help needed ..........
What ROM is it on? Sow a similar bug report on MiUI forums, still no solution. My opinion is that it got stuck & solution would be either removing the battery stripe for about a minute or letting it discharge completely but later will be a little harder as the battery is huge. I already had expressed my concerns (hire & elsewhere) about how kernel safety mechanism (aka kernel panic) fails when it got stuck.
stock rom .. submitted my mobile to service center ... they will let me know tomorrow.......
hope for the best

Any advise would be helpfull....
Looks like we got nearly similar problems
a day back....the blue LED lite (but I'm not using any BT device) and I couldn't do anything....even soft reset nothing happened....open/reinstall the battery....haha...it hard resets by itself
Today, at nearly the same time, same thing happened. But I remembered to off the BT so that no one can bluejack me....so why did the blue LED lite...and nothing could be done?
I really dunno why, when it happened, the softwares were the same factory default (I had no time to install any software) and the baterry level was 60%..
Rom version 1.66WWE

Tweaks2K2
Hello guys..you need this super application to shut off those LED's for good, and thus saving power!
Many more tweaks in here too!
Enjoy!
A device that does a Hard reset by its self, unwanted, un-asked for, most allways has a problem with the battery or the connection to the battery.
This is true for a BA, have no prrof that it is also true for other devices.
leds use very very little power i renember buying a logitech mouse optical and the case wrapping had a red led to emulate the led in optical mice
that led was powered by 1 AA batt and lasted for ages
i doubt that people can measure much difference in batt life by turning off the green and even blue led
The Point
Listen here...negative comments are not welcome matey! LED'S can annoy people, so my FULL app helps eliminate this, and also many other tweaks enclosed in this fab app! Any minute power saving is always welcome! :x
I am here to help!
is there a new rule in the forum where one can not share info and opinions if some dont like that info / openions ?
if so then that rule passed without my knowledge
Get the Point!
Understand my point dude, and then we can go forward!
Try to reword your comments in future so they don't cause conflict, OK?
END! :!:
not sure which of my comments were hhmmm undiplomatic
dident even know it was your program or know the program in general
just talked about leds really
Hum let us have a look here,
Rudegar has 3165 posts.
engager has 3 posts.
Think Rudegar would have seen that new rule.
I for one fail to read any negative comments about your application.
There wasn't anything negative about his post at all.. Bad day?
A loose SIM card will cause an intermitent hard reset, adjust the rails that hold the SIM in place, worked for me!
Battery
Hi All,
Regarding this issue. This is my point of view. I myself have this problem too. Currently I am using XDA II with WM2005. I surpose the problem comes from the software part *maybe the battery meter reading error*..
When using the phone, when ever I reach 37%, the phone will auto off, or maybe it hard reset? I dunno as WM2005 got persistant memory. But I know the situtation is the same, Boot up, blue led, den keep resetting, unles you plug the POWER SUPPLY .. not power thru USB direct from computer.
I tried a test, and am sure its software problem. I put a new battery on test, the battery went to 25% and then same, it shuts off like the previous.
So, anyone have any idea where to get a software that maybe.. reset the battery meter?
Me too, I had upgrade the rom from 1.60 to 2.06, when ever the battery hit below 50%, it sometime turn off by itself or hardreset even I did not turn it on.
I downgrade it back to 1.60 rom and working fine now.

you dint say if you are using some batery program you can disable radio and use pda with radio off and find out if its not radio thats killing the batery at 25% and that remove bad sim conection also
there are also some sd cards that request power even when not in use so thats a test to
use a program to check the batery full charge it and test
i have two bateries for my xda 2 one last almost twice the other the stong one was made somewhere in japan and the weeker one in china that doesnt mean anything cos i could find the companies envolved only where they say made in .....
hope thats helpfull
Hi.
My Artemis doesn't turn on, and doesn't even charge.
I don't know what has happened, it was in suspend mode, i pressed the power button, and the screen lights up all white.
I had to remove the battery to turn it off.
Now it doesn't do anything. I tried the soft and hard reset, but to no avail.
Is it dead?
PS: I left it without battery for a couple of hours, and it turned on, but then the screen turns all white, and it's dead again.
boot problem
Hi,
I have the same problem.
It doesn´t turn on and it doesn´t charge.
I don´t know how to flash the artemis. I can not enter in bootloader mode and I can´t sync it because activesync doesn´t work.
I remove the battery too but it turns off. I tried a soft and hard reset but
It does nothing.
any solution? please
Thank you
had a similar problem last month too. sent it back to htc authorised service dealer and was diagnosed with a faulty motherboard. luckily, it's still under warranty and they changed the MB. all functioning well now..
I've had five different motherboards and I'm still in trouble - I suspect there is a bad batch out there, as my original worked fine for about six months.... since then (its a long story.....)
Hy.
I have the same problem, can't even start by bootloader, sincer my batterry run out, i can't power up my artemis, any reason why ?
The battery is full .I tested on another artemis .
Edit: The only wrong thing I guess i did was flashing it to a touch rom, but it was all good till it run out of battery, if I sent htc to the warranty, they won't fix my problem because of the rom right ?
Did a search in the forum and the other "dead desires" don't seem to be like mine, so here's going -
1) I flashed to latest MIUI rom and vorkkernel yesterday.
2) The phone worked for a few hours, then all of a suddenly the screen just went blank and the phone shut down.
3) I tried to switch on the phone in both normal and recovery mode by holding down vol down button, neither way works. The only thing that happens when I press power button is the notification LED blinks orange then green repeatedly.
4) I took out the battery for a few hours and replaced it, same thing
I don't really think it is the rom or the kernel, since I did the same thing a few months ago and there was no problem. But I can't even power on my phone now
Anybody can help?
Help ? Or did I post in the wrong forum
just hope it's not motherboard related ...
Hey !
I might know the problem, take out the battery and look if the things that go into the battery on the phone are right. My friend had the same problem, but we fixed it. Just use something to fix those small things so they are up, and not to the corners.
Hope this helped
I guess its a battery issue, try with *new* battery.
Crap, still won't work
Hey All,
I'm currently on the CM11 04/22 nightly, and have made it all the way up to the 04/27 nightly to try and resolve this issue and have not been able to. Basically - the sudden death issue has been hitting me very hard - I can't use my phone at all.
I understand the 04/11 nightly is stable and doesn't have this issue, howevery CyanogenMod does not have this on their website.
Does anyone have this install available? (CM-11-Nightly-20140411-D2LTE.zip)
Thanks so much in advance

please explain what you mean by sudden death? thanks

I'll be using the phone (say checking my Instagram or reading a book on Play Books) and the screen may be on for about 5-6 minutes. The phone will suddenly shut off on its own. I'll start it up and then shut down again when the phone is loading. It will also sometimes say it has 1-2% battery when it really has 45% (which is what it shows when I plug the phone in).
Hope this clears it up.

I had the same issue a week back. Was the most frustrating thing ever...
I finally narrowed it down to the power button. It actually had to do with the power button switch which is soldered to the motherboard. The power button was super sensative, therefore being engagded at all times, causing the phone to hard shutdown every time I tried to turn the phone on.
How I fixed it:
1. Opened my phone up
2. Broke the switch off
3. Done
Now I use my phone without a functioning power button but it was a quick and free fix so it doesnt bother me.
If I decide to do so in the future, I can also solder a new switch back and get the power button working again.
DO NOTE: This might now be the issue you may be facing, so do your research
Finally, I watched this YT video which showed me how to break the power button switch and eventually fix my phone: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Glllc7bEJs
Good Luck

I'm fairly confident that this isn't the power switch. And if it were I'm not sure how comfortable I would feel breaking the power switch off.
The thing that begs me to think this is a software issue is that I'll have 45% battery, the phone will die, and then I'll try to turn the phone on again only for it to tell me I have 1% battery left. I'll put the phone on charge (after it dies again) and it will say charging - 45%.
Anyway I've rolled back a few updates and it seems to be fairly usable now...
Try cleaning the USB port real well and don't use a cheap cable. Use a needle and make sure there is no lint packed in there. These things can cause the phone to cycle itself even when not plugged in. I've fixed several doing exactly what you describe.
So, unluckily today i find myself here lookin' for help with my phone. I had already took a look on other brick threads, but i can't find an appropriate answer to my problem.
I'm (i was) running lineage-14.1-20170602-nightly, i had ne0zone75's TWRP 3.1.0.0-0, and that's how the brick came in a strange way; i was simply on XDA Labs app browsing the forum, when i received a call. I've answered, and when i shut off the call the phone shut off immediately after. I thought it was a reboot, but keeping pressed the power button didn't switched on the phone anymore. So i've tried to remove the battery and re insert it after some minutes, but the only thing i can get is the screen with the samsung logo that goes all black after 5 seconds. I already had other bricks due some errors of mine in the past, but this time it's really difficult.
1: I can't access recovery mode. Ow, how i wish i could.
2: I can access download mode, but after that i reach the ODIN MODE screen with the details of product binary, KNOX, ecc. the phone shuts off again.
3: If i keep the power button pressed, the phone doesn't starts. It only starts if i replug the battery in, but after some seconds it shuts off again.
4: How could a call as another mess up the whole phone?
5: I didn't installed nothing new from at least a week... yesterday an automatic update of the Play Store took place, but except that nothing has been changed. Nothing of nothing! No settings, no apps...
What could i do? Installing Kies with Samsung drivers could help me flashing a stock rom for example? Because at the moment, there isn't too much that i can do with the phone in this state... I hope this little jewel won't have to become a stone to be thrown away. Any help would be great, and really appreciated. Thanks in advance...
Things has got worse. Now my device doesn't starts at all; no vibrations, no signs of life, nothing. I've tried even to put it for 6 hours in my refrigerator, because i've read that the cold temperature could be helpful to fix some broken contacts on some component, but i'm losing hope 'bout it. I supposed that at this point is something hardware-based and not software, because it's just impossible that a call like an other one could be the cause of this hard brick... The only thing is that if connected to my PC, it is being showed as QHSUSB_LOAD. I'll try some methods that i've seen in other forums, like softwares that tries to fix this, but i think that i'll be forced to buy a new device. Neither an usb-jig could help me to force the download mode if the phone is dead in every aspect... the only thing that i still didn't understood, is if a debrick.img on my SD card (sadly i've read that a microSD class 10 with at least 16 GB is required, and i don't have one) could help somehow on a situation like this one of not. Still no one could advice me with some tip, guys
Edit - feel free to close this thread, I have another phone now
