Amazon Ad Moto G5 Nougat Xposed and Magisk question

I did some searching, however I was getting a lot of results not related EXACTLY to the my question and a lot outdated (since Xposed is just now officially working for Nougat). So I figured it would be best just to ask. I'm not asking for people to do searching for me or HOW to do these things, I can do that on my own I just want to make sure its all possible before I go and buy a new phone. My LG G3 is currently in my oven and I'm trying to fix it, its been a good phone to me but I don't think its going to last long.
I've been eyeing the Moto G5 plus. My question is it possible to systemless root with Magisk (I want to bypass SafteyNet) and also get Xposed working on this device? There are quite a few xposed apps I can't live without anymore.
Thank you.
This is the Moto G5 forum - the plus has its own forum
I can answer for the Moto G5 only
Magisk doesn't work with systemless root - magisk hide doesn't work (magisk can root but not hide root or run modules)
Xposed works fine
When we get oreo it maybe possible to get systemless root with SuperSu but won't know until we get it
With lineageos you can use the lineageos su & then you can disable root via dev options - this will allow basic integrity to pass meaning most apps that check for root will work but of course root will be disabled.
Cts profile will always be false as system has been modified - you can make this pass with xposed but then as that requires root basic integrity will be false & since you can't hide root it means root checking apps will not work if you install xposed

Universal safety net

After flashing universal safetynet, when i open magisk manager it shows magisk is not install but in case i have installed it. The safety net succes with ctsProfile and basicIntegrity.
Please help me out of it.
It happens in my Moto G5s(montana)
Thanks in advance it will be big help for me.

Universal SafetyNet is long discontinued. You're better off with @Didgeridoohan's Magisk Hide Props Config module.
Sent from my Moto G5S using XDA Labs
Not only is it discontinued, while it was still being actively developed it was already replacing Magisk internals with it's own stuff (a rather stupid move causing all kinds of problems). Now, even though it's dead, it's zombie corpse is still moving about the internet, eating the brains of Magisk and messing up users devices.
Please tell me how can I fix this issue ?
Please
This zip is there after flashing safety net ?
MagiskHidePropsConfig what i should do ?
Please help me ??

SU Addon or Magisk? [addonsu]

How do I decide whether to root with the "LineageOS SU Addon" or with Magisk?

For root only the addon is OK. If you wish to hide root from selected apps, play Pokémon go (as soon as safetynet is fixed) or use some fancy modules (like equaliser app viper4android) use magisk.
I am currently using addon su as I felt violated by the persistent & automatic module being installed by swift installer.
I must say it works seamlessly with privacy guard and with the help of an additional app available on xda labs
iSu
I'll be able to pass safetynet, once the selinux status becomes enforcing.
You can also set it to disable root when you run particular apps.. Such as pokenon

I thank you for sharing those good ideas. But there is a common misunderstanding regarding safetynet. Apps like Pokémon go refuse to work, if safetynet is triggered by your phone setup. As safetynet is closed source and regularly updated, it can be triggered by an arbitrary detail. Not only root like some apps show in their refus-to-work messages.

ISu does try to cover that aspect, change props, fingerprint etc
Change kernel to enforcing etc etc. But I agree, it's a Cat and mouse game

Redmi note 8t custom rom and NFC

Hi, folks. I have a redmi note 8t.
I would like to know if installing a custom rom from miui (EU, MIglobe...) keeps the NFC for payments . I have heard that you can't, that you have to do root and install a magistk module...I hope you can help me with this doubt, since I have unlocked the bootloader...thank you very much!
I have MiUiMix on Android 9 with preinstalled root. I just downloaded magisk manager app and enabled magisk hide. Payments in Poland works.
Lineage 17.1 with Magisk & MagiskHidePropsConf.
Google Pay works fine (france).
Edit: Also, Widevine still L1 so Netflix in HD, Banks app, Pokemon Go works, etc..

If I got you right, you're asking if unlocking bootloader doesn't allow using NFC. If I'm not mistaken, I could use NFC when I unlocked the phone, but I'm not exactly sure.
If you ask after installing a custom ROM NFC works, for that yes, you definitely need to install magisk. Don't be scared though, it's an easy process. Just flash a ROM, then finalize it (ie. start the mobile and setup the ROM). Once you're done with it, go back to twrp and flash magisk. Then install magisk manager (apk).
When in magisk manager both parts are green (that both are installed and working right), rename magisk manager (change it to something other than manager), let it download magisk manager again, and turn on magisk hide. Restart the phone, and in the menu you'll find from which apps manager should hide itself. Choose the banking apps and you're all ready to go.
I use the same mobile, and these are the steps I took. It's simple, straightforward and intuitive. Don't worry, you'll have NFC once you follow these simple steps.
Thank you so much for your answer... I'm sorry I didn't answer sooner, but I couldn't because of my job...
Now I have the EU stable (miui11) waiting for me to update to 12 .... recommend me another rom based on miui ? .... thanks again and a greeting!

First, you're most welcome!
Second, I didn't use any miui based ROM. Of those I tried, I fancied them in decreasing order as follows:
crDroid
LineageOS
Pixel Experience / Paranoid Android
In general, I can't say I'm dissatisfied with any. It's just minor stuff that put one over another, and all have been good in general. I use crDroid now simply because it allows more customizations - albeit I can't use front and aux cams. It's a singular issue though, as I don't read this from other users.
So I'd say try any, if you want. Because I use it now, I'd recommend crDroid but you'll find fans of all, and others that I didn't mention. It comes down to trial and error in the end.
NFC works with all four that I mentioned. In the beginning, when I first rooted and installed a custom ROM, my banking app warned me that I use a rooted phone and whatever, yet it's simple to fix. Don't worry about making NFC work, it really is easy. Step by step,
Install magisk from twrp
Install magisk manager
Rename magisk manager app
Open the app and let it install magisk again
Restart
Enable magisk hide
Restart
Then install your banking app and from magisk manager, add the banking app to hidden apps
And that's it. It seems a long process but takes five minutes.
Thank you very much for your comment my friend .....I have it in mind to install these roms ....greetings!
