I just tried to flash the twrp in development but when i try to make a backup or anything it fails to mount and says my storage is 0mbs. I have encryption enabled in android not sure if it matters. Anyone know how to get twrp working?
First off, this is the proper TWRP version: https://dl.twrp.me/zerofltespr/
And TWRP will not mount an encrypted drive as far as I know. Decrypt, make your backup, encrypt again.

So I flahed the new MDB08M image and since it uses the "I" boot image I went ahead and flashed the modified boot.img and flashed TWRP and used it to root as I didn't have SuperSU zip on the device yet. After flashing the new system I didn't do any factory reset.
Now TWRP says that internal storage is 0mb and it can't mount /data. Every time I boot into it, it comes up with the screen asking me if I want to modify /system or leave it read only. I check the box to not show it again and swipe to modify.
I've tried using adb again to flash recovery but it didn't help. Any suggestions?
Edit: bootloader also sais I'm secure, and in security it sais I'm encrypted..
TWRP can't decrypt /data on the N5X yet. You can format from TWRP, but you'll lose the contents, of course.

I thought by flashing the modified boot image that would decrypt? It did on MDB08I..
The modified boot just changes flag to encrytable instead of force encryption. It doesn't actually decrypt the drive contents. Once you wipe it then you can mount data in TWRP.

so just factory reset in TWRP?
Edit: reflashed firmware, flashed modified boot and did a factory reset in stock recovery. reflashed TWRP and all is good. thank you
I have a retail 910V converted to DE, and so far I've been pretty happy, except that I can't seem to get TWRP to mount my /data partition after encrypting the phone. I understand that TWRP will need my password to mount the partition correctly, but it doesn't seem to have the option anywhere to accept that password.
Anything I can do? And if I want to do a factory reset, how would I go about doing that given TWRP can't seem to access the partition at all?
Thanks all!
I've recently updated my htc 10 to Android 7.0 using the 2.38.617.6 firmware and added twrp to use for backup purposes. I have attempted to root the device with chainfire's supersu, but failed due to data being in the wrong format.
First off, I managed to find out the the system partition is ridiculously large (17,592,186,044,365 MB) leading me to believe that the system partition has been corrupted.
I've checked the format type for each partition (data, system and cache) they check out to be ext4.
As the title of the post states, I've also ran into that problem before the system partition size issue.
Also, when trying to reboot the system through twrp, I get the message, "No OS Installed! Are you sure you..." but the phone boots up just fine.
Any help is appreciated.
ensure you flashed the latest unoffical twrp from the xda twrp thread. not the official one.

I have fixed the issue. I had to find and flash the latest ruu because I had restore the /data partition from when I had the phone rooted and downloaded xposed. I ran through the same process after the flash without restoring the data partition and now it work.
Only downside is that I can't restore my data until xposed has a compatible framework. Thanks for replying.
I got a clean backup of the twrp formatted the sd card with external memory I mounted the backup in the external sd and restored the system .... With that I was successful:dedos cruzados::dedos cruzados:
Can't wipe data, if you look at it in twrp in says 0 mb. Try to boot into Lineage and it says encryption error. How can I restore DATA to a working partition. I don't need to save anything the tablet is new to me.
I finally just restored everything to stock with odin, now I get to battle getting twrp back on it. Appears to be fine now, at least it boots. Can't seem to get twrp to stick
I'm using TWRP v3.2.1-0 and rooted with Magisk 14.6.
I'm trying to backup system files and can't make it work. When I try to backup to internal storage, I get an error message that says: "Cannot create /data/media/0/TWRP' folder (Operation not permitted)." It doesn't matter what files I try to save or what I have mounted, I always get that error. It appears to be a file permission problem.
So, I tried using a thumb drive with the OTG adapter. When I do that, I'm unable to mount the drive in TWRP. I can mount it when booted into the system, but not in TWRP. In TWRP, selecting USB-OTG as the storage device does nothing.
Does anybody else have this problem or know how to fix it?
