Autostart manager for 7.1.1? - Google Pixel XL Themes, Apps, and Mods

Is there any auto start manager out there? I have a few apps that start on boot that don't really need to and I can't find any that work with 7.0+

Not to be a forum nazi, but just FYI questions go into the questions subforum even if they are about apps.

Whaddya know, so it does.
I've been using SD Maid Pro for years and never realized it had this functionality. Thanks!
It's kind of hidden away in the AppControl feature.

How can I remove shortcuts from "All Programs"?

I'd like to remove some of the shortcuts in All Programs, on my HTC Desire. I never use Footprints or Peep for example. I'd ideally like to uninstall them but will be as happy to just delete the shortcut.
How can I do this? Do I have to Root the HTC Desire, before I can do this? Thanks
Yes, a way to hide apps from the sense launcher would be great
I dont think it is possible, yet.
A temp solution would be to create a folder and dump all the apps you want inside.

That wouldn't remove them from "All Programs" though, unless I'm missing something?
if you have rooted your phone you can use a program called vault
Thanks. It's a shame you have to root the phone. With Windows Mobile you've got access to everything without having to root.
Anyone? Or is rooting the only answer?

I'm now rooted. Where can I find this? Thanks.
Just use an alternate launcher like ADW. Then you can setup the app drawer any way you like. You can even have multiple settings. Not the only advantage btw.
Or use Titanium Backup. Worked fine for me.

Thanks but how will this help me reduce clutter in the App Drawer? I already use the excellent My Backup Pro btw .

Thanks. I've tried Launcher Pro Plus in the past and it's excellent but I still prefer HTC Sense plus Sense is already very good, so I'd prefer not to have the extra load (if I had to make do with rubbish like MotoBlur I would though). Hence the need for that app?
Hi; you use backup pro... Freeze the app U Donna want more... Only this

I'm pretty sure My Backup Pro doesn't support App Freezing. I've just installed Titanium (thanks Homerstar296, I see what you mean now) and it's root check annoyingly failed. I'm definitely rooted. Apparently I also need "BusyBox".
Is this safe to install/activate? I don't want to brick my phone obviously.
Just install busy box and it should work. No risk by installing that.

What part of 'All (!) Programs' is so hard to understand? They aren't shortcuts.

This only removes the icon, the app is still installed on the phone.

Didn't realize that...
But it is less clutter in my drawer
I also use LauncherPro so I can "hide" all those apps I don't want, and now my drawer has no junk in it.

This app has a service that starts up when you reboot. Yes, it doesn't remove the app, but it stops it from starting up the service and it is no longer accessible from the app drawer. In fact, when I did this trick, the icon didn't immediately go away from the LP app drawer, and I tried accessing it again. It was no longer usable.
Even if it's not freed up from the device, it's essentially dead.
Brand new getting my first 10 posts in so THANKS to OP for this tip.
Thanks for this.
or you could just temp root and freeze it. lol that works too.

[Q] Root only apps

Hi, I just finished rooting my galaxy nexus.
I rooted only to raise the speaker volume.
I know that rooting allows you to install more powerfull apps.
What are the best root-only apps ?
First thing I installed was AdFree. Root File Explorer is good, too. Oh, and Titanium Backup.
Check out this article:
http://lifehacker.com/5806135/the-10-best-android-apps-that-make-rooting-your-phone-worth-the-hassle
Totally need this thread. Because this has never been asked before...
FWIW I use ROM manager, AdFree, Titanium Backup, ES File Explorer, SD-Booster.
Ad free, titanium backup, file explorer, wifi tether, disk usage and voltage control.

Droidwall my friend, so you can block stupid permissions on apps like Titanium Backup from accessing the web and stealing all your info.

What, in your opinion, is the best app (rooted)? I mean the "ONE" that blows them all out of the water.

[Q] Permissions management & protection

Hi
I've tried and looked for several apps to manage the app permissions: LBESM, Pdroid, XPrivacy and so on...
Some apps don't work correctly and others aren't compatible with AOSP 4.2.2.
I'd like to have your point of view to have trust app to manager the permissions and if possible (or another app) to identify possible malwares.
Atm the better one for Permissions mangement is "Permissions Management" available in my Rom and BitDefender Mobile Security for malwares.
Thanks.
PS: I know that several topics already deal with this subject but I'd like to discuss with fresh information and compatible (AOSP 4.2.2 + Note II).
I would recommend you to use ROM toolbox.
it has inbuilt auto start manager which helps you to manage permissions efficiently.
Thanks, I'll have a look soon.
What is the exact option?
Edit
I found it.
Other ideas ?

People having trouble with Titanium Backup, I had many problems as well so months ago I started using Helium. It only does app backup but works much better and allows you to sync app data between devices.

The only problem I have is that my Bluetooth keyboard won't connect while using this ROM. It's fine on Cyanogenmod. Can you switch to their BT driver, or can I change that myself somehow? Otherwise a fine ROM, thanks!
