after downloaading and flashing pa_gapps-modular-mini-4.4.4-20141011-signed everything seemed normal but then it wanted to update and there was a total of 4 files i selected the newest and when it got done i had no sound. The same thing happened a couple of days ago when i flashed the newest one first. Is there a solution for this ?
I assume you are running a legacy device (not a nexus, oppo, or 1+1)?
If so you need to ask your device maintainer as it's not supported by us.

You will need to discuss it with your maintainer

I posted the following in the CM thread, but as per usual received no replies. So ...
Can anyone explain about encrypting the device (8.4)
If I encrypt and then install a Nightly over the top, would the encryption be removed or would the update fail because of the encryption?
Things like that.
Also should I be able to use a USB Ethernet adaptor with CM, i.e.
Code:
http://www.amazon.com/Plugable-Ethernet-Network-Chromebook-Specific/dp/B00484IEJS/ref=sr_1_3/191-9971465-1538020?ie=UTF8&qid=1416071918&sr=8-3&keywords=usb+ethernet
It worked many months ago when using the stock ROM, but can't get it to work with CM when I've tried it recently.
Thanks for any help.

*Can't post links so I replaced them with google search strings that will get you there...
I had trouble with this ages ago and lots of people have complained in the past that CyanogenMod can't be taken seriously until it works with encryption. This was the original issue in the CyanogenMod bug tracker at the time I had the problem (back on a Galaxy Nexus like a year ago...): (google: jira cyanogenmod 2547 dashboard) which has a link to a new issue on CM11m7: (google: jira cyanogenmod 4342 dashboard). According to that issue in the History tab it says it's fixed for CM11m8. I can't verify any of this, and I just ordered a Tab Pro 8.4 and waiting on it to come in... just browsing the forums and this question reminded me of this issue from the past... hope this info might be helpful.

Thank you for replying
But it still doesn't answer my questions.
Changelogs found, look at the post below...
I found an app that will show what has been changed within lineageOS, you can download it easily in the play store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vasudevrb.cmchangelog
You can use https://www.cmxlog.com
It was restarted, so no device are shown for now, but you can see the whole changes.

Laurent

Yes i know, i have had contact with the developer that made the app I referred to in the post above, and he told me that he got his sources from the site you referred to. I used his app already when it was cyanogen. So when cm stopped, the app didn't get updated anymore, but after I asked him if he would rebrand it to LineageOS and he confirmed that he would, I got an update yesterday for the app. For now its only logs for the complete ROM, not yet specific for every device. But it will be when the official ROMs start to get released.
Thanks for responding.

Hi, I'm not asking for an ETA but I was told that Cracking would get official Lineage OS and have been waiting for it for ages, somebody told me the build failed in Jenkins or something and I wouldn't be getting it. Basically I just want to know if I'll be getting the official build at all. It is listed as getting Lineage,. Should I continue to wait excited or give up hope haha? Any help is appreciated thanks guys.

They are still rolling out the initial builds. If your device is on the list, you should not be concerned, just patient.
It was one of the first build and the build is broken:
https://jenkins.lineageos.org/job/android/21/
https://jenkins.lineageos.org/job/android/22/
Nobody correct this for now
The last three cm13 "weeklys" also broken, and nobody fix it
A nightly just arrived at the LineageOS-Downloadpage
But no experimental for migration

Some phones don't have experimental because have changes that it's mandatory wipe data but seems that this week none of the phone builds have an experimental....

If I take a look at the first link Bastlwastl2010 posted above, i guess there should be an experimental for the swift. Unfortunately it was broken last week
USB OTG?
Hi,
has anybody tested if USB OTG works in this ROM?
Hello fellow users !
A couple of days ago, I saw that the Stylo 2 Plus is going to get an update installing the new ?Nougat 7.0?! Anxious, I wanted to get it, but after long searches later... I found a thread in the T-Noble forums that people installed what was a security update and not 7.0. An employee later replied saying that they also got too exited and won't launch the new update until later date. It was a bummer, as I had backed up everything (Nandroid and file backup) to install a new custom ROM but there aren't any compatible then found about the nougat update. Phone broken after after flashing an incompatible ROM, restored the Nandroid backup then....
BUT ENOUGH OF STORY TELLING!!! (Why did you stop??? -_-)
Here to get new features aren't cha?
1.WELL YUST CONnect your phone to LG Bridge and update from there...
Anticlimactic I know (lol) but it can't get any simpler!
Problems connecting to LG Bridge? install the drivers from the LG page or look online.
Also here for root?
Well head on over to @messi2050 's thread located here [[Recovery] Twrp v3 For Lg Stylo 2 Plus]
this method that was first intended for the 6.0.1 version, is still MM compatible and works perfectly with my device!
Don't know about Xposed though (can someone comment about that)
Thanks for reading my thread!(and the story if you did lol)

Really? Seems people dont have it from all the comments I've been seeng.
It probably depends on your service provider if they had the update earlier for you. For example. T-Moble was going to release the nougat update the 15th of may but it had turned out to be another security update.

Well I have the tmobile variant and I've had it for months now. Maybe some people rooted their phone or something so they didn't get an Ota or something.
Proof of root! (Will edit this onto first post when I get home)
