Hi all. Xposed doesn't seem to be functional on lollipop.
What are you guys using to give xposed like commands ??
Is there any alternative?? Or we have to wait for its update??

I don't know of any. But xposed does work on lollipop. My Nexus 7 2013 is running 5.0.2 & xposed works just fine. There's a super alpha 5.1 build, but not all modules are updated yet. There's also a few threads with a list of working modules on lollipop.
Same Problem. Super alpha not compatible :/.....
I've got Xposed installed on 5.0.1 running GB and G3 Tweaksbox. I also have Amplify, YouTube ad-away, Greenify, and AC Display all running.
I am running 5.1.1 with xposed for 5.1 GOTO the thread they have a whole list of working modules, I have Greenify,Amplify,Gravity box alpha5.1,APM+,YouTube add a way all working, and all the HTC 4all blinkfeed,camera,gallery,music..ect

albeit xposed for 5.1.1 is up and running in the meant time it's beside the fact that is "per se" a huge hack, not really close to how it worked under KK. that's not a complaint, just stating a know fact. therefore i'm currently staying away from it, at least as long as "app settings" per app dpi does not work. what i did i tried to find solutions and/or roms to replace the main modules i was using before:
a) greenify + xposed experimental stuff: solution greenify paid version and lollipop OS improvements together produced the same battery experience for me like the one i had in KK which was 1-2% usage over a 8-10 hours period of idle time ( this together with (b)
b) amplify: read a and make it greenify +xposed features + amplify
c) app settings: no replacement found ( per app dpi ) dpi change system wide has never been difficult, currently i use 85% of default, depending on the device of which i'm using 7, the number differs, that's why i took percent.
d) silent mode / true silent mode: i made a tasker setup to deal with the matter and it works as well as before, but you need a cm-based rom
e) xBlast / GravityBox, depending: more or less all the features i was using with xposed modules and cm11 under KK are now bundled into various
custom roms + themes, be it RR or CM-Theme engine. thus i'm satisfied with what i got and don't desperately need xBlast or GravityBox ATM.
Hello fellow OP3 owners;
I recently rooted my OP3 and am a noob when it comes to Layers. I've only ever used CM theme engine. I'd like to stay on Oxygen until the binaries for dash charging are released.
My question is, does Oxygen support Layers? Now that I am rooted is there anything special I might need to do to get it working?
Anybody with expertise to discuss is appreciated. Hope everyone is enjoying their new device as I am
Cheers!
Just installed layers manager and layers showcase from the play store and it worked. Sweet. It also doesn't trigger the safetynet check so if you are using systemless root, Android pay should still work. The downside though is that many layers on the play store don't list compatibility with the OP3 so many of them are harder to get from the showcase app.
Edit: Should mention I'm on OOS 3.1.2 with systemless SuperSU.

Every theme *should* work but I've noticed most ones that theme the "Framework" have issues such as not booting or rebooting when you get power menu style popups.

I installed xposed version 3.1.1 and v87-sdk23 arm in my lg g3 D85130e with the stock-rom 6.0 and apparently everything was installed well but the changes of the modules do not apply to me I tried several modules and nothing anyone here who has it Installed?

Did the same long ago in order to enable Themes on Stock Rom but for any reason Xposed never works, modules never enabled even after reboot, install and reinstall.. After all I have to remove all the modules as well as Xposed framework.
It seems that is working just on 10R and 20G.
@flako72, I know this sounds silly but do you have root on 30e? Only ask cause some folks seem to have problems with root on 30e. They then downgrade to 30d. Or am I thinking of their problems of rooting the phone when starting out with 30e.
@PonchosoftX, you're referring to modems/bootstacks? I use 20G modem on 20E bootstack but on stock-based MM ROMs Xposed and its modules work fine. On some I even use G3 Tweaksbox themes (Tekcafe 3.x, Nimax Slim Fit 2.0).
Granted none of those are based on D851 stock.
[ correction: Nimax is only for D851 though I forget its base ]
The Arko Project is debloated 30d. I'll be reflashing it with a full setup and Xposed. Given that the ROM comes with Xposed Installer bundled (not the framework) that indicates the framework and modules should work.

I use pure stock 30D with root and never able to make it works..The only reason I wanted to use is to changes themes.. D851 cames with kind of ugly Icons and just wanted to change without change the Launcher that actually I like very much.
Then there is nothing safe for this stock rom with xposed I think it would be one of the reasons that would make me try nougat night versions
@PonchosoftX,
No. Xposed works on 30D. Others use it just fine. There is something missing or not right. The superuser used (SuperSU preferred), SELinux mode (permissive needed, especially if wanting to use Unicon to change icons), etc.
Take a look through the 30D stock thread. Search for Xposed and you will find folks using the framework. In particular check out this post for some ideas.

Hello! Bought a MI6, unlocked it and decided to install the usual stuff, Tasker, Xposed with various modules like MinMinGuard, but the biggest obstacle so far has been the inability to boot if resource hooks aren't disabled in the settings. Have tried various combinations of Xposed and nougat based MIUI roms like global/china dev, xiaomi.eu weeklies, Epic. The modules I'm trying to run seem to heavily rely on those hooks, is there any rom out there that would actually run properly with Xposed? It doesn't even have to be MIUI based, just something that WORKS

Download and install the xposed installer first and download zip through it.
- Install Magisk
- Go to Download section, search for xposed
- Install the xPosed installer for Magisk given in the text link
- Install the suitable framework
works and does not get kicked out by ROM updates.
Xposed doesn't work on miui 10 for our device. It gives bootloop.
I believe SELinux has to be _permissive_

I have seen you referring this microG many times with much admiration. The only microG I know is a small app required to sign in YouTube vanced and the older og YouTube. But of course you are talking about something much more complex. So what is that much useful that microG and fake gapps offer? I predict that it might need a lengthy answer so a summary would be good enough too.

Raptorddd, it is not possible using xPosed modules or framework on MIUI based ROMs. I was merely answering the general question if it can be installed on the Redmi Note 5. That question did not ask for MIUI.
To make that clear once again to all other users:
- MIUI uses a special framework that does not allow working with usual xPosed framwork
- Oreo AOSP and LIneage based ROMs do install and work with xPosed.
I have never used Gapps on my Redmi Note 5. I have microG on all my Oreo ROMs based on AOSP and Lineage. The easiest are Havoc and Aosip, these happen to be the two best ones at this time (for me). I have packed the Google Sync adapters and all microG modules in two zip files that I can flash from TWRP. That way the somewhat tedious installation of microG is vastly simplyfied when changing ROM. Nanodroid in the thread includes items I don't want.

well lets say its a lite version of google play services.. means more battery and also i can feel more responsive and snappier once you remove it. the only thing i log in is my google account for playstore.. microg replaces playservices.. that has like 300 services and and maybe 20 are on. while microg has like 7 or so.. on and less then 20 services..
i just want longer battery and more performance.. with microG that guy said on link that he added the signature to miui 10. i have not tried it yet.. easy way is magisk module or in nougat roms that are deodexed... oreo is odexed so cant patch it.. they are working on a patch that woks on oreo.. also 9.0 pie has problems i assumed rom is deodexed.
Gapps is a major contributor to battery consumption, most of the services are calling home functions that ensure Google gets also the last bit of where you go and what you do. Google Play services ensures this still happening in particular when there are non-Google apps running. Over the years it has been developed from an acceptable application framework to ensure location, notification and app service functions to a heavy prying tool. It is important for Google, which that is why it's force updated.
Google is making app developers disabling apps functioning, if no Google apps are installed, even though the app would work perfectly fine without.
That is where microG comes in. It is a not always a 100% replacement, some apps such as Google maps work only partially with microG, though there are alternatives for almost everything. https://shadow53.com/android/no-gapps/setup-guide/microg/
Tried to flash Xposed today only via Magisk 17.1v
Ended up in bootloop for MIUI 10 Developer ROM.
P.S.- Reflash the same zip via Recovery to uninstall and get out of boot loop
Some are claiming Xposed v90-beta3 is working with MIUI 10 but i've tried and it just results in a bootloop or booting to TWRP.
Has anyone on here had any success with xposed and MIUI 10?
Doesn't work, I tried and it too ended up in bootloop.

Indeed, long battery would be just fine, I expected working for nearly 24 hours but my phone had no charge in 18 hours or maybe it's the issue with my device?
