*FIXED* *IGNORE* Note 4 Verizon Stuck in Bootloop - Verizon Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys. I work at a cell phone repair shop and a customer came in with a boot looping Verizon Note 4. Recovery mode doesn't work but ODIN mode does. I have rooted and flashed firmware on countless other devices and I could use odin to flash firmware to this device as well. The customer doesn't want to lose their data and I know there are a few ways of flashing firmwares without losing data. The two firmwares I downloaded from AndroidFileHost do not seem to be of the "no-wipe" variety (the ones that allow you to choose the HOME_CSC or regular CSC). So that option seems out. I see the bootloader is unlocked and we can now flash TWRP. Is there any chance I can install TWRP and flash a system or boot image without wiping the data partition or performing a factory reset? Thanks all!
*Edit* - After failing to boot to recovery approximately 20 times or so it finally booted to recovery and I was able to wipe cache and that allowed it to boot. I knew it would be something simple but I don't know why it wouldn't boot to recovery for the longest time and just kept boot looping.

[Q] Having flashed a stock ROM via Odin, my N7105 will not boot

Hi, I'm fairly new to Rooting and ROM flashing but having successfully flashed a few ROMs to my N7105 (Note II International LTE), I decided to go back to the stock firmware.
Having flashed the stock ROM for my region, my phone now does not get past the Samsung logo. It appears as though everything went ok in Odin but the phone just won't boot!!
Having done a bit of searching, I think it might be that my data/dalvik cache needs to be wiped (if I've got that wrong, be nice - I'm new to this!). Thing is, I can't find a way to wipe this cache without loading in to CWM recovery or similar. The recovery that I can currently boot in to does not allow me to wipe cache, only to go in to download mode or to reboot.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Never mind, just discovered holding Volume Up, Home and Power boots in to the actual recovery mode from which I did a factory resst.
Told you I was a NOOB

[Q] T999 I think I bricked my phone

Help. I think I bricked my phone. I was running S3Rx 3.0 with JB4.3 on my T999 GS3. I attempted to update the rom to its latest version 3-20-14. I made a nandroid backup. I wiped cache and dalvik and then tried to install the zip file in TWRP, but it said install failed. I tried again with same failed results. I then did a factory reset, wipe cache, dalvik, data and system. I tried to flash the zip file and it failed again. So giving up on the failed update, I then restored my nandroid backup. After the restore was complete, I rebooted the phone and it got stuck at bootup with the Samsung logo and the blue LED light. I let it sit for over 15 minutes and it was still stuck there. I powered off the phone and went back into TWRP recovery and repeated the restore and reboot again, and it was stuck at that same part for over 15 minutes. Should it take that long? I've done backups and restores in the past and I don't recall it having take that long to bootup.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Please let me know if you need more explanation. Thanks in advance.
Try using odin to update the recovery system and flashing a rom.

It's been a long while since I used odin. I want to get the steps right before I risk further damaging my phone. Should I download odin and latest TWRP tar file to my pc. Put my phone into download mode and go thru the odin process...run as admin, placing tar file in pda... Then do I reboot into recovery mode? From there I'm not sure what to do. How do I flash a rom to my phone? Do or can I download a zip file via odin? One other option I thought of is to odin root66. So am I actually downloading 2 files via odin? Sorry for my confusion.
Ok, so I odined root66. My phone initially booted up to stock, but I got a pop up "unfortunately system ui has stopped". I went to recovery mode to do a factory reset. It took me to android system recovery. Apparently i lost my TWRP recovery. I did a factory reset and rebooted. Hallelujah!! my phone booted up into stock successfully. Whew...
Cool.
Sorry I couldnt respond earlier, I just woke up.
I always keep copies of odin flashable packages for the latest cwm and twrp recoveries just in case some craziness happens.
Ive had a similar issue when dualbooting. Recovery seemed to work 100% but one bad flash sent me into a bootloop I couldnt get out of. Booting to recovery just tried booting my corrupt 2nd rom and I had to odin cwm on to stop the boot script from locking me out of recovery.

All part of the hazards of tinkering with the phone. It goes with the territory. But as long as I can get into download or recovery mode I believe there's always a fighting chance.
Separately I reinstalled TWRP via odin. Next will be to reflash the custom rom.

Unable to Reset - Strange behavior

Hi everyone,
yesterday my beloved galaxy nexus started rebooting continuously. I did not even touched it. The loop is continuing still now without any reason. Usually, in this occasions, I've performed a clean/hard reset (I don't know the correct term), wiping system, data, cache and dalvik partitions, flashing a new rom and bla bla..
The very strage thing today is that I'm not able to do that. I'm using the TWRP custom recovery: if I wipe something or perform a factory reset (standard in twrp) it starts the process, gives me at the end the advice that everything has gone well, it even allows me to flash a new custom rom and gapps but when I reboot, nothing has changed. It reboots in the previous system, nothing erased and again with the reboot loop.
I've just tried also using fastboot interface. Any command I launched performed its task, the phone gives a positive ending but when I reboot again, it's like nothing happened.
Specs: Galaxy Nexus Maguro, GSM version. Actually running a 4.4.4 rom (SlimKat) with its own kernel. A lot of customization (writing/formatting) in the past 2 years.
Thanks in advance for your help!

My phone reboots in 10 sec after he boots. I can not install flashify and not even flash cwm recovery.
The same here
I'm having the same problem here, it seems that It's not saving any change I try to make, as you've described it says that every task was performed ok but after rebooting it has all my apks, data etc. even afer wiping.
The only thing I can make to keep it ON, is to enter in SAFE MODE, then I can save my pictures and data but I can't flash anything (well I can but it make no change).
FACTS:
-If you start the phone and you activate USB debugging, after rebooting it's not active anymore
-It shutsdown after 10 secons entering in a boot loop (unless you use SAFE MODE, that way you can keep it on)
-If you wipe data, wipe cache, flash boot, flash bootloader, flash system, unlock boot loader, root it, restore, flash stock + unroot (using nexus root toolkit v2.0.5) or use any flash option of fastboot via command line including update, you will get task perfomed ok but nothing is changing; after rebooting It shutsdown after 10 secons entering in a boot loop and all my data including APKs, pictures etc are still in the device.
-You can boot in Download mode, Recovery mode
Phone spec.:
Galaxy Nexus GSM/HSPA+
Android 4.3.0 JWR66Y
Product name: Tuna
Variant: Maguro 16GB
Bootloader Version: PRIMEMD04
Base Band Version: I9250XXLJ1
Lock State - Locked (You can easily unlock it but after reboot it'll be locked again)

Tmobile s6 edge bootloop after using odin/samsung smart switch

Please help. I have SM-G925T. I have used odin 3.10.7 to flash latest stock firmware. After it says success the phone reboots saying installing system updates then immediately says erasing.. then during boot it gets stuck on logo screen and repeatedly flashes. then when entering into stock recovery a no command android symbol displays. I wipe cache and perform a factory reset and reboot system and same bootloop continues. I also went to samsung smart switch and used the emergency recovery mode and once it completes it restarts phone automatically and still bootloop. I am using the latest OI1 firmware update on the device. I have tried wipe cache partition and factory reset numerous times, I have also flashed bootloader and modem files through odin which pass but still bootloops. I have tried the update before the OI1 which was OH6 and it fails saying check failed on the phones download screen. Only the OI1 passes successfully due to the SWREV is now showing B:3 K:2 S:2 & before I updated to the OI1 it used to say B:2 K:2 S:2. I have tried flashing custom kernel and the latest TWRP it then says kernel is not seandroid enforcing and in Twrp I have preformed wipe and factory reset.. with no luck on getting passed the bootloop. So I reflashed everything OI1 again through odin & preformed the wipe cache partition & factory reset again but still stuck. I have tried safe mode but I cannot boot into safe mode and I have been seeing posts explaining to upload a PIT file but when flashing I have no error when it comes to Get pit mapping so I don't believe that would be needed and I have tried flashing the files I mentioned earlier individually and no go so please if there is anyone that can help me I'd greatly appreciate it. I did not tick anything that I wasn't suppose to in Odin so I'm not understanding after being on the latest version of everything that my phone is still not booting.

Galaxy Tab3 7.0 (SM-T210) - Can't flash ROMs, recovery or factory reset + bootloop

Hi all
Been having some issues with a Tab3 that was stuck in bootloop - it would turn on for anywhere upto 10-20 seconds then reboot, and repeat... I tried going into setting and selecting factory reset and it wouldn't allow it.
I then used Odin to flash TWRP recovery then flashed a custom ROM (can't remember which but it was completely de-bloated and had bare necessities). The bootloop continues and still not fixed.
When I boot into recovery I can select all options, re-partition, format, wipe cache/dalvik, etc... But even though I've wiped everything in recovery when I reboot the Tab everything is exactly as it was, as though I hadn't wiped it.
I've tried flashing a new recovery and stock ROM with no success... So, I'm wondering if anyone has ever had this problem and how would you recommend I go about fixing it?
Cheers
I've tried using Odin using re-partition, nand erase all, phone efs clear, PIT file, stock ROM, recovery, etc...
It's not hard-bricked as it's booting up, but for some reason it doesn't wipe or flash to stock and I can't find the solution!!
Any help is appreciated
