Hello, im from Chile and i want to buy the M8, the thing is that here in Chile, the LTE bands are 2600mhz and 700mhz, but the developer doesn't support 2600mhz, just 700mhz.
What would you choose, the developer edition or the AT&T (obviously i will have to s-off and SIM Unlock it and change the rom to delete all AT&T stuff)?
any advice?
no answers? :S
Developer device is same hardware as AT&T device....I got confused on their site as well, but they are same except for carrier bloat and unlocked bootloaders
good to know that.... but does that means that developers edition comes with LTE 2600mhz too?? or just 700mhz (17/2/4/5)?
i need bands 7 and 17 in Chile for LTE (2600mhz and 700mhz)

Only LTE Bands 17/4/2/5 are supported on the Dev device.
There is a conflict on the LTE bands supported on the AT&T and HTC USA sites.
So is Band 3 (1800) supported?
Hi, I have a China Unicom version of M8, which is compatible with both 3/4G of China Unicom and China Mobile.
While now I am in the US and use a T-Mobile SIM, I wonder,
1) Can I change it to a T-Mobile version such that I can then use T-Mobile 4G LTE networks?
I currently can only access T-Mobile 3G networks (HSPA+). I checked that the China Unicom version M8 support FDD-1800/2100MHz 4G LTE band (according to HTC-China official site), while T-Mobile's 4G frequency includes Band 2 (1900 MHz), Band 4 (1700/2100 MHz), Band 12 (700 MHz) (according to T-Mobile official site). It seems it should be compatible.
2) I currently cannot receive any Wireless Emergency Alerts message, is it because my phone is of China Unicom version? Then can I receive these messages by change my M8 with a T-Mobile Rom?
Thank you very much for your reading this thread and kind help.
up up up and up~~~
Hey,
Is there anyway that I can change the bands on my E9+ to use the U.S. AT&T LTE bands?
These are the bands that I Need: AT&T 4G HSPA and HSPA+ use 850Mhz(Band 5) and 1900Mhz(Band 2) bands but it all depends on area if they own a license. LTE uses Band 17(700Mhz), Band 5(850Mhz), Band 2(1900Mhz), Band 4(1700/2100Mhz) currently.
Thanks in advance..
Does HTC ONE M8 support 4G LTE?
Yes, of course - GSM / HSPA / LTE

More importantly, what band(s) does your carrier use for LTE? And you should buy a M8 version that supports that band(s) out of the box. As the specific band support depends on the M8 variant (as you can see in the link in the previous response).
It may or may not be possible to mode the LTE band support with s-off. Its not a sure thing, so its best to ensure LTE support, to buy the proper M8 variant.
