[Q] Wifi Connectivity Problem on Xperia ZL

Hi guys,
Just want to seek some help from you regarding my concerns with my ZL (c6502). The problem is that I can't connect to any network available, may it be secured (just like our network in our house) or open network. I have already tried it with our network but it seems that even if I place my phone just beside the router, it still doesn't connect. I have tried updating and repairing with SEUS but the problem still persists. Is there such a way that it can be fixed?

PS: I have this build number in my phone: 10.3.1.A.2.67
EDIT: I have tried upgrading it to 4.3 and still can't connect with networks

It wud be great if u cud write down what exactly happens when u try to connect to a network? Does it lose signal? Or does it simply says cannot connect or something like that?
Its too much strangeness in one problem.silly
The wifi problem was supposed to be done away with android 4.2( build number. 423 onwards)

Hi Sir, it doesn't connect at all. When I'm trying to connect, it will just prompt "Connecting" and then nothing happens afterwards. "Association Rejected"

extremely sorry for this ridiculously late reply.
there appears to be some greater problem with wifi authentication process. i think u should try a factory reset.(dont frget to backup first.)
it "may" solve ur problem.

the problem seems to be with the firmware the soln i gave was for wifi dropping it seems somthing different now try flashing the stock ftf via flashtool of UR BASEBAND ONLY AFTER FULL WIPE AND NOT JUST UPGRADING IF PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS CONTCT SEVICE CENTRE

LG G3 WiFi Issues.

Hi,
Out of the blue, I can't find any WiFi networks. NONE.
ALTHOUGH, if I enter my network's ssid and p/w manually, it will connect.
What the heck.
I just recently flashed stock, but when I did that it worked flawlessly. I also edited build.prop and deleted some bloatware, but I restored everything back the way it was and it still fails working.
No WiFi network is found. Anywhere.
The weirdest thing, is if I download some random WiFi manager from the Play Store, it finds every network available..

Another wifi problem
Hi and happy new year,
I have a problem with the Wifi but not the same as you.
It's very strange because I can see all the neighborhood but I can't connect successfully on known networks.
I've tried with many networks with no success...
Sometimes, the wifi disappears and it shows disconnected.
Maybe it's a hardware problem.

Have you tried not synchronizing your phone with google account after reset? It pulls list of known networks from server, it may have had affected searching of new networks...

I hadn't.. Do you think that could really cause it not to find any networks?
Also, is there a way of erasing that now? Or do I have to reflash?
Either way I'm going to have to use TB to get my apps and data back.. Do you think maybe that has something to do with it? (I only restore user apps though)

wifi connected no internet ..

wifi connects and disconnects automatically in a sec or min after updated to marshmallow.. is someone facing this issue or im the one facing this issue..
steps done so far ... factory reset, wipe and clear cache.. location scanning off in settings...
Please help asap how to overcome this issue... thanks in advance

I have been facing this problem lately , the phone lags for a long time sometimes up to a whole minute when i turn on or off the mobile data or the WiFi connection , is anybody have the same problem ?
the phone is on stock system with Android M 6.0.1

You have to install any ROM, but before you have to Unlock the Bootloader

No cellular data

Hey Guys
I use a HTC One A9 with LineageOS 14. All works fine. But since some Days ago my cellular data don't work. In the cellular data menu it shows LTE. But under the LTE is a little cross. I use the terminal to figure out what is the problem. I find out, that I got a IP. If I try to ping it resolve the host, but I don't receive a pong. If I do tracepath I only get 1 step, my own IP. If anyone known what the problem is or have any ideas please tell.

Have you tried clearing both caches in recovery?

hi,
i have a similar issue on a HTC 10.
I can get service immediatly, when i go to Settings->more->Mobile Networks->Network Operators -> Choose automatically
If i press "Choose automatically" in that instance it shows a small grey Textbox with: "Registered on Network" and then it works, until it looses connection again..
I will also try clearing caches (which i didn't wipe during the last two updates) and report back.
EDIT: I wiped both Cache, Dalvik and rebooted. When it was booted up it showed as profile "Alarms only" and wasn't connected to mobile network. When i turned it to default profile it immediately connected... Will keep an eye on that.

Guys thanks for your help. I wiped dalvik and it works. The next day it doesn't works again. So I did a restart, because I wiped dalvik from root termux. And the cellular data are fine. I'm not 100% happy with this solution, but better then nothing

Hello Guys,
I finally get a "solution".
I have to format the device complete and install LineagOS again.
Last week I had the same problem again. So I removed everything and installed the OS again.
It is not the best solution, but it works.

Good luck with that. We had the same issue on our GT-i9192, starting with the first December update. I went so far as to wipe Cache, Davlik Cache, System, and Data, then reinstall Lineage the other day. Mobile data worked for about 24 hours; now it's intermittent. It'll come back if we reboot the phone, but then how long it works is anyone's guess. Very frustrating.

Has a fix been found? I searched through xda and couldn't find one. I have the same problem on my Galaxy S3 i9300. Cell Data worked briefly, but now not at all. I believe it might have been triggered by turning off wifi, but not sure. Tried a complete wipe of all caches, data, system, etc. plus a reformat of internal before clean installing lineage-14.1-201727-nightly with GAPPS pico. Sadly, it's forcing me to ditch lineageos, despite it being such a beautiful rom. Sorry don't have much to offer, I'm no developer. Wish everyone well, though!

I think I found a fix...
Hey guys, I may have figured out a fix. If I go to settings -> more -> preferred network type . Change it to GSM / WCDMA auto it seems to work. It seems just to happen on the LTE option. I'm not sure if this doesn't take advantage of LTE but it works for now...

From, Settings->Apps->Settings (Wizard)->Data Usage->Background Data
Check if that is ON. If not that could be your issue. That apparently needs to be ON as several system services depend on it.
Also, Settings->Apps->SIM Toolkit->Data Usage->Background Data
must be ON too. If not, get that to turn-ON as well.
But, the issue above is that once the Settings-Wizard's settings are messed up, there seems no way to turn it back ON as it flips back to OFF. If you find out how to get that to turn ON, please post back.
