System and Cache repartitioning / Opengapps: Error 70
The current system partition is (getting) full !
You need to do repartition your system and cache partitions .. either via TWRP package or manually via shell.
It's an one time task.
But the filesystem of the system.img inside the ROM will keep always the same size .. approx. 800mb.
The filesystem does not know the "real" size of the actual partition.
In general .. If you install an image into a partition the filesystem will have the size of the image (in our case 800mb).
The free space we got thru repartitioning needs to be allocated again.
For this reason we need to enlarge/resize the filesystem after each ROM update and/or clean install.
Only the filesystem .. the partition itself will stay untouched.
The automatic enlarge/resize of the filesystem is part of the ROM installer.
For manual repartitioning have a look here:

Thx, I'm waiting for this, do we have any info when will be official Lineage nightly builds?
I tried to install this ROM after a Factory-Reset.
After Boot-Animation there is no possibility to go any further at the large LOS-Logo.
I used TWRP 3.0.2 for Installation.
Any hints?
Regards,
Jörg
Same here. I tried the official TWRP & the TWRP recommended above, after doing factory reset. Both = bootloop. . . Sumpthin' ain't right

Pls wipe system before installation.
Do you have f2fs partitions ? data ? cache ?
The default lineageos manta kernel does not support f2fs !
Pls change file system of your partitions to ext4 via TWRP.
Will release a new version with f2fs support .. in a few days.

Correct gapps version?
Cant replicate your issue.
OK.
Retried the whole thing. Only difference is that i did not Format data.
Sorry, but i did not read it as "you have to install 13.0 and must not wipe data".
Works now. But i think it should also work with wiping data.

You have to install a 13.0-ROM, wipe cache, dalvik and system - NOT Data - and then flash this ROM ...
(Or wait for followmsi to fix it )

Pls install Lineage OS 13.0 first, the start to install CM14.1 like described on first page.
There is an issue if you do factory reset, please keep your data partiton untouched.
Back from the Ski slope ...
Made a new TWRP version .. including F2FS support .. Update.ZIP_TWRP_manta_3.0.3-1.zip
Added NTFS and F2FS into the manta kernel .. lineage-14.1-20170224-UNOFFICIAL-manta.zip.
But the annoying factory reset issue is still not solved .. hopefully soon.
For the next time - pls install Lineage OS 13 first !
Cheers

CM-13.0 Install Guide
Note: CM for Galaxy W is provided with no warranty. You are installing this software at your own risk. You may be violating your warranty.
NB! All CM builds from 2014-12-23 and after requires a new recovery! Read info further down.
Download CM-13.0 and gapps package and put in /sdcard
Download recovery: recovery-clockwork-6.0.5.1-ancora.zip
Flash it in old recovery. Then go to "advanced" menu, and select reboot recovery. When new recovery has loaded, select wipe data/factory reset, then go to "mounts and storage" menu and select format /system. Then select "format /data and /data/media" (NB. only needed the first time installing the rom). Now you should make sure you have put the rom file on an external sd card. Install that and gapps the normal way. You can also use adb sideload.
The change of partition layout is done because CM13 requires it, and implementing the same in CM12,CM11 make it easier for everyone to switch between them, since the same recovery can be used. For more info on the new layout, see here: https://github.com/arco/android_dev...mmit/d1cb921fb3ecd3e90a35da2af6a878aa294f168d
Another benefit is that it's now possible to install the full gapps package.

Google Apps (UPGRADE REQUIRED)
PA GApps
Micro Modular recommended
Before you install CM-13.0: Preparation (First three are optional. If you want to start fresh, these can be skipped)
Install AppBak from Market, run it and save a list of all your apps.
Install SMS Backup and Restore from Market, run it and backup your SMS history.
Install Call Logs Backup and Restore from Market, run it and backup your call log history.
Boot into CWM5 recovery. Make a full backup. You will need this backup later if you decide to go back to your previous ROM and data.
WARNING: Many apps will Force Close crash if you restore data from a previous ROM.
Install
Use CWM6.
Warning: Only use this recovery to flash CM-13.0. Otherwise, you risk bricking your phone, or you might experience boot and stability issues!
-Wipe data/factory reset
Under the "mounts and storage" menu:
-Format system
-Format data and data/media
Flash update*.zip.
Flash gapps*.zip. You must flash gapps after every upgrade to CM13.0 since /system is formatted, wiping your previous add-ons.
Reboot phone.
After you setup your Google account, reinstall the three apps from Market in order to restore most of your apps, call log and SMS history.
Warning: Do not restore backup data of system apps!
If you restore a bad backup with cached settings in telephony.db in data/data/com.*.*.telephony it can break MMS.
It seems that restoring backups can also break Calendar sync.
Upgrades
Upgrades from previous versions of CM13.0 are the same process as install, except you do not need to wipe anything. Contrary to popular belief, you do not need to even wipe cache and dalvik-cache when upgrading between CM13.0 versions. You only need to wipe if you are doing a major upgrade, switching to a different ROM entirely, or attempting to fix bugs caused by bad backups or corrupt app data.

Download the MatLog app from the Play Store.
After downloading the MatLog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving. As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into MatLog and stop the log recording.
Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the thread with a brief description of the error.
Known issues:
- Encryption seems not work - and has not been tested. -> Pls do not encrypt your data partition yet.
- Keymaster -> If you set Pattern, PIN or Password the Screen unlock may not work correctly.
Workaround for Pattern: On fresh boot you will need to wait a bit longer before you enter credentials.
The waiting time is required on fresh boot only, the following unlocks are working normally.
In case of problems pls use Update.ZIP_TWRP_flashable_pattern_pin_remover_V2.zip to remove pattern/pin or password.

Ok guys, this rom is ultimative for configuration nerds (like me) - tested it now since release and find no issues. Magisk root and hide is full integrated, OMS too. Did some tests with my new toy (Huawei Watch 2 4g) by playing with watchface tools on bluetooth connection - well... it´s stable!
Connected my B&W P5 wireless headphones and got no hickups!
Running this setup with an accelerator based wallpaper - the GUI is really fluid and smooth.
Some screens;
The blur & transparency options are realyl eyecatcher, check it out

6. Reboot into system ..
- If you had gapps installed before you don't need to install gapps again - the installer will take care.

The required (stock) vendor.img is part of the ROM installer now !
You may have a try and do a "dirty" flash too -> do not wipe your data partition.

Guys, it seems that the manually Magisk root installation is recommended. SuperSu give some conflicts and settings force closes. Many thank to @followmsi for his hard work supporting our lovely device with this beast of rom
Btw - if you get in trouble with SuperSU get MagiskManager root privileges and let it download Magisk-v12.0.zip. Reboot your device in TWRP and install Rom / (Kernel) / /MagiskManager/Magisk-v12.0.zip again. Thats´s all Have Fun

Did you install fresh boot.img before you installed Magisk ?
If you want to install both - magisk and supersu - you need to follow the instructions here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
If you're not rooted, or something went wrong and you need a clean start
(Recommended) Restore your boot image back to stock (flash uninstaller if Magisk is previously installed)
Download the latest Magisk zip file
Reboot to a custom recovery
If you choose to use SuperSU (only support Android 6.0+), flash SuperSU in systemless mode now
Flash Magisk zip
Reboot. Update the stub Magisk Manager to the latest from Play Store
I don't have any problems ...
Installed Magisk only - works fine.
Installed SuperSU and Magisk - works fine. (SuperSU is the root tool then - Magisk Manger is used for modules only)
Magisk is quite nice - it does not need to double-boot after installation.
And it's open source too
If you install SuperSU and Magisk it still needs to double-boot because of SuperSu.
Maybe we should switch to Magisk in general .. for all ROMs
I did test this on LineageOS OMS CM14.1 now.
Will test again on RR version .. but it should be the same - the integrated Magisk Manager should not be related.
Cheers
Made a screen shot with LOS OMS version ..
Made same test on latest RR version now ... no problems at all.
Installed Magisk only - working fine.
Installed Magisk and SuperSU .. all is fine.
Same like in LOS OMS version .. root tool is SuperSU.
Magisk Manager has been granted access inside SuperSU tool.
Pls check your install procedure again ..
Removal of SuperSU or Magisk is done by just applying the fresh boot.img.
Magisk only install:
1. fresh boot.img (taken from zipped ROM package)
2. Install Magisk only-
3. Reboot system - no double-boot
or
Magisk and SuperSU install:
1. fresh boot.img (taken from zipped ROM package)
2. Install SuperSU first !!!
3. Install Magisk
4. Reboot system - still have the double-boot
SuperSu only installation has been already validated on last RR version.
I am really starting to like Magisk ... no double-boot anymore and full opensource
Here the same screen shot but inside RR ..
My conclusion .. no issues at all with magisk !
Seems to fully working with chromeos signed boot.img
Works with and without Supersu.
Does not need double-boot .. and is opensource.
Hmmmm .... I think I will switch
But the ROMs will be not changed !
If somebody wants to install SuperSU you don't need install a fresh boot.img before.
After ROM installation you decide what you want .. both tools or just one tool.

Those screenshots have nicely answered a question for me if the Roms are laid out like stock nav bars or not lol
Made the same package for flo/deb and manta devices .
And now for dragon device too ..
It seems there are still issues with the opengapps SetupWizard on 7.1.2 ROMs.
The SetupWizard (only) package below seems to work fine - except for the "vision settings".
BeansGapps_SetupWizard_7.1.2_Dragon.zip
Installation:
1. As we want to see the SetupWizard we do a clean install .. wipe system, cache, dalvik, data .. everything except internal storage.
2. install the 7.1.2 ROM of your choice.
3. Install official opengapps package you like ..
4. install BeansGapps_SetupWizard_7.1.2_Manta.zip
5. Install Magisk and/or SuperSu.
6. Reboot into system and wait for the SetupWizard.
Cheers

Hello followmsi,
Thanks for port RR to our Pixel C I love RR and I use it on both of my OnePlus.
In my OP 3T with a 7.1.2 RR Rom I´m using BeansGAPPS Mini, so I should use the Beans package provided in your OneDrive folder?
Thanks in advance.

If you read above .. it's just a replacement for the setupwizard.
If you install opengapps and the setupwizard is crashing reboot into TWRP again and install this package above - just to fix setupwizard only.
Of course you can install complete beans gapps too.
Cheers

Full wipe and ROM installed with latest Beans Gapps without any kind of problems. I love RR and it works like a charm for the moment. I was using the tablet for at least 4 hours I think with all my daily apps installed (arround 40 apps) Substratum and rooted with latest Magisk.
I have a question, the stock kernel can handle usb-otg? And what formats can handle, like NTFS, exFAT, etc? Sorry for dumb question but I forget all my USB at the office....
Really thanks for your work mate!!!

The kernel supports NTFS and F2FS .. exFAT via fuse only.
Have a try to mount your drive via console.
Maybe tricky ..
To make it short ..
Pls use Paragon drivers or other tools for exFAT and NTFS.
Maybe use "stick mount" too.
These tools offer "real" Android integration .. that what you want !
Cheers
EDIT: Because of TWRP config, the ntfs-3g user space driver is also included in the RR ROM.
https://github.com/followmsi/androi...mmit/01918bd2e07ae491eaae9a37af4175d375c18c86
Type in terminal ..
mount.ntfs /dev/yourdevice
To mount via kernel driver you just type. ..
mount -t ntfs /dev/yourdevice
Have a try ..
But as said above .. to have it "comfortable" use proper Android tools
New version arrived ...
RR-N-v5.8.3-20170511-dragon-Unofficial-followmsi.zip
Changes:
- Latest RR changes
- Latest kernel changes
- Fix for "Wifi direct"
- Enabled Doze (Ambient light)
Enjoy ..
Due to several reasons I have removed the vendor.img from the ROM now !
I have changed the first page accordingly ...
The required (stock) vendor.img is not part of the ROM installer !
You will find a copy inside the download folder.
Installation:
1. Boot into TWRP
2. Wipe system, cache, dalvik and data. (Not required if you upgrade from previous build)
3. Install ROM ...
4. Install current stock vendor.img (flash via TWRP)
5. install opengapps or beansgapps (arm64) (optional)
6. install SuperSU.zip and/or Magisk.zip
7. Reboot into system ..
Thanks for your understanding ..

No .. this is a copy of current stock vendor.img file.
And if you have current vendor.img now, you don't need to install again.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9.0 (Pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Fastboot into TWRP recovery
Flash the latest build of Lineage OS
Reboot to bootloader and fastboot TWRP again
(Optional) Flash gapps of choice (OpenGapps mini or smaller are recommended)
Reboot to system and don't install the TWRP app
(Optional) Flash custom kernel / TWRP / Magisk
A more detailed installation guide can be found here.

Don't wipe system, just factory reset is good enough.
If you wipe system you should flash the stock ota and twrp zip, boot up and start over.

****ty, this happened to me before from flashing an old ROM by mistake.
Have you tried booting? Either way you'll have to format your data to decrypt the file system.
If it doesn't boot you'll have to adb side load stock ota and start over. A type c thumb drive loaded with files you need comes in handy when this happens.
I'll wait till I'm home before flashing this to see what's up.

IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ THIS
This is a ROM built from source and not a GSI!
Fix Camera stretch & force close for some camera apps
You can do it editing /vendor/build.prop file using MiXplorer (you’ll need ROOT).
Search for the line “vendor.camera.hal1.packagelist”
After the = are the name of different apps. Delete one of these and put the package name of the app that you want to fix. For example, com.facebook.orca is the Facebook package name.
Per default, the ROM comes with Whatsapp, ZOOM, Snapchat and Instagram added. Maximum 4 Apps are allowed in this line and must be separated by comma ",".
If you don’t understand, open this link to see visual steps.
Fix Camera stuck
Sometimes, the camera can get inaccessible if an app has crashed. If it happen, follow this:
Install this app. Open it and tap "Kill camera", then give it ROOT permissions. Done! Camera is working again.
Take in mind that if the camera is broken and you didn't do this, the audio in calls maybe not work.
GCam
This ROM can run GCam. Download a modded version for Exynos HERE. Thanks to Leonardo Estacio for his mod.
Games: this ROM works so good for gaming and can run ARM64 apps/games. If you feel lags, go to Settings > Battery > Battery Saver and performance > Performance Profile and set it to High Performance.
For close, i want to give a huge thanks to @Astrako - Without him this ROM haven't be possible <3

Hi all. Mostly everything i tested so far works OK. Even cameras (front and back).
but i do have problem with sim cards not being detected. In settings i cant see IMEI and on each "sim status" i see "not available".
i have tried restoring Modem and EFS backup, with no lock. Modem backup restores ok, EFS fails. After sim cards still aren't detected.
Any idea what i can do to fix this?
I'm testing this on SM-J730F/DS with or without gapps.
----
EDIT: i fixed it by flashing latest stock room bootlader and modem (BL and CP). Following this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/root-j730x-8-x-and-9-x-and-upgrade-bootloader-and-modem.3883139/

me too, same problem. but before the reboot, the rom is absolutelly amazing, i love it and i ll hope the problem of reboot will be solved.
Awesome rom! But I have the same problem mentioned, when reboot the device get stuck on "G" logo (I noticed that the led when I connect the phone to a charger work).
I installed this rom from dotOS follow the steps as below:
- Flash TWRP 3.5.2 from link this post.
- Boot to TWRP -> Wipe System, Data, Cache, Dalvik, Internal storage (i put ROM in SD card) -> Format Data -> Flash this ROM -> wipe cache -> Reboot -> Done.
Everything works fine, including the fingerprint sensor.
Then i go back dotOS follow the steps as above but fingerprint sensor don't work (disappear in menu setting). I try install stock laster ROM with newflasher but fingerprint sensor don't work.
Any fix? Thank u.

Edit: wait about 12h for fingerprint sensor work again for me. I no understand: ROM can auto fix that.
The WIFI doesn't work ,no IP and MAC adress

No idea. I remember time ago PE had a problem at the first boot, that automatically resolved waiting some minutes, but nothing else. Let's see whit next release, but i don't think its rom related, considering this problem isnt there on XZ1 (that is basically the same device). Maybe depend from the switch from dotos to pe.

XZ1 and XZP are magical devices. If something doesnt work, 12h fixes it. 100% satisfaction or money back.

Impossible. Try with a clean flash.

For the reboot problem if I install pixel experience 10 and then this one, do you think that I can resolve the problem?
Solved the problem of stuck on "G" boot animation when reboot, I format data 2 times (format data then power off, boot to recovery and format data again then flash rom) and on first startup I didn't set a pin/pattern when boot the device.

So the problem Is PIN?

I'm not sure but in my case without the pin/pattern on boot I don't have any problem know.

I don't have that device and this is not the right place where to ask, all I can say is that Instagram is a ****ty app on Android.

You must not wait. If you have root or twrp,go to data then system and delete locksettings.db. Reboot and fingerprint and pin works. Very old trick

You sure? About this bug, I seach google and go xda: flash to stock firmware CE... I tried & haven't lucky. Then i flash go back AOSP, wait & fingerprint work again. XZP is magical device.
Thanks for the works,
first time to flash a rom to my xzp. it works fine on my device.
several things need to be checked.
1. 4K support
2. HDR support on Youtube (screen seems to be triggered brighter, but resolution remains at 720p after several secs loading)
