but if not we'll see if this method works on this device and if it leads to it getting twrp and Lineage OS or other roms.

yes its unlockable you just have to pay $5 for the service. my question is why is there no twrp or root yet? I cant post the link to the unlock but you can do a google search.
Nokia havent relesed yet bootloader codes. If you buy one (its a tool that is like server and they have a guy in the nokia or maybe have hack nokia server and the send you your unlock.bin file) these is the commands that you need but first you must unlock the dev option and put on oem unlocking
install fastboot drivers for phone.
power off phone.
run
fastboot -i 0x2e04 flash unlock <signature file>
connect phone to cable
run
fastboot -i 0x2e04 oem unlock-go
follow instructions on phone display if any
if you are in android 7.1 and not updated ,there's a way ,through 9008 mode to unlock it.
if you already updated through ota, there's only paid way to unlock it till now.
