I suggest to port MIUI 8, Redmi Note 4G (there is single sim and dual sim version of phone so it is possible to port it to gt-i9300i and gt-i9301i) have same chipset and GPU as s3 neo, so i think it is possible but I'm noob and I don't have time so if someone know how and want to port it, please comment here.Thanks.

No,no,no you didnt understanded me clearly, im NOT a developer of MIUI 8, i SUGGEST rom to be created
It is not possible to port from Redmi Note 4G. But it is possible to port from Redmi 1S. But Redmi 1S has Kitkat based miui 8
Grand 2 gonna soon get it. When Grand 2 gets then adding support for S3 neo would be easier

Me and my friends working up for Grand 2. Almost close to completely building it. Then bug fixing remains. If we succeed then i am going to add support for S3 neo later on. But since i din't have device i need someone who can help adding support and helps in port+owns a s3 neo. Know someone??? Please LMK

as far as i know no one was able to port previous versions of miui and only successfully attempt was miui 5(with many bugs) and all projects were abandoned
i own s3 neo (i9301i) so i could help little

Yeah thats cuz MIUI 7 was on Kitkat. A grand 2 developer did build one successfully but failed to fix bugs. Cuz Kitkat for Grand 2 is buggy. Noone tried for S3 neo in my knowledge atleast.
But me and my friends making MIUI 8. Its on Marshmallow and Grand 2 has a Stable cm13 to use. As for s3 neo i don't think anyone has even tried to make it.
Actually s3 neo is much depended on Grand 2. Both developements are much linked. So i don't think S3 neo is getting it sooner than we or someone else manage to boot one for Grand 2.
Lets just wait and see?

Do me a favour. Find me a person who can help me in porting as well as test the rom at the same time(posesses a s3 neo). We are running make Fullota as for now(the command used to obtain the flashable zip) which means we are almost close to done. And bootloop/bug fixing remains(can be a slow process). Until then suggest me someone who is willing to help me.

Hello, i have 2 s3 neos same model i9301i, i dont use second phone,.maybe i could test roms on that phone but i cant help in porting

Cool! Can you share your telegram or Hangouts??? I'll let you know when ROM boots on Grand 2. Actually some problems caused us to redo the project from starting. We reached MI logo but had to start over again. As for now my friend is busy so its gonna take some more time i guess.

I've tried porting MIUI before too, also couldn't get past the logo, I think it was something about media.server causing the loop when I checked the logs. Anyway, my Telegram username is Gusky. Talk to you there.

Samsung needs to release 4.4.4 for s4 mini first, and then we can port apps etc.

I'm not sure when they are going to update it. I'm in the process of adding support to i9195 in my s5 rom. Check in the android development section, there are 2 s5 roms which currently support i9195. Choose between them.
Can any skilled and insterested dev port some s5's lollipop xml and theme properly 4.4.4 s3 framework and system ui ? I guess many people share my same request am I right ? And let's anyway hope for note 2 lollipop

For theme i had already ported s6 theme check in themes and apps section for system ui i tried from lollipop which was made for s4 it failed everytime.ŕ

Interesting and also imposible , S3 have another type of hardware , software can't be ported , only the app's addapted to 4.4.2 or 4.4.4 , The note 2 Lollipop has been allready Official Canceled ! . End of life for us on 4.4.2 and 4.4.4 ROM's for custom install , and 4.3 for the official .

unfortunately no,its not possible
Samsung has to release device and kernel resources for developers to make roms for android 5 and above for note 2
and samsung never did it.
reason you are seeing note 5 roms for note 3 is that note 3 had official lollipop update while note 2 didnt had it.
the best that can happen is to port note 5 apps and theming .but touchwiz android 5.0 or 6.0 is not possible for note 2
